The fair catch, that wasn't.
BuffaloRebound replied to peterpan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The arguments if you can call them that for over-ruling the ref on the field are incredibly weak. Common sense and the player didn’t mean to do that about sums it up. -
which of these 3 cost the Bills more

It wasn’t 1v1. Edmunds had already engaged and slowed him down. -

The first 2 point conversion changed the entire game. Still being up by 2 scores with a quarter to go means your still comfortably in control. And all Poyer had to do was lower his shoulder to keep Watson out of end zone. You’d think he’d man up there after Watson dragged him 8 yards for the TD. -
What % did Josh improve from yr1 to yr2?
BuffaloRebound replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People ready to give up on him are morons. He’s right up there with Lamar, Mahomes, and Wilson as the most talented QB’s in the NFL. Improve the run game and give him some more weapons and watch him continue to blossom into a top a QB as he cuts out the stupid mistakes and learns when to take his shots. -

Its not sour grapes. It’s what the NFL has become. You can’t selectively over-rule your own rule book when the Patriots have built a 20 year dynasty exploiting every rule. Yes, the Bills still should’ve won the game but that’s a completely separate issue. -
All I know is the Bills and their fans are deserved an explanation of why the NFL overturned the proper call on the field and over-ruled their own rule book. If it takes a lawsuit for the NFL to own up, so be it. The blindside block by Ford was just as big of a call. Common sense says that wasn’t a penalty even though the ref correctly threw the flag. Everybody’s busy digesting and blaming our own team for a 2nd half meltdown, but the over-rule of a clearly correct call on the field is complete BS.

I thought the play was correctly reversed, but after watching the ESPN piece with Hasselback, he’s right. A rule is a rule. The ref on the field got it right. You can’t arbitrarily decide not to enforce a rule. The NFL is a goddamn mess. Now they change rules real-time depending on the circumstances. -
Rachel Bush, contract negotiator/agent

Yep. Not the time for him to be asking for a new contract. He was charmin soft yesterday. -
Josh needs to work on the fumbling
BuffaloRebound replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His left wrist kind of flops around when he runs. Watch his 40 from the combine. I wonder if somebody has research on how many of his fumbles are when the ball is in his left hand. -
What Changes will be made this Offseason?
BuffaloRebound replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to get more physical on defense and more explosive on offense. Defensively we have a smart disciplined unit but we saw Philly, New England, and Houston in 2nd half push us around. I’m not sure you could say we have a physical presence anywhere in the back 7. Maybe #29. That dude hits people. Everybody in the back 7 has good cover skills but we need to mix in a couple guys back there who are more physical. Offensively, we need to surround Allen with some playmakers. Brown is a nice vertical weapon and Singletary is a good rotational RB and Beasley a good slot guy, but this offense needs a huge upgrade over Gore and a physical pass catcher that can get some Yards after the catch. -
Who cost us the game today?
BuffaloRebound replied to fishgrappler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Morse. If he makes the block, Allen runs the ball into field goal range in OT. Poyer. If the guy could finish a tackle, the game is completely different at 16-6. -
Dolphins hire Chan Gailey as OC
BuffaloRebound replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, who’s a better option for them at QB next year? They’re not getting Burrow who’s probably the only guy in the draft ready to play next year. Fitz doesn’t need to play anymore. If you don’t make him happy, you have a high probability of being worse next year. It’s easy for internet GM’s to mock this decision, but I guarantee every guy in the Miami locker room except Rosen approves of bringing Fitz back. -
GM Dorsey meeting with Haslam - He's out

When you miss this spectacularly on a head coach, not sure why he should get the chance to hire another one. -
Pick 3 FA's you'd like to see targeted.
BuffaloRebound replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that it would be surprising if we don’t draft a WR in the 1st round. Add a fast RB like a Kenyan Drake in Free Agency. Brown, Beasley, 1st round WR, 2nd year Knox, healthy Kroft, Drake and Singletary... this offense can take a leap. -

I highly doubt they’re gonna pick up his 5th year option when they already voided his guarantees. -

Not a FA, but I’d trade a 4th rounder maybe even a 3rd rounder for Fournette who’s on the last year of his rookie deal. He’ll be motivated, is still young, and is only a few years removed from being a top 5 pick. -
Dolphins hire Chan Gailey as OC
BuffaloRebound replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually think this shows well on the Dolphins as an organization. They’re most likely gonna draft Tua who won’t be ready to play. Fitz brought them respectability this year. You don’t just tank and then suddenly expect young draft picks to turn an organization around. Ask Cleveland how that’s turned out. They’re clearly trying to make Fitz happy with the Gailey move and I think that is a hell of a lot smarter than starting over with a lesser placeholder than Fitzmagic. -

Gotta love it. Fitzmagic calling the shots in Miami. Makes sense though. They’re not getting Burrow and any QB they draft is most likely a year away. Without Fitzpatrick, Dolphins are back to where they were at beginning of this season. -
If Etienne is available at our 2nd round pick, I sprint to the podium. Heck, I might consider him with our 1st pick. Josh needs playmakers to take the pressure off more than anything else. We have some nice complimentary players on offense, but with the exception of Brown we have nobody else a defense has to worry about.

There’s no way Cleveland is gonna go with somebody like Daboll unless nobody with head coaching experience wants the job. Rivera would be perfect for that job because he’d put those drama queens in their place. But Rivera can probably pick what job he wants. I’d go with McCarthy next if I were the Browns.
