Hypothetical : Trade down in 1st with Raiders?
BuffaloRebound replied to bigfootindy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would not be surprised if Gruden makes a play for Murray or Haskins. Haskins at 4 at best pass rusher at 9. Or if Haskins goes before 4, best pass rusher at 4 and Murray at 9. Gruden is basically the owner of the Raiders and can do whatever he wants. And the fan base doesn’t matter because they don’t even have a home. -
Gerald McCoy: Cap casualty
BuffaloRebound replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With Milano and Edmunds, we’re not gonna have to pay the LB’s for a couple years. The DB’s are relatively set for the next couple of years too. Getting MCCoy would free up Beane to take offensive player at #9. -
Gerald McCoy: Cap casualty

Highly doubt TB would cut him unless he has little left. If he’s still a good player, that contract isn’t bad. Teams would trade for him. -
Would Cordy Glenn be an option in FA?
BuffaloRebound replied to STL-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He already got his big contract. Most guys in his shoes lose the motivation and never re-gain their prior form post injuries and after having enough money for them and their kids to not work a day in their lives. -
The difference is that big money is 6-7 years off for Murray in baseball and far from a guaranteed thing. If he is gonna get drafted in the first few picks in NFL draft, football is a no brainer from a financial perspective. He’d be choosing $4.6m guaranteed in baseball versus $20+million guaranteed in football and as a QB, his earning power is just as great in football as baseball long term.

Kyler Murray reportedly leaning toward NFL draft

I’ve never seen Murray play baseball, but if he’s gonna go in the 1st few picks of the NFL draft it’s a no brainer to pick football from a financial perspective. -
The Quarterback Shuffle 2019
BuffaloRebound replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jags have to go after Foles. Bringing back Mr Personality as head coach means they have to win next year or he’s gone. Would be extremely stupid to keep Maroone and draft a QB at pick #7. But not sure why Foles would wanna go there. Bad vibe and their coach is a dead man walking. -

Foles will be in high demand. The rest of the available QB’s are consolation prizes if you don’t get Foles or Haskins or one of the other 1st round QB’s. Cousins and Keenum are cautionary tales about over-paying for average QB play. -

The first kick barely made it over the cross bar from 40 yards. You knew he was gonna try to put more on it and pull it. -

Give me Zach Allen from BC. Dude reminds me of JJ Watt when he came out of Wisconsin. -
Lorax - should he be extended?
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell yes. $3m base with incentives that get him closer to $6m if he produces another year like this past one. -
Are the Bills satisfied with their current RB's ??
BuffaloRebound replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There’s no way McCoy is getting paid $6m next year by the Bills or anybody else. He’ll be lucky to get $3m from somebody. My guess is Bills cut him after he refuses pay cut, and he either retires when nobody pays him or goes to a contender to chase a ring. Ivory’s got a slightly better chance of coming back at $2.25m. That’s still way too much for his production but if Bills draft a RB in first 3 rounds instead of signing a vet like Coleman, maybe they bring Ivory back as a veteran presence. No way both McCoy and Ivory are back next year. My guess is Ivory and a trade up into the back half of the 2nd round for a RB. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th

Jackson is a proven commodity who still averaged 19 yards per catch this year . Foster has only put up those kind of numbers for 7 games. The diva part is a concern for Jackson but the guy is rarely hurt and always produces. And having 2 deep threats on the field plays to Allen’s strengths anyway. Jackson doesn’t need a QB with pinpoint accuracy to produce. -

I’d also consider giving a 3rd or 4th rounder for desean Jackson. Guy is still one of the best deep threats in the game. Allen to Jackson could be a deadly combo. Maybe he’d be amenable to playing with his buddy Shady. Trade for Desean or A.J. and take a chance on a guy like Tyler Eifert at TE. We have enough young WR’s and TE’s with promise. I’d draft OL, a RB, and defense. -

#9 could be a good trade down spot as Denver will no doubt be looking for a QB at #10, probably Cincy at #11 too. Giants and Jacksonville seem like they’re not in rebuild mode. Giants might go QB at #6, but Jacksonville will probably go after Foles or another veteran if they’re keeping Mr Personality as head coach. How about pick #9 and a 4th rounder for A.J. Green and pick #11?
