  1. You can’t let things go this far with your star QB. Gotta keep them happy. Doesn’t seem like Seattle has tried very hard. Wilson is extremely underpaid and they haven’t exactly surrounded him with offensive weapons.
  2. Well, it’s looking likely he won’t go top 3. And who knows what the Raiders are gonna do. So there could be decent chance he’s there at 5.
  3. Didnt they just take a DT last year high in the 1st?
  4. Would you give up pick 9 and pick 40 for him? Tampa would probably trade down from 5 if Williams falls to them. Tampa could probably still get Devin White at 9 and their GM likes to trade down.
  5. I think it just means that other teams know that Arizona has zero leverage. Teams know Arizona has to trade him and Rosen didn’t exactly light it up in his first year despite the circumstances. And the draft is 2 weeks away with potentially 4 first round QB’s. Might as well wait to see if your guy falls to you in the draft, and once Arizona takes Murray, Rosen’s trade value drops further. Could prevent teams from trading up for a QB as Rosen is the consolation prize if your guy doesn’t fall to you.
  6. Hard to see a scenario where one of Bosa, Q Williams, Josh Allen, or Oliver makes it to pick 9. Even if Devin White and 2 QB’s go before us and Jax takes an O Lineman, Detroit probably takes whoever drops. Probably need 3 QB’s to go before us to land one of the 4 premier DL.
  7. How would you like be in the Giants position? They clearly need a QB and passed on a bunch last year, and the BPA at 6 will probably be a DL or LB.
  8. Not seeing how Williams is gonna be some dominant guard at 6’4” 301 pounds. Nelson was 325 at the combine and put up 35 bench reps compared to Williams’ 23. If he can’t play LT, not sure he projects anywhere else at that size.
  9. He kind of looked like an Average Joe in size/physique compared to the other O Linemen at the combine. I don’t expect him to be ripped but I did expect him to be bigger. Doesn’t mean he can’t be good, but he doesn’t really pass the eye test from a standpoint of a guy who looks like he’s gonna dominate NFL D Linemen. But maybe he’s a reverse ‘Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane”
  10. Swap 1sts with Seattle for Frank Clark. At 21, take Christian Wilkins. Trade up from 40 and take Metcalf or Fant at end of 1st.
  11. Definitely seems like this could become a game of chicken between Beane and Gettleman. Quinnen Williams and Oliver are both top 5 talents. Good chance 1 of them is available at pick 6. Gettleman trying his hardest to convince everyone he’s not taking a QB at pick 6. Jags aren’t taking a DL at 7. Beane might think Williams or Oliver fall to 9 if they get past the Raiders.
  12. Can’t see them franchise tagging a 32 year old edge rusher at $20m per year. I think they extend him at $12-15m per year for the next 2 years. Even that is questionable for an edge rusher on wrong side of 30.
  13. Yes. 9 for 21 and Clark. We have the cap space the next 3 years, and 21 is a better spot for WR/TE.
  14. And Bobby Wagner who’s the Russell Wilson of their defense. Makes so much sense for Seahawks to swap Clark for an edge rusher on a rookie deal.
  15. Beane and co. seem to be everywhere and involved in everything. If nothing else, these guys are the hardest working front office in football.
  16. Could probably do an Edmunds trade up for Hockenson or Metcalf. One of them will probably still be available around pick 16 or 17.
  17. Allen is gonna be on his rookie deal for at most another 2-3 years. That’s the window where you can go out and pay for established talent. Makes way more sense to go after an established pass rusher like Clark and Clowney than draft a Sweat, Burns or even an Oliver at 9. Ford set the market at a 2nd round pick for a pass rusher on the franchise tag. That equals a trade down from 9 to 21 or 23.
  18. Not a surprise that one of the greatest QB’s of all-time is an a-hole. Most of the greats in any profession are.
  19. Not sure how a 6-10 team can have too many draft picks. There’s at least 7 roster spots open on the 53 man roster... a RB, a TE, a WR, an OT, a DL, at least 1 LB, and a DB. Not to mention most of the free agents signed this year are on 1 year deals. 6th and 7th round picks are more for the practice squad, so I’m not seeing too many picks.
  20. I still think Bills are trading down from pick 9 with Seattle or Houston for Clark or Clowney. Then they go BPA at 21 or 23 which will most likely be a TE/WR.
  21. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000928661/article/jeremiah-mock-draft-40-browns-pick-baker-mayfield-no-1?akmobile=ios&akcarrier=verizon jeremiah was pretty accurate at the top of the round too.
