Patriots still have 2 games against the Jets. I think if they lose to Bills this weekend, they will be in full tank mode and those 2 games against the Jets will feature 2 teams trying to both lose the game.

I’m sorry. That’s a fantastic play by Hyde. He separated the ball from the Receiver. So theoretically if a WR catches the ball up by his helmet, you’re not allowed to make a play on the ball? Any contact above the neck was incidental after he separated the ball. I get why the refs called it, but they need some leeway on a play where the defender is trying to dislodge the ball.

Looked like the Right Tackle was pretty was off the LOS. Almost behind the Tight End next to him. Jets got called later in the game for same thing and it negated a nice play.

The D was laying the wood. Glad Perriman is alright but I loved that hit!!!!! That’s what the defense was missing.

Defense was a revelation in 2nd half. Laying the wood and getting to the QB.

I appreciate how talented Josh Allen is after watching Wentz and Jones try to make plays under duress. But even these bottom feeder teams have better RB’s and TE’s than the Bills.

Instead of chasing more shiny objects, Bills gotta get their own house in order first. Too many guys not playing to their potential.

Hughes and Murphy are bad. They don’t set an edge and never get to the QB. Shaq wasn’t that great but he was really good at setting an edge and run stopping. Might as well go big at DE with Jefferson and even Oliver. They can’t do any worse getting pressure and will set the edge better. Secondly, I’d blitz Edmunds more. He’s the best athlete on the field. Stop asking him to drop back and react. It’s not what he’s good at. He needs to become a headhunter out there and strike fear. Our safeties already play conservatively enough already. How many guys do we need running backwards 10 yards on every snap? It’s like this D is forever in prevent mode. Stop the run with the front 4 by going big, and turn Edmunds lose in the backfield.

That defense might actually be softer than ours.

For what it’s worth, Beane thought Star was overpaid too as evidenced by a pay cut.

11 of those top 13 are making a lot of money. $81m of salary cap this year tied up in those 11 players. $91m if you add in healthy scratch Murphy. Stealing money.

If Lorax wants to play, sign him immediately. No leadership on that side of the ball. They need somebody who’s respected enough that he can hold guys accountable on that side of the ball. The defense right now is a bunch of overpaid players just collecting Paychecks.

We need guys who actually want to play like Zimmer. Yes, Covid sucks but McDermott and Beane look to have a bunch of guys on the defensive side who look like they don’t want to be there. Dareus would most likely be another one of those. I’d keep pulling up guys from the practice squad and getting street free agents who are hungry for a shot.
