  1. Can the Bills decline Taylor's option and then use the franchise tag on him? I was assuming that wasn't available to use but technically I guess he's a free agent if Bills decline the option. At the very least, it buys the Bills insurance until the draft.
  2. Bills could keep him this year for $21.5m if they used the franchise tag. That's a much better choice than having to commit $27m this year and another $3m in 2018. Bills could've even pulled the tag if they get the QB they want at #10. Failing to see how Taylor's contract not a huge blunder by the Bills.
  3. He's also eligible to go back to school when team he doesn't want to play for has the #1 pick. There's way too many variables not the least of which is that jury is still very much out on him being a can't miss guy to be tanking a season on.
  4. Overdorf or whoever was the brains behind Taylor's contract needs to be fired yesterday. The Bills would be in a much better position if they did nothing and let Taylor play out his original contract. They would've saved at least $6m in 2016, and this year they could franchise him for $21.5m instead of having to exercise a $27.5m option and still hold all the cards. That's a $12m mistake.
  5. The sack of Ryan and fumble recovery was arguably the play that changed the game in New England's favor. New England has always had productive edge rushers under belichik. Pittsburgh has had game changing edge rushers for as long as I can remember...Kevin Greene, joey porter, James Harrison. Green Bay has Clay Matthews.
  6. Such an in-demand QB will surely net the Bills some nice draft picks. Taylors agent doing a nice job of stirring things up. Time for Whaley to leak that Taylor is available for trade. Bidding starts at a 1st and a 4th.
  7. Call Taylor's bluff. Offer him 2 years $25m. Makes no sense for other teams to be leaking their interest in him other than his agent suckering Bills into exercising option. Nobody's giving him more money than that. Osweilers contract already a punchline in NFL circles, teams aren't making that mistake on Taylor. If he wants to play somewhere else for the same money, roll the dice on another bridge QB.
  8. They weren't running it well at the end of game and Coleman left game with injury. They weren't gonna win that game running the ball and hoping time ran out. MVP of league played like garbage in crunch time. That's why they lost.
  9. I got no problem with atlantas play calling. You start running the ball all the time and milking clock, you get same outcome. Gotta play for 60 minutes and trust your players. MVP of league came up epically small.
  10. Contrast of Brady vs Ryan in that 4th quarter couldn't have been more stark. Ryan was as small as Brady was large.
  11. Good job Beasley. Way to make a play. Bum.
  12. Blatant clip not called on new england
  13. Am actually rooting for New England now.
  14. Atlanta needs to run 3 times and get to OT.
  15. Atlanta doesn't deserve to win at this point. Gotta finish games especially Super Bowl.
  16. Excellent post. QB's probably need to be ranked differently than everyone else. The reward is far greater than any other position.
  17. You're gonna have to pay garoppolo a lot more than you are a 1st round QB. If they're against taking a QB at 1, they'd be better off packaging 12 and one of their 2nds to go in front of us for Watson or Trubisky.
  18. There's no way I'm trading a guy who I think can be a good starting QB for a 2nd round pick when I have a 40 year old QB. I don't care how well Brady takes care of himself.
  19. Anybody the Pats have traded or let walk amount to anything the past 15 years? Maybe vinatieri?
  20. No way I'm trading for garropolo. Patriots aren't trading him away with a 40 year old Brady in front of him unless they think Garroppolo isnt that good.
  21. I assume most QB's with 1st round grades either go 1 or 2 or right after the couple can't miss non-QB prospects. Curious where you had EJ graded out at?
  22. I think Watson could be as good as Taylor immediately. Use the almost $20m per year on that tradeoff and sign a starting caliber RT and a legit #2 WR.
  23. Wasn't Gronk in that 2007 recruiting class? Don't think I saw him. Kind of ridiculous a guy with his measurables wasn't top 100.
  24. Pretty sure we cut or couldn't get Fitz to restructure because Buddy Nix was too stupid to know he was telling a prank caller that Fitz was only gonna be competing for a backup role.
