  1. I think a motivated contract-year Lawson is worth taking a shot on. Unless I’m mistaken, the 5th year option is only guaranteed for injury. Bills have the cap space to eat $10m next year if Lawson sustains an injury. And Bills still control him another year if he has a break out year. So I’d extend Hughes and exercise Lawson’s option. Ansah would be a Murphy replacement.
  2. Well, something has to happen in regards to defensive end. They have to decide about Lawson’s 5th year option by Friday. Hughes is on last year of deal. Ansah is still out there. Clowney ship has probably sailed. If Houston was gonna trade him, it would’ve happened before the draft.
  3. That’s nuts that he was flying to California from Delaware as 10 year old for QB coaching. Crazy f’ing parents.
  4. I assume he’ll get 65-70% of the snaps like Kyle had last year. That’s what Geno Atkins, a comp to Oliver, had also.
  5. Will be interesting to see if Bills go after Ansah now that we didn’t take a pass rusher at the top of the draft. Something gonna have to shake out with Hughes and Lawson relatively soon also.
  6. Because 30+ year old RB’s don’t hold up well. Kind of ridiculous we are paying McCoy $6m this season. Beane must be worried about the locker room impact of letting McCoy go.
  7. Expecting a Tackle or DB at pick 40. That’s where the value is.
  8. 16 about right for Burns. Could be one of the top players out of this draft when it’s all said and done, but weight/strength is an issue.
  9. If Lions take Oliver, gotta imagine we trade down
  10. Allen, Oliver, Sweat, or trade down with someone who wants Haskins
  11. There’s no way Jets trade 3 to us. Probably trying to shake somebody else down since they’re desperate to trade out of 3, but not that desperate to trade with us
  12. Giants doing their best to make sure nobody trades in front of them for Haskins.
  13. If Sweat’s heart problem is now cleared, I think Bills would be happy to take him at 9 if he lasts that long. Oliver, Sweat or the top OT at pick 9 unless somebody pays up for pick 9.
  14. He’s a risky pick in the top 15. He could turn out to be one of the best players in the draft, but he could just as easily be swallowed up by NFL tackles if he’s not committed to getting stronger and keeping on weight.
  15. Anywhere between 6-10 and 10-6 is realistic. So I’ll say 8-8.
  16. Borderline criminal that Maccagnan and his goatee still have a job. 99.9% of GM’s don’t survive Todd Bowles and Christian Hackenburg.
  17. I’m fully expecting the pick to be Rashan Gary for the simple reason that like Josh Allen last year so many people on here are against it.
  18. If Ansah’s shoulder checks out, he’s probably way lower risk than Clark or Clowney. Not as much upside, but no draft compensation and nothing contract wise that will approach clowney or Clark.
  19. This is the time of year where teams bring in vets for visits and tell them if the draft falls a certain way, we’ll sign you immediately after.
  20. Seattle doesn’t have all that much leverage. They still have to pay Bobby Wagner and they are right at the cap after signing Wilson. Clark can force his way out if he plays hardball. A 2nd probably gets it done. Throw in Lawson if you have to. Clark, Star, Q Williams/Oliver, and Hughes is a hell of a front 4. For those clamoring for offensive weapons with 1st or 2nd round pick, how likely is it Allen is gonna be able to mesh with Beasley, Brown, and Kroft plus a highly drafted WR or TE in Year 1?
  21. A lot of these questions will be answered over the next 9 days. Will Hughes be extended? Will Lawson’s 5th year option be picked up? Will they trade for Clark or Clowney? Would Hughes or Lawson be included in any trade? Will they take DL in Round 1? What about Ansah? Lots of dominoes lined up and ready to fall.
  22. Yeah, I’d think Wilson contract extension means Clark is gonna be traded.
  23. This. Brady is a different QB when he gets knocked down a couple times. He is not effected at all if he has to step up in the pocket. And since he’s made a deal with the devil, I fully expect him to keep playing until he’s 45.
  24. You can’t let things go this far with your star QB. Gotta keep them happy. Doesn’t seem like Seattle has tried very hard. Wilson is extremely underpaid and they haven’t exactly surrounded him with offensive weapons.
  25. Well, it’s looking likely he won’t go top 3. And who knows what the Raiders are gonna do. So there could be decent chance he’s there at 5.
