Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)
BuffaloRebound replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. Cleveland still has more draft picks than a 1-31 team can absorb. They need veterans who know how to win more than they need a bunch of talented rookies who get swallowed up by the losing culture. Tyrod was a good start for them. If I’m Cleveland, I take a QB at 1 who sits for a year, then trade pick 4 to the Bills for a 1st rounder next year and Shady. Tyrod, Shady and a decent defense can get 8 wins and get them on road to respectability. -
Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)

If Bills trade up to 5 with Denver before next Thursday, they basically insure themselves one of the top 3 QB’s. It eliminates Denver from the QB trade-up market, and it effectively freezes the Giants at 2 and Cleveland at 4. -

If Lorax is gonna play more end, we still have too many defensive ends. -
LaConjecture Says Six QBs in the 1st Round

Pretty sure Warren Moon threw with his index finger on nose of ball also. He threw perfect spirals and was probably best pure passer of his generation after Marino. -

2, 12, 22, and 65 gets you close to 1 and 4 on the trade chart. Next years 1st is enough for Giants to go from 2 to 4. Giants would do that in a heartbeat. Not sure why Cleveland would do that deal other than not wanting Chubb at 4 though. If I’m Cleveland, I’m asking for McCoy. They have enough draft picks already. -
Broncos Release CJ Anderson

Timing of this is strange. Barkley isn’t getting past Cleveland at 4. Guice and Michel could both be gone at Denver’s 2nd round pick at 40. They’re clearly trying to win now with Keenum signing. Maybe they think they’ll have more picks between 5 and 40. -
Giants View Barkley as Near Perfect Prospect
BuffaloRebound replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone just assumes the Giants can trade out of 2 and get a bounty of picks because of the Bills. Beane isnt going up to 2 unless his preferred QB is there. Giants are letting Cleveland know they aren’t getting Barkley at 4. Darnold is probably the only QB that teams will give up a bounty to the giants for. This signals to me that the Giants want to trade out of 2, but it takes 2 to tango and their potential trade partners want Darnold. -
Watson was a better prospect than Mayfield. Allen is a better prospect than Mahomes or Trubisky. Darnold and Rosen probably better prospects than all of them. I’d rank them Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes, Mayfield.

Baker Mayfield in big game Vs Ohio State
BuffaloRebound replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Mayfield, but it’s hard to disagree with any of this. In the Ohio State tape, there really wasn’t much resembling a traditional dropback NFL offense. Maybe that’s where the NFL is heading, but I’d trade pick 22 for Foles before I’d trade up for Mayfield. Would have to build a similar offense around them, but one guy has won a Super Bowl. -
Baker Mayfield in big game Vs Ohio State
BuffaloRebound replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayfield had a great game, but most of those throws were quick hitters over the middle of the field or roll-outs. Didn’t see many sideline passes from the pocket. He doesn’t have Russell Wilson’s arm. Watson was a better prospect coming out of college. -
It is completely reasonable when that job requires risking your physical and potentially mental health every time you step on the field and when his first contract will probably guarantee him $20m. Unless he wins multiple Super Bowls early in his career, I’d put the over/under on the years Rosen plays before he retires at 6 years. He seems like a guy I’d love to have a beer with, but what’s his motivation to keep playing after his 1st, 2nd, 3rd concussion?
-
I don’t think you can trade up for a guy like this. I’ll give him credit for honesty, but how can you trust this guy to battle through growing pains if he struggles or stay grounded if he takes NFL by storm. I’d take him at 12 or if it only costs a 3rd to move up a couple spots. He did nothing but add fuel to the fire in that interview that football isn’t that high on the priority list but rather a platform for his other interests. Brady might be a pretty boy, but there’s no doubting first and foremost the guy loves football and winning.

Richie Incognito Retires Via Twitter - Now Confirmed
BuffaloRebound replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, we got 3 good years out him before he went crazy. That’s 3 more than I thought we’d get. -
It makes sense for everyone except maybe the Jets and Bills to be talking up these QB’s. Giants, Browns at 4, Denver, and Colts all want to see Barkley, Chubb, and Nelson fall to them. Once those 3 are gone, the price tag to move up falls significantly. And 2 of Rosen, Mayfield, and Allen could still be available.

How do you know the Giants didn't tell the Bills not to blow all their draft capital getting to 3? If Darnold goes 1, maybe the Giants would rather have 12 plus 22 and a first next year than 3 and a couple 3rd's. If I'm the Giants and I'm not taking a QB, I want a 1 next year more than I want the 3rd pick.

Article: One Team's Draft Board
BuffaloRebound replied to N.Y. Orangeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's believable but I'm sure there's an agenda to it. -
I think 12 is too high for Jackson, but I guess you have to over-draft QB's. 12 is a good spot to take Allen, but if 4 QB's go before 12 a Blue chip player like Derwin James or Roquan Smith will be there. I'd take Allen at 12 first, then if all 4 top QB's are gone, I'm taking one of blue chip position players that fall.

Browns Sign QB Drew Stanton to a 2-Year Deal
BuffaloRebound replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This means nothing. Tyrod is on a 1 year deal. Any QB they take at 1 is sitting the first 10 games at least. Stanton will be Tyrod's backup this year and Darnold's backup next year. -
My Latest Mock Draft with Bills Picks
BuffaloRebound replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm leaning more and more to keeping the picks. We can get 4-5 quality starters and get a QB like Jackson or Rudolph whose chance of succeeding is not that different than the top 4. The Browns and Jets are the only sure bets to take a QB in front of us. If Denver passes on QB at 5 which I think is probable, I think Rosen or Allen make it to 12 anyway.
