This is why the Bills gotta consider going after Chris Jones. Gotta make Chiefs weaker to beat them. And if nothing else you make him more expensive for Chiefs to sign. Jones ain’t going to a non-contender. He’ll never get his due in KC. It’s all Mahomes Kelce and the coaching. He comes to Buffalo and we win super bowl, he’ll be in reggie White territory.

I’d rather spend money on a shaky kicker, scrub special teams only guys and undersized aging defenders who get pushed around come January.

Honestly if we could sign Mike Evans, I’d cut Diggs. Designate him as a post June 1 cut. Draft a WR in first 2 rounds and roll with Evans, Shakir, and rookie as your top 3. Evans would be an upgrade to Diggs on the field and would come with a lot less drama.

I’d do that trade in a heartbeat, but not sure Carolina is desperate enough for a WR to trade Burns straight up for Diggs. Seems like wishful thinking.

Yep. Maybe Carolina is desperate enough to salvage Bryce Young. They’re not getting any decent free agent to go there without over/bidding everybody by 50% and they don’t have a 1st round pick. Maybe you’d get a 3rd rounder from them or a 2nd round trade up. Can’t see anybody else desperate enough.

I don’t have a problem with Diggs, but I think it’s time for both sides to move on.

I think mcdermott showed the last 2 months he’s capable of evolving. But let’s see what he does this off-season. The Epenesa’s and light in the ass Defensive Ends are useless come playoff football. Hyde’s replacement needs to be a physical safety. I’d like to see a 1 tech upgrade to a guy like Reader. I like Douglas, Benford, Taron, and Poyer. Bernard and Milano are playmakers but undersized. Oliver is good but undersized too. All the defensive additions the off-season need to be stout, violent dudes. The defense needs to get bigger and more physical.

I’d sign a guy like Mike Williams to a 1 year deal and draft a WR in the early rounds.

We need a more violent downhill defense. Those are the defenses that perform in the playoffs. Players are banged up and the film is out there after 18 or 19 games. Undersized defenses that rely on confusing guys like Mahomes or even Burrow don’t hold up.

McDuffie is a fantastic Corner. Chiefs leap-frogging us and then Bills ending up with Elam really unfortunate. At least McBeane knocked it out of the park with the remaining picks.

Occam’s Razor. Everybody’s trying to win. Diggs putting up big numbers at beginning of season wasn’t accomplishing that. We won more games spreading it around and running it more. Im sure Diggs wasn’t thrilled being less of a focal point but the Bills were winning and salvaging the season. Diggs isn’t as good when he’s not used as much and 30 year old WR’s do tend to drop off.

I actually think this could be true and will not make light of it. He displays a lot of behavior that points to that.

I’m not restructuring Diggs. I’m fine with him staying but if there’s a peep from him or any of his people this off-season or if he misses any voluntary workouts for anything other than a birth of a child or family emergency, I want him gone. I’m bringing Poyer back. He’s not that expensive and showed he’s got something left. Knox takes a pay cut or is gone. That contract was horrible the minute he signed it and has gotten worse. He’d be lucky to get $5m per year right now if released and with Kincaid he’s probably worth less than $5m per year to the Bills. No way I’m releasing Morse or Bates. Keep the O Line intact. And I’m not restructuring Milano. He’s 30 years old coming off a 2nd major injury. And I’m not paying Von a penny more than his guarantees that have already kicked in. If he doesn’t take a $6m paycut on the money that becomes guaranteed this March, I cut him and split the dead cap over next 2 years.

With Taron at 190lbs on the field for almost 100% of the defensive snaps next to 2 linebackers who are on the smaller side, we need more size at safety to replace Micah. I’d bring Rapp back who was greatly improved by end of season and I’d also sign a guy like Jeremy Chinn who’s a bigger safety. Then I’d bring in an upper tier 1 tech like DJ Reader. Joseph was good for a couple weeks but had no tread left on the tires. I’m also tired of light in the ass Defensive Ends. They wear down by the end of the year.
