If Lorax wants to play, sign him immediately. No leadership on that side of the ball. They need somebody who’s respected enough that he can hold guys accountable on that side of the ball. The defense right now is a bunch of overpaid players just collecting Paychecks.

We need guys who actually want to play like Zimmer. Yes, Covid sucks but McDermott and Beane look to have a bunch of guys on the defensive side who look like they don’t want to be there. Dareus would most likely be another one of those. I’d keep pulling up guys from the practice squad and getting street free agents who are hungry for a shot.

Careful, he’s got a lot of apologists in the media and on this board. Other than inexplicably not tackling Mahomes that led to a 4th and short and TD instead of a FG, you wouldn’t have even known he was on the field. When Milano gets healthy, Edmunds needs to be benched.

61 Zimmer was an improvement. Can’t stop with Murphy and Harrison. Everybody on that defense should be on notice. Edmunds Hughes and Oliver should be next to be a healthy inactive.

I love how physical the 49ers run game is. Mostert runs so damn hard. It sets up their passing game.

For some reason the pulling guard blocked Jefferson instead of Edmunds and the fullback went outside of Jefferson. Edmunds was left unblocked and had a clear path to Henry for a negative yardage play. Gotta take advantage of the other team’s mistakes. It’s like he was shocked the Guard didn’t block him.

I understand what his assignment was. Since the pulling guard went for Jefferson instead of Edmunds, Edmunds decided to stick with his assignment and literally do nothing except give the pulling guard a love tap as he blocked Jefferson instead of recognizing he had a clear path to the ball carrier. Yes, Klein sucked too, but I expect Edmunds to be able to read that he has a clear path to Henry. If he’s not allowed to do that, then that’s an indictment on the coaching.

The pulling guard goes straight for Jefferson. This is what people mean by bad instincts. Even if the pulling guard is Edmunds assignment, a more instinctive player recognizes he has a straight path to the ball carrier and makes the stop in the backfield for minus 2 yards.

Huh? That’s on Edmunds side. He’s unblocked, is the first guy with a chance to hit Henry and inexplicably peels off towards the O-Lineman.

I hope those 2 plays aren’t the best arguments in support of Edmunds having a good game. One play I vividly remember was a short yardage play where it almost appeared Edmunds thought #75 on the Titans had the ball and the RB who actually had the ball was nowhere near and easily got the 1st down. We all want him to play well, not sure how anybody could say he played well on Tuesday, but that was pretty much the case for the whole team. To my untrained eye, Hughes was the worst player on the field.

He got his payday. If he’s past that and looking for be a baller again, he could be a huge jolt to the offense. Our RB’s are very mediocre.
