Kyler Murray reportedly leaning toward NFL draft
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in College Football
I’ve never seen Murray play baseball, but if he’s gonna go in the 1st few picks of the NFL draft it’s a no brainer to pick football from a financial perspective. -
The Quarterback Shuffle 2019
BuffaloRebound replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jags have to go after Foles. Bringing back Mr Personality as head coach means they have to win next year or he’s gone. Would be extremely stupid to keep Maroone and draft a QB at pick #7. But not sure why Foles would wanna go there. Bad vibe and their coach is a dead man walking. -
The Quarterback Shuffle 2019

Foles will be in high demand. The rest of the available QB’s are consolation prizes if you don’t get Foles or Haskins or one of the other 1st round QB’s. Cousins and Keenum are cautionary tales about over-paying for average QB play. -
Sunday NFC Wild Card: Eagles at Bears 4:40 NBC

The first kick barely made it over the cross bar from 40 yards. You knew he was gonna try to put more on it and pull it. -

The Bears mascot reaction behind the goalposts when the kicked bounced out was absolutely classic. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
BuffaloRebound replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give me Zach Allen from BC. Dude reminds me of JJ Watt when he came out of Wisconsin. -
Lorax - should he be extended?
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell yes. $3m base with incentives that get him closer to $6m if he produces another year like this past one. -
Are the Bills satisfied with their current RB's ??
BuffaloRebound replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There’s no way McCoy is getting paid $6m next year by the Bills or anybody else. He’ll be lucky to get $3m from somebody. My guess is Bills cut him after he refuses pay cut, and he either retires when nobody pays him or goes to a contender to chase a ring. Ivory’s got a slightly better chance of coming back at $2.25m. That’s still way too much for his production but if Bills draft a RB in first 3 rounds instead of signing a vet like Coleman, maybe they bring Ivory back as a veteran presence. No way both McCoy and Ivory are back next year. My guess is Ivory and a trade up into the back half of the 2nd round for a RB. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th

Jackson is a proven commodity who still averaged 19 yards per catch this year . Foster has only put up those kind of numbers for 7 games. The diva part is a concern for Jackson but the guy is rarely hurt and always produces. And having 2 deep threats on the field plays to Allen’s strengths anyway. Jackson doesn’t need a QB with pinpoint accuracy to produce. -

I’d also consider giving a 3rd or 4th rounder for desean Jackson. Guy is still one of the best deep threats in the game. Allen to Jackson could be a deadly combo. Maybe he’d be amenable to playing with his buddy Shady. Trade for Desean or A.J. and take a chance on a guy like Tyler Eifert at TE. We have enough young WR’s and TE’s with promise. I’d draft OL, a RB, and defense. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
BuffaloRebound replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
#9 could be a good trade down spot as Denver will no doubt be looking for a QB at #10, probably Cincy at #11 too. Giants and Jacksonville seem like they’re not in rebuild mode. Giants might go QB at #6, but Jacksonville will probably go after Foles or another veteran if they’re keeping Mr Personality as head coach. How about pick #9 and a 4th rounder for A.J. Green and pick #11? -
So theoretically I can set up video cameras all over the place for the ‘public good’ and when the police decide not to file charges, I can then sell the videos to TMZ or blackmail the people in the video. Seems like privacy laws would prevent this kind of thing. It’s different if it’s just some random person’s cell phone cam. If the reason hotels have video cams everywhere is for the public good, using them to destroy a man’s livelihood after police decide not to file charges seems like Hunt would have a good case to sue the hotel.
-
Hunt deserves to be cut, but it’s interesting that the police, the only ones supposed to have access to the video, decided not to charge Hunt. Doesn’t Hunt and the NFL have grounds to sue the crap out of the hotel for leaking the video or do you basically allow the hotel to videotape your every move when you choose to stay there?

2019 Mock Drafts and top prospects
BuffaloRebound replied to thunderingsquid's topic in College Football
Really liking the play of this Zack Allen kid on BC. Not sure how high he’s projected to go, but seems like the type who gets drafted late in the 1st round but ends up out-playing the higher ranked guys in the NFL. -
Exactly. If you take the least ready to play of the top tier QB’s, you gotta have a better plan at QB than McCarron and Peterman. Free Agents aren’t stupid. Going after a backup like McCarron in free agency instead of Keenum or even McCown or even keeping Tyrod tipped Bills hand to free agents they planned on starting the rookie QB early. Cleveland and the Jets drafted the more ready to play QB’s yet still had the better plan at QB behind them. IMO McBeane got overconfident with their tanking strategy turning into a playoff birth last year. So they traded Tyrod and signed McCarron on the cheap to go with Peterman. Can’t do that with the QB position and now we have the worst offense NFL has seen in at least a decade.

Positives to look for in 2nd half of season
BuffaloRebound replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s hard to look for positives when the guys who keep trotting Peterman out there are still running the show. If I’m Pegula, that is an absolute dealbreaker for me that these guys have any clue on that side of the ball.
