  1. Anybody not named Clowney, Mack, Watkins, Evans, Robinson, or Matthews. Since probability of that happening is less than 50%, try like hell to trade down. Start creating a buzz around the QB's. Bring in Bridgewater and Carr for visits. Make teams like Cleveland start sweating that they can wait to take a QB.
  2. Reluctantly agree. Manuel didn't show much last year, but he showed enough where you gotta give him another year. It's not like any of the QB's in this year's draft don't have a lot of questions. I actually think Carr will be the best QB in this draft.
  3. Looks a bit like the Penn State "we fulfilled all our legal obligations" Sandusky response. Interesting that FSU doesn't refute the Assistant AD calling TPD about the matter in January 2013.
  4. If Clowney, Robinson, Matthews, Mack, Watkins, and Evans are all gone, I'd take Cleveland's early 2nd rounder to move down to #26. Someone like Beckham, Mosley, or Roby could still be there at #26. Seferian-Jenkins could be there at #35. Draft has 1st round talent through mid 2nd round. All drafts are not equal. Trade value chart more a guide than anything else.
  5. Would love if Bills traded down with Cleveland picking up Cleveland's early 2nd rounder. Cleveland assures themselves of getting Carr and Bills can collect another quality starter at pick #35. If the top 6 non-QB's all go before pick #9, difference in quality of player at #26 won't be that large.
  6. Great that he's saying he'd keep team in buffalo, but can't see how this would end well. Doesn't have any attachment to area or anything in common with the fan base. After brief honeymoon stage, could see things go south quickly. Meddling, loudmouth, glitzy owner in a blue collar town.
  7. I'd rather trade up for Watkins, Evans, or Mack than either of the tackles. Give raiders our 1st and 3rd round picks for pick #5. Odds of any of the top 6 non-QB prospects dropping to 9th pick are slim. If we get Evans or Watkins, trade Stevie to Carolina for a 3rd round pick.
  8. +1. Not sure why they'd tinker with the timing of draft but I guess if NFL had no problems moving Super Bowl into February, moving draft back 2 weeks isn't a big deal to them.
  9. If Clowney, Mack, Watkins, Evans, Robinson and Matthews are all gone, gotta hope someone wants to trade up for one of the QB's.
  10. More and more things pointing to a Spiller trade. Bills supposedly interested in Chris Johnson. Bills bringing in most of top RB's for draft visits. Now this news about Philly inquiring about Spiller. If Bills aren't gonna be able to re-sign him, I'd take a 2nd round pick for him.
  11. Agreed. Slow feet in pocket and not a fast release. Has a good arm (not as good as Carr's), but don't think he'd hold up to an NFL pass rush.
  12. 0.07 seconds faster in the 40 is by a longshot? If you watch them, Ebron is better over the middle and on screens. He catches it, gets up the field quickly, and breaks tackles. Ebron is the more physical player. Also seems like less of a head case. Wouldn't have a problem with Evans at #9 because the guy is super talented, but Ebron is too.
  13. I'd probably prefer Evans also, but their physical traits are pretty close. If you go by combine measurements, Evans is 3/8th's of an inch taller, 0.07 seconds faster in the 40, arms are 1 and 7/8th's inches longer, and vertical is 5 inches higher. Ebron has 19 pounds on him and is significantly stronger (24 reps vs. 12). Depends on what you're looking for. Ebron better across the middle and on screens. Can use him as a fullback too. Evans better in jump ball situations and on the outside. Some people here are selling Ebron short. He is a very good prospect. Not sure about him at #9, but if we could trade back I'd be happy with him in the middle of the first round.
  14. I'm not a big fan of Ebron at #9, but Tight Ends are basically big WR's now. Impact is much greater now than ever before. Look at the numbers some of these guys have put up in the last 3-4 years. Gronkowski and Graham would be top 10 picks today, probably top 5, if they came out of college as clean prospects.
  15. I'd take Geno over Bridgewater. At least Geno has an NFL arm. Can't understand how anyone has Bridgewater rated ahead of Carr. Carr is a better athlete and has an elite NFL arm. Guy throws lasers all over the field. He stands in the pocket and takes hits. His team won at a high level. He's
  16. If Derek Carr wasn't David Carr's brother, he'd be talked about more as a top 5 pick. I'd take him before Bridgewater and maybe even Bortles. Wouldn't be surprised if he's taken before our pick.
  17. Can't see Bills taking Ebron at #9. Maybe in a trade-down. No obvious candidates like Rams last year who'd want to trade up though. Brandon and Whaley seem pretty aggressive so I wouldn't be surprised with a trade up to get Robinson or Mack. Jax, Cleveland, and Oakland prime candidates. Similar to us with EJ, if one of them likes Carr, they can safely trade down and still get him at #9.
  18. Run on 1st down, Run on 2nd down, Pass on 3rd down, Punt
  19. Spiller is an excellent RB, but doesn't fit with Marrone's style. He's a better fit in a more pass-happy spread offense. Doubt he re-signs here next year. Best for both sides if you trade him now.
  20. +1. Perfect RT for a smash-mouth team. Guy is a nasty people mover.
  21. Unless it's for Clowney, can't see the Bills trading up. We already have a LT so I'd be surprised if we take a Tackle at #9 much less trade up unless it's a mauler like Robinson. If we can't get Clowney, Bills best case scenario would be someone like Cleveland trading up to #9 if one of the top QB's fall. Cleveland's #26, #35, and #106 pick approximates value of #9 pick. Could pick 3 of Kouiandjio, Crichton, Ford, Hyde, Niklas with our top 3 picks.
  22. Would people trade Spiller to Denver for their 1st round pick (#31)? It makes a lot of sense for both sides. Denver needs to go all in with Manning on borrowed time. Doesn't seem like Spiller's talents mesh with Marrone's smash-mouth preference. Would be surprised if Spiller is still a Bill after the draft. Chris Johnson stuff and Bills checking out all the top RB's in the draft seems like there is a lot smoke.
  23. Highly doubt a WR or TE is in play for pick #9. Williams, Johnson, and Woods are a solid top 3 with Goodwin as a deep threat. Chandler is an adequate TE. Given Marrone's preference for running the ball, improving the run game is more of a need at this point. OL and a younger version of Freddy are biggest needs on offense.
  24. Matthews/Robinson in 1st and Crichton in 2nd would be a solid draft. If a dude can dream I'd take Clowney and Kouindjio in the first 2 rounds if it cost me Spiller and next years 2nd rounder. Pass rusher and OT are Bills biggest needs given Marrone's style. Another workhorse back probably right behind.
  25. Stranger things have happened, but if Mack makes it to Atlanta, good chance one of the top 2 OT's makes it to us and that's assuming St Louis takes one which isn't a lock.
