His ceiling looked plenty high in the championship game. He was dominant. One thing I love about him is his upper body torque. He engages the blocker but has so much upper body flexibility that he gets around them easily. I think he could be a dominant interior pass rusher. I know he plays a different position, but dare I say he’s ‘Bruce-like’ in his ability to engage and use his upper body flexibility to get around blockers.

Probably means he wouldn’t have passed a physical.

I think Hughes signs an extension in the next 24 hours. Does that count?

Hughes always seems to get his hands on the QB, but doesn’t seem to be able to hold on to him. Maybe he lacks thumbs? Or needs to use stickum.

I’ll say this about Beane. Dude must never sleep. Seems like he’s in on every every player who’s available or might be available. In addition to not being out-worked by anyone, he also seems to have great relationships with other GM’s and player agents. Beane seems like a rising star but it’s all gonna come down to Josh Allen for him.

Is Clowney really that good or still living off his reputation like Sammy Watkins?

Kind of strange there has been no news about Williams in regards to Bills or any other teams.

They have almost the exact same needs as the Bills and by all accounts overpaid for 2 non-rush LB’s who they gave mega-deals to. And they have been linked to almost every high profile Free Agent.

Despite the inferiority complex around here, he probably never wanted to go to the Jets. They are a Redskins type outfit and NYC/NJ isn’t for everyone.

I suppose it could work out, but just seems like they don’t have a plan other than spending a lot of money. It was the same thing trading up last year when they did. They didn’t care which QB they got. They just needed to get one of the top 3 QB’s. That’s a more dangerous game with free agency because you’re just attracting guys who are 100% coming there for the money and nothing else. It’s the Redskins for the last 20 years and the Dolphins under Gase.

The guy has been a free agent for basically a year. How has he not narrowed it down past 6 teams at this point? Non-desperate teams will start walking soon.

I think Beane just likes driving the price up on the Jets.

NYC is a great city, but gotta imagine most of the big uglies would prefer a place like Buffalo.

I think the Jets are the team all agents are using as leverage. Lots of cap space and a desperate GM.

Beckham is obviously better overall, but given Allen’s skill set, Desean is as good of a deep threat as Beckham.

I’d rather have Jackson than Beckham. Cheaper, money and draft pick wise, and probably same impact next year or 2.

My money is on the Eagles with Bell. For Wentz’s sake, they need to win next year.

Every time someone is signed who a message board GM has heard of before, there will be mass panic. So just assume free agency will be a huge disappointment especially when there is an expectation the Bills will sign 2 or 3 of the top OL when 31 other teams are chasing the same guys.

Won’t surprise me if Rams re-sign him in next 12-24 hours.

I’m saying wait until free agency and the draft are over to criticize. Seems kind of premature to criticize Beane about this move because you thought of it.

Then you would’ve overpaid for him. I assume anyone who wanted him could’ve offered a 5th straight up and had him.

If we made this trade, people would be crying it means we’re desperate and Beane knows we’re gonna strike out on our Free Agent OL targets.

I think Beane/Bills gained some street cred among players going after Brown. Any backlash is being overplayed by the 24/7 talking heads on TV and social media.
