Joey Bosa most likely sits out without a new deal. I don’t he’d cost what Mack did, but I’d pursue it if I were Beane.

Todd Gurley trade talk from one reporter

Goff is a poor man’s Garoppolo, and Garoppolo just showed he’s never winning a Super Bowl no matter how good his supporting cast is. Rams keep chasing high priced non-QB pieces to compensate for their $30m per year QB. -
Todd Gurley trade talk from one reporter

If the Rams are the ones throwing in a draft pick, I’d take a chance on Gurley. We have the money to spend, and can walk away next year with no cap hit. The guy is only 25. Unless his knee is completely shot, it’s a risk I’d consider. -
Jags unlikely to allow Yannick Ngakoue to test FA

Doubt you could get Campbell for a 6th. Any team with the cap room will want him. -

Not sure why Jags would let him walk and get nothing in return. If he’s that good, somebody will trade a 2nd rounder for him like Clark and Ford last year. -
McShay - Bills pass on WR and take RB Swift in 1st.

Fair enough but you’re gonna have to pay more in guarantees to at least Gordon and will definitely have to commit longer term to both of them. A 3rd is probably too much for Gurley with that contract and his knee, but the Bills will not be able to spend $90m in cap space this year and whatever free agent RB they sign the Bills will not be able to walk away after 1 year like they could with Gurley. -

He’s still only 25 and 2 years removed from being NFL offensive MVP. 2 years $22m with no money guaranteed outside this year isn’t a huge risk especially to a team like the Bills who have tons of cap space this year. His knee and contract are the reason they won’t get anything more than a 3rd or 4th rounder for him. But the Bills are in need of a power home run back and have the cap space. -

That’s if they cut him. If they trade him, they have $12m dead cap and save $5m in cap room this year. -

I hear ya. But he’s still only 25 and his remaining contract isn’t terrible. Basically 2 years $22m left with no guarantees. -

Trade for Gurley? Rams supposedly looking to unload his contract. We have plenty of cap space the next year or 2. Might be able to get him for as little as a 3rd or 4th. -

I don’t understand the outrage. A dynamic stud RB would greatly help the offense. Singletary is a nice back but doesn’t exactly scare defenses. -
2020 Draft Hypothetical
BuffaloRebound replied to Vod Kanockers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. At no point watching that game last night did I think the Bills need to upgrade their LB corp significantly. What we do need is an elite edge rusher in defense, and on offense we need more physical playmakers and improved OL play. -
I actually feel better about our QB after watching that game. You need a QB who can make plays at the end of games to win the big one. Allen has his faults he needs to improve on, but I’d rather have him than Garoppolo any day of the week. 49ers have a super bowl level defense and running game but it still wasn’t enough. They needed their $30m per year QB to make a play in the 4th quarter and he couldn’t.

They were being too aggressive. Garoppolo is not good. Up 10, with him as your QB and that running game, you run the ball. His passes on that drive were batted ball, ball in dirt to wide open Kittle that Kittle makes circus catch, ball overthrown to Samuel that luckily wasn’t intercepted, then Garoppolo run out of bounds for 3 yards. Moral of the story is you can’t win a super bowl with a mediocre QB like Garoppolo in today’s NFL. San Fran has a great defense and great running game. You can only hold a great offense line KC down for so long.
