  1. $15m is definitely steep for Phillips, but it’s not my money and there’s no way we won’t be well under the cap. If he and Shaq truly want to stay, I’d do what I could to keep them. I’d rather over-pay my own guys than free agents. But it’s not smart to let good players go with no guarantees you’ll be able to replace them in free agency especially considering our current cap situation.
  2. Probably a ploy to get someone to trade ahead of them so they can land Chase Young. Also gives something for all the talking heads to talk about in a slow sports news time.
  3. If everyone is gonna tag these D linemen, why would we let him walk for nothing? For that matter, why let him walk at all?
  4. Hopefully this doesn’t cause him to start a fight with a funeral director and throw weights at people at his local gym.
  5. He’s going back to New England. This is an attention seeking circle jerk.
  6. Not saying it’s gonna happen, but all of us who’ve been Bills fans the past 25 years know a franchise that’s a mess when we see one. Trading Bosa is like us trading Peters or raiders trading Mack. Takes a special kind of dysfunction and that’s what I see out of the Chargers.
  7. What’s fair for an elite 25 year old pass rusher? Something slightly less than what raiders got for Mack... 1st and 5th this year. Swap 2nd rounders with them this year. 3rd next year that can escalate to a 2nd.
  8. Gonna take more than their 2nd rounder to go from 6 to 3 and leapfrog Dolphins. I’m sure Bills would be happy to take Bosa off their hands and give Chargers the draft capital they need to get Tua.
  9. Must be rolling with Tyrod and 1st round pick.
  10. I’d make a run at Robby Anderson. He has big play ability and think his production was hampered by the Jets QB situation. I also like that he’s not a primadonna. Maybe he is too similar to Brown and will cost too much, but I’d be in on that.
  11. I think it’s more about bad blood between chargers and Bosa. I can’t see him not holding out without a long term deal. Chargers can get value for him now or have him sit out until week 10 and see him walk next year for nothing. I guess they could do this dance again next year with the franchise tag, but why not take the draft picks now.
  12. The high motor lunch pail team.
  13. I like Burrow but I don’t think he’s good enough to pass up 3 first rounders and still be able to land Tua or Herbert. At this time last year, most people were laughing at the thought of Kyler Murray going number 1.
  14. True but Bosa is elite and a process guy. We’re gonna have to overpay for one of the free agent edge rushers who’s not as good as Bosa. He’s good enough and young enough to consider it.
  15. Joey Bosa most likely sits out without a new deal. I don’t he’d cost what Mack did, but I’d pursue it if I were Beane.
  16. Goff is a poor man’s Garoppolo, and Garoppolo just showed he’s never winning a Super Bowl no matter how good his supporting cast is. Rams keep chasing high priced non-QB pieces to compensate for their $30m per year QB.
  17. You gotta love his candidness. Basically telling Poyer that we want you back but that Houston tape don’t lie.
  18. If the Rams are the ones throwing in a draft pick, I’d take a chance on Gurley. We have the money to spend, and can walk away next year with no cap hit. The guy is only 25. Unless his knee is completely shot, it’s a risk I’d consider.
  19. Doubt you could get Campbell for a 6th. Any team with the cap room will want him.
  20. Not sure why Jags would let him walk and get nothing in return. If he’s that good, somebody will trade a 2nd rounder for him like Clark and Ford last year.
  21. Fair enough but you’re gonna have to pay more in guarantees to at least Gordon and will definitely have to commit longer term to both of them. A 3rd is probably too much for Gurley with that contract and his knee, but the Bills will not be able to spend $90m in cap space this year and whatever free agent RB they sign the Bills will not be able to walk away after 1 year like they could with Gurley.
  22. He’s still only 25 and 2 years removed from being NFL offensive MVP. 2 years $22m with no money guaranteed outside this year isn’t a huge risk especially to a team like the Bills who have tons of cap space this year. His knee and contract are the reason they won’t get anything more than a 3rd or 4th rounder for him. But the Bills are in need of a power home run back and have the cap space.
  23. That’s if they cut him. If they trade him, they have $12m dead cap and save $5m in cap room this year.
  24. I hear ya. But he’s still only 25 and his remaining contract isn’t terrible. Basically 2 years $22m left with no guarantees.
