How can we not be all in on Metcalf now?
BuffaloRebound replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I predict Gruden either takes Metcalf at pick 4 or trades up to get him with picks 24 and 27. He can’t help himself when it comes to a toy like this. -
Bills re-sign Jordan Phillips

When you’re $80m under the cap, the Bills can afford to hand out a lot of these type of 1 year deals where they over-pay for 1 year to fill holes until draft picks/young guys are ready to play. -
Becoming pretty obvious Arizona is taking Murray #1. Guess he hurt a couple loser GM’s feeling during interviews, but if I know I’m going #1, not sure why I’d give any info to guys who are gonna be trying to beat me for the next 15 years. So I guess it’s fair game for GM’s to whine to Casserly about an interview with a prospect, but when a prospect like Polite talks about being criticized in interviews it’s a no-no.

Rams' C John Sullivan to hit open market

Probably means they value Saffold higher and are trying to find ways to keep Saffold. -

I don’t think he signs before free agency without $4-5m. -
No one way to build a winner. If Bills view Barr as a difference maker at LB and as an edge rusher and you can get a top 5 DL talent at pick 9, that’s better than throwing huge money at mediocre OL in free agency and reaching for offensive talent in the draft. They can still get a good WR/TE in round 2 and a good interior OL in Round 3.

We sign Barr and draft Wilkins, Gary, or Oliver at 9, this defense could be sick.

I think it’s gonna be hard to pass on a DL at pick 9. You’re basically getting a top 5 talent at DL in this draft at 9. If Murray, Haskins, and Devin White go before us as predicted, one of Bosa, Q Williams, Allen, Gary, Oliver, and Wilkins will be there. Those guys are top 5 picks in almost any other year. -
My best guess is a 3rd this year and a 3rd next year that could become a 1st.

Burns is another guy you could basically line up all over. Such a fluid athlete.
-
Gary is an impressive looking athlete. Sweat getting the headlines with his 40 time, but Gary more impressive to me. Unless he is a major character concern, I’d be surprised if Gary lasts to pick 9.

Hard to take a guy top 10 especially a TE who’s not a physical freak like Gronk.
-
Can’t see Bills taking an OL at #9. Jonah Williams the only guy I could’ve seen them taking, but he doesn’t have elite physical traits. If they trust Metcalf’s mental makeup, I think #9 comes down to him or one of the DL’s.

Paradis may return to Broncos on 1 yr deal
BuffaloRebound replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He just finished his rookie deal and he was drafted in the 6th round. $5m career earnings. Unless he’s heir to a fortune, he isn’t turning down more guaranteed money for a 1 year deal. Saffold on the other hand, that guy’s already made $35m. I can’t see Saffold coming to Buffalo unless we over-pay him in a crazy way. -
Guy sounds like a nut job.

After those measurements, GM’s who need QB’s will be afraid not to take Murray.

Darryl Williams RT from Carolina is the most interesting of the bunch. Beane was in Carolina when they drafted him and during his first 2 years. He’s a 26 year old All Pro coming off an injury. It’s understandable if Carolina doesn’t want to give him a big contract, but Bills have the cap space to gamble on a guy like this.
