  1. I’d do it for a 4th. He’s due for a monster year playing for his next contract.
  2. Agreed. I’m thinking Pittman, Claypool, or Kmet at 54. Give Josh a big move the chains pass catcher. There will be good running backs available in the 3rd round and beyond. Plus, there’s still decent ones available in free agency.
  3. Every time I do one of those mocks, Taylor or Dobbins available at 54, Akers available at 86, and the Appalachian State RB available at 128.
  4. Somebody trying hard to lower his draft value. Hopefully he didn’t post rap lyrics to twitter when he was 15.
  5. Yeah. No thanks to Hurts. Reminds too much of EJ Manuel. Better athlete but same deer in headlights look in the pocket.
  6. Drama queen. Pair him up with Jalen Ramsey. They can both make All Pro on a sub 500 team.
  7. It makes no sense for Tampa to trade him. He’s getting paid less than $2m this year. He’s that bad now that you don’t even wait to see how he does with Brady? I might give them Kroft for him but with everything up in the air as to when the team can start working out together, I’m not sure I’d even make that trade as familiarity has to be factored in.
  8. I think you gotta put an asterisk next to Burrow’s breakout age. Urban Meyer won a lot of games but wasn’t exactly a QB guru. It’s not like Burrow struggled when he was young. Just wasn’t given the chance.
  9. I know what’s going on. We’re all going through it. There’s also a lot of business owners with far less means than a billionaire doing everything possible to take care of their employees. Maybe those 25 people got a huge severance package. I don’t know. What I do know is that it’s not a good look for a billionaire to lay off 25 people right now. Even if you gave them a huge severance package, it’s headline news and bad press for the Pegulas.
  10. Bad look. A billionaire can’t keep 25 employees on the books for 6 months until things settle down?
  11. I don’t see that at all. You can argue he doesn’t give up on plays fast enough, but I can’t remember a college QB who delivers the ball as quickly as Tua. I think he’s been over-analyzed because he plays at Alabama. If he stays healthy, he’ll be excellent in NFL. He’s a better QB prospect than than everyone not named Burrow the past couple years.
  12. Not seeing it with Herbert. I know there’s injury concerns with Tua, but I see a young Marino when I see Tua. Quick release, accurate, prolific. I hope Miami takes Herbert.
  13. Game of chicken between Miami and San Diego with Detroit standing to gain a lot. I don’t believe anything being put out there.
  14. Geez. Can’t see a rookie OL making the roster. Think you can cross off OL in the first 5 rounds of the draft.
  15. Only way I’m drafting a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round is if one is rated way higher than anyone else on my board. And there’s no way I’m trading up for one. It’s almost the opposite of drafting a QB where you have to draft a QB a round early. With RB you draft them a round later because their best years are already done after their first contract. Wouldn’t surprise me if one of Taylor or Dobbins is available at 54 and possibly even Akers at 86. And even if they’re available, it might be better to grab one in 4th or 5th round instead.
  16. Wouldn’t be surprised with Edge/DB in Round 2 and WR/RB in Round 3.
  17. The blown touchback call itself doesn’t even bother me that much because we still had opportunities to win the game. Strangely I’m bothered more by the clowns calling the game - Tessitore and McFarland - absolutely influencing N.Y. over-ruling the call on the field. If the game were being called by a non-moron like Romo, he would’ve pointed out the refs can’t guess about the players intent and need to make the call based on the rule book. The black shirts would’ve had 2nd thoughts over-ruling the call. Instead we get the D broadcasting team who talks to hear themselves and doesn’t have the smarts to point out that the refs can’t pretend to know what the player is thinking. Nobody in the booth taking the side of the rule book made it easy for the black shirts and suits in NY to reverse the call.
  18. If he shows up to training camp in a brinks truck then I’ll be worried. But McDermott seems to know how to get the most out of DB’s more than any other position, so we’ll recover if White wants to go Hollywood.
  19. There’s definitely room for a Reagor, Aiyuk, Shenault, Hamler type guy to see the field a lot this season. I’d prefer one of those guys in the 2nd and a downhill physical RB like Moss in the 3rd.
  20. Beane seems to have a good idea what guys are gonna be available at his pick in the draft and acts accordingly in free agency prior to the draft. Judging by who we did and didn’t sign in free agency, it looks like RB is big possibility in rounds 2 or 3. Same with CB/nickel LB. And if an edge rusher or WR is highest on his board, I’d think he go there too. Can’t see Beane using a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a QB, OL, or DT in this draft. If one of those 3 positions are highest on his board, then you consider trading down.
  21. Should be fun with a lot more surprises to the average fan, since the experts will have a lot harder time piece-ing together accurate boards which they’ve gotten quite good at.
  22. Seems like a guy you want on your team. Probably hard to pull the trigger before the 5th or even 6th round though based on his athletic profile and not being able to play with his hand in the ground all the time like he did at Michigan State. You wanna compare him to a guy like Kyle Williams but Kyle didn’t have play a new position.
  23. We need a downhill guy who’s gonna add a physical presence to the offense. If Taylor isn’t available at pick 54, you can get somebody that adds that without the big play ability in the 4th or 5th round.
