  1. Good thing for the NFL it’s a presidential election year. I’m sure Trump and Biden campaigns will be spending hundreds of millions on TV ads and offset any losses in sponsors.
  2. Edwards looked like he was gonna get broken in half on every play. Dude was so frail, and seemed like 80% of his passes were within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.
  3. The age requirement should go away. If a kid isn’t physically ready, he won’t get drafted. Why should Lawrence have to go back to Clemson if he’s gonna be a 1st round pick now? Look at Tua. He could’ve went just as high last year and came damn near close to suffering a career ending injury. Don’t tell me about insurance policies. A kid shouldn’t have to worry if an insurance policy is actually gonna pay out. RB’s are probably the best example. Too many carries in college is a negative for their pro prospects.
  4. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe those type of revenues are used in the 50% formula that is shared with players.
  5. The 50% number is absurd. Ratings will be huge. Look at the draft. Schefter is revealing himself to be a gigantic tool.
  6. This was a good year to land a QB in free agency, yet Belichik is rolling the dice with Stidham and Hoyer. Either he’s tanking or he has more confidence in his QB’s than Dalton, Winston, Newton, etc. He won 11 games with Matt Cassell and rolled the dice on Brady when he was an unknown afterthought. Maybe they’ll stink but Belichik has more than earned the benefit of the doubt. It’s not laziness to think they could win division.
  7. Because other than Brady, they’ve constantly churned the roster and still always win. Brady wasn’t good last year. If Stidham doesn’t turn the ball over, he won’t be much worse than Brady and even has a chance to be an upgrade if he surprises people. They are cheating a-holes, but are still a championship organization.
  8. Comp picks just seem like they’ve out-lived their purpose. It’s the same well run organizations that always get them. You’re making the rich richer. They clearly don’t need them. And when you give out 10 third rounders like this year, not only do the rich get richer, but it dilutes the talent for the other teams. If the league is gonna keep comp picks, then put quotas on no more than 2 or 3 in the 3rd round or make the 4th round the highest comp pick.
  9. Well, Beane must not be that worried since he didn’t draft an OT and didn’t draft a CB until the 7th round. That’s usually the tell.
  10. That no step 50 yarder is ridiculous. Can’t imagine there’s many guys who can do that. If nothing else, this guy should be an automatic touchback. Brad Daluiso.
  11. As long as Kraft is still one of the most powerful owners in the League along with the Jerry’s, nothing significant will happen. Only thing they care about is making money. There’s no uproar about this any more. People just want sports back.
  12. That was an organization loss. Team played over their heads fueled by a crazy crowd, but losing organizations find ways to lose those games especially when the lights are brightest. I don’t blame Peters and Marshawn for wanting out.
  13. Couldn’t agree more. Ten 3rd round comp picks this year was ridiculous. That’s 10 extra players gone before the start of the 4th round. Most drafts really start to thin out after the first 100 picks. Not only does it help the same teams every year who don’t need the help, it really hurts the teams at the top of the 4th round. Comp picks have definitely out-lived whatever it’s original intent was.
  14. True, but it also looked like guys like Parrish, McGee, and Greer tried to move forward but easily got pushed back. I thought I saw Lil Dante lined up there too. Bunch of sub 200 lb 5’9” guys.
  15. It’s tough drafting a kicker. No matter how good they were in college, it seems like they have to fail or get cut multiple times before they gain the required mental toughness to kick in the NFL.
  16. That was a perfect onside kick but we had 5 midgets up there trying catch the ball.
  17. That team had some good players starting with 2 Hall of Famers on offense. McGee and Greer were good corners. But way too many guys on the field who probably shouldn’t even have been on an NFL roster starting with the QB.
  18. Wouldn’t surprise me if Moss gets more carries than Singletary. I think Singletary is better in the change of pace role.
  19. Cool video but not including Hodgins one handed TD behind his body against Stanford takes something away from it. That was the best catch I’ve seen NFL or college in awhile. #1 play at end of this clip
  20. He has potential to be really good. Naturally big, powerful and athletic dude. Comes down to how good he wants to be. That’s why his combine performance probably dropped him so much. It’s not the numbers themselves but rather whether it reveals how hard he wants to work to be great. Hopefully he’s a guy that just wasn’t into the underwear Olympics and will use his drop in the draft as motivation.
  21. Watched his game against Auburn. He’s clearly played in a ton of big games and has handled himself well, but I’m not sure I ever saw him actually step into a pass. He throws off his back foot but doesn’t have a big arm. The pedigree, intangibles, and importance of the position he plays make it worth a 5th rounder, but he’s gotta change his footwork to make it in the NFL.
  22. yep. Don’t know anything about him, but Chicago was picking 4 picks before us, didn’t have a 6th round pick, and Hudson went the pick before.
  23. Looks like the 5th round. LB from Michigan.
  24. Driftwood is now a draft expert?
  25. Did I read it right that Minnesota has 13 picks today? I guess they’ll be testing the negative value of oil theory. If I’m an agent, I’m telling Minnesota not to draft my client,
