  1. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him back if Bills don’t land Reader. It only takes one, but still can’t see anyone breaking the bank.
  2. Damn. 50 votes is a crazy thin margin. Media made it seem like it was definitely gonna pass.
  3. The point is nobody is put in harms way and everything can be conducted remotely like it was for about the first 30 years in the league. Might even give people a distraction and prevent them from going out. Thanks for saving the world though. You must be fun to hang out with.
  4. Give the people what they need!!!! Seriously though, I’m not sure what prevents free agency and the draft from happening. The physicals can be done later. And flying in draft prospects is a relatively new phenomenon (15-20 years). People need something to take their minds off what’s going on and a sense of normalcy. Delaying free agency and the draft because some anal GM’s need to fly in draft prospects so they can ask them if they could be any animal what would they be would be a missed opportunity by the NFL.
  5. Josh needs a vet RB to pair with Singletary for pass protection alone. I know it was only 1 game, but Singletary almost got Josh killed a couple times in the playoff game. We don’t need to add a rookie to the RB rotation. I personally think Beane will go after one of the top RB’s in free agency.
  6. Melvin Gordon. 4 years, $28m. Josh is still on the unconventional side. Best way to improve the offense is to give him a top RB. Need to add a vet to Singletary.
  7. With the questions surrounding him and how the WR draft class is universally viewed as excellent, I can’t see Higgins going in the 1st round. Nobody is gonna reach for a WR in 1st round when there’s so many good ones you could still get later.
  8. If he’s a difference maker, sign him up. It takes 2 to tango. Beane can’t just wave a magic wand and get the best free agents at positions of need. A lot less difficult to do that in the draft where you can maneuver up or down to fill needs. Or get really lucky and have Oliver drop into your hands.
  9. As much as we all like Eric Wood and he was a good center, there’s no comparison to losing the services of a legit All Pro LT for 10 years. But we probably still would’ve sucked at the end of the Ralph years and in the middle of the Pats dynasty anyway.
  10. Kid is definitely a winner, but there are legit questions about how dynamic he will be in the NFL. Playing with Burrow and another WR who will probably be a top 10 overall pick next year also greatly helped his production. Teams weren’t really able to key on him. I like him. Not sure I like him enough at 22.
  11. I guess I’m in the minority here, but I hope Brady leaves but don’t believe it will happen. Belichik is a great coach but he’s no magician. Replacing Brady with any of those alternatives does little on paper to make them a better team next year. In reality, it will completely divide their fan base and probably even their locker room. Moving on from EJ Manuel or Losman has divided our own fan base. Can you imagine what our fan base would do if we let the best player in NFL history who won us 6 Super Bowls walk for Ryan Tannehill or Teddy bridgewater? Belichik has no choice here. And he’s acting like the maniacal psychopath baby that he is. Brady will be back after Belichik is done with this tantrum.
  12. My point is even with Brady at age 43, none of those guys will win more games with the patriots as Brady would next year. And that doesn’t even factor in the fact that it’s not even close as to who you’d want out there in a playoff win or go home game even at age 43. To move on from the greatest player of all time and not let him retire as a Patriot for any of those guys is absurd. Steve young was a hall of famer. Luck was the best QB prospect to come out of college in years.
  13. Please. I hate Brady with a passion, but those guys can’t carry Brady’s 43 year old jockstrap. And I’m not sure why any of those guys would voluntarily choose to replace the greatest of all time on an offense that is bottom half of the league in talent. They would be getting Boo’d by their home fans by week 3.
  14. To me, the 49ers leak is the biggest tell that Brady isn’t going anywhere. There’s no way he’s going to the 49ers. This whole thing is pathetic on so many levels. It’s not like the Patriots have a Steve Young or Andrew Luck behind Brady. End the charade already. When he inevitably goes back New England, can we publicly flog all the talking heads who indulged in all this nonsense.
  15. This exactly. Just make it stop at this point. He’s going back to New England. All these stories are clickbait nonsense. He’s sure as hell not going to the 49ers.
  16. A hypothetical of Shaq at $10m per year, Hughes at $10m per year, Clowney at $20m per year, Star at $8m per year...it becomes hard to pay Murphy $8m per year as your 4th Defensive End. But hey, if it works for 1 year go for it. It’s not my money. Murphy might also have trade value if all these pass rushers get tagged.
  17. I’d rather have Shaq than Murphy. If you cut Murphy and let Jordan Phillips walk, it doesn’t throw your salary cap allocation to D Line totally out of whack if you sign both Shaq and Clowney. Hughes most likely comes off the books after next year and potentially Star too. Oliver has a couple more years on a cap friendly rookie deal.
  18. They can definitely go wrong if they pass on Tua and he becomes elite. The only good news for them if they pass on him is he won’t be going to the NFC East.
  19. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jayparis/2020/01/31/la-chargers-joey-bosa-is-seeking-a-super-payday-this-offseason/#4435aa707901 Chargers might be dysfunctional enough for Bosa to hold out for a trade.
  20. Despite our recent upswing, I still can’t see the Bills landing a glamour free agent like Clowney. Money talks, but any of the elite pass rushers who hit free agency will have many suitors. Still think our best shot of landing an elite pass rusher is trading our 1st rounder for somebody who’s unhappy like Bosa, but that’s still a long shot. Most likely scenario is we over-pay for Lawson. Beane can’t let both Lawson and Phillips walk without replacing them with an elite pass rusher.
  21. Yes, I’d trade what would be a 3rd round equivalent for green. And I might still end up getting a similar player at pick 33 as pick 22. I just don’t think you can rely on a rookie to improve the offense next year. And I don’t see a repeat trip to the playoffs without improving the offense.
  22. The only thing that might prevent this from happening is Chase Young. Otherwise, redskins would be stupid not to take Tua. Sucks for Haskins though. Look at Rosen. His NFL career is probably ruined because he went to a terrible situation.
  23. They’ll get at least what Seattle and KC got for Clark and Ford. I don’t have a problem with the tag. I think it works well.
  24. I’d be surprised if a guy who has dynamic pass rush potential like Chaisson makes it to pick 22. Burns went 16? last year. Chaisson seems more versatile than Burns was.
