  1. As far as Kaepernick goes, if SF was willing to let Harbaugh walk then it wouldn't be that far-fetched for them to listen to offers for Kaepernick. He's also got a weird contract and felt like Harbaugh was the only one in the organization who had his back when he was accused/implicated of sexual misconduct.
  2. Hiring Rex and signing guys like Incognito means Bills are in win-now mode. I think have Bills have their eye on bigger QB targets than unproven guys like Glennon. Wouldn't surprise me if Bills go after a guy like Kaepernick, who SF might be interested in trading for right price.
  3. Is there any doubt Lynch walks it in from the 1 especially after everything that happened in the previous minute? Seahawks got too cute with the clock and didn't finish off a wounded opponent.
  4. It was absurd. In addition to all the other points mentioned, the Pats were finished. Crazy catch by Kearse. Belichik didn't know whether to call a timeout. Pats D played the run from the 5 like they didn't know whether they should let Lynch score or not. They were done. Lynch would've walked in on the next play.
  5. Culture of cheating. Only way to make it stop is to ban Belichick for a long time. If Goodell has any guts or integrity, that's what he should do. Let him coach the Super Bowl and if they win, asterisk the crap out of it. After that, ban him for at least 2 years. Taking away the 31st or 32nd pick in the draft is a joke. Already tried that, cheating culture continued.
  6. I actually think the opposite. If the game was close, people's heads would be exploding about this. People would be talking about Pats forfeiting game and Belichick being football's Pete Rose.
  7. If the game was close, NFL would have a tremendous problem on their hands. Repeat offender, serial cheater. Not trying to be dramatic, but not sure how Goodell doesn't ban Belichick for life.
  8. I'd take him in the 2nd round. Given the importance of the QB position, his physical tools, and how he came up big on the big stage 3 straight times, it would be worth the risk.
  9. I recall a lot of bed-wetting when Pettine got hired by Cleveland, and how defense was gonna take a step back changing to a 4-3.
  10. Sign Sanchez to a 1 year deal. Let him battle it out with EJ. Spend money on fixing O Line. Draft a TE in 2nd round. Ground and Pound.
  11. I believe there is an etiquette in NFL that you don't announce nfl coaching hires during playoff weekends
  12. Best he can get to vouch for him is the Special Teams Assistant? Was his mom unavailable?
  13. Shanahan would probably be best case scenario. Keep Schwartz and defense in tact. Bring Shanahan aboard and you gotta think he'd fix offense. Cutler or Bradford more likely if Shanahan is here. Just as important as finding head coach or maybe moreso is how we're gonna improve QB situation. Bradford and Cutler, with their horrible contracts, are basically free agents. Gotta think at least one of those guys would prefer playing for Shanahan over their current situation.
  14. Polian thought he was gonna win big with Orton and Marrone? If anything, this buys him another month until Hall of Fame vote and doesn't marginalize Whaley in the coach selection process.
  15. Wasn't Whaley in Pittsburgh when cowher was there?
  16. Interesting that Polian was calling for Maronne to be considered for coach of the year a month ago and he doesn't advise Pegula to give him more money.
  17. Can see Goodell's mitts all over this if true. Goodell isn't gonna let a dysfunctional franchise bring the NFL back to LA. No doubt that Brandon worked closely with Goodell the past couple years acting as a defacto owner. Goodell probably told Davis that only way I'm letting you into LA is if you hire someone that I trust to run things.
  18. Wouldn't surprise me if Brandon leaves. Bills are a stable organization now. Brandon more of a distressed organization specialist.
  19. Disagree. If Reich didn't win big right away, fanbase would be flying planes overhead calling him a wimp. Dumb not to consider. Personality of fanbase and media is part of organizational fit.
  20. Unless he's a drastically different person from when he played for the Bills, can't see Reich doing well coaching the Jets. Complete personality mismatch with Jets fanbase.
  21. Orton looks like he saved Maronne's job and probably Whaley's too. So it was worth it for them.
  22. Landry Jones. If Polian is being brought on to consult, he thought Jones was best QB of the 2013 draft. Could probably be had for 5th or 6th rounder.
  23. Quality GM's don't make the Watkins trade. I like Sammy and I give Whaley credit for having the balls to make that move, but you can't make that trade when your QB's are Manuel, Thad, and Tuel.
  24. Need to do what Pete Carroll did at Seattle. Keep bringing in vets and drafting QB's until you find one. Sign or trade for a vet, and draft another one. Let Manuel compete with those 2 and hopefully cream rises to top.
  25. Flacco was a quality starting QB almost immediately. Manuel being the tallest midget in his draft class doesn't mean Whaley/Bills had to draft him in 1st round. Only organizations dumb enough to draft QB's that high in the 2013 draft were Bills and Jets. Jets GM just got fired today. Without a viable QB, is 9-7 that much different than 4-12 when assessing the future?
