Mike Pettine done in Green Bay
BuffaloRebound replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Geez. That Head Coach throwing his special teams coach and now defensive coordinator under the bus. Who’s gonna take the fall for the decision to kick the field goal which was probably the worst decision of them all on Sunday. -
He’s got 1 year $8.25m left on his contract. The rest is bonus amortization which is irrelevant to the team who trades for him. Philly actually saves no money trading him vs. cutting him since the 8.25m isn’t guaranteed. For a team way over the cap and who didn’t want to extend his contract because his replacement (Goedert) is in the roster, I can’t see a scenario where Ertz is on their roster in 2021.

Greg Olsen on Cowherd "a little bit of buyers remorse"
BuffaloRebound replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He made a difference when he was on the field this year. Was definitely still a weapon just couldn’t stay healthy. -
Deshaun Watson officially requests trade from Houston
BuffaloRebound replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Time to sell the team if you forced yourself into trading a 25 year old franchise QB. Short of trading for Mahomes, Allen, or Herbert there’s no face-saving trade you can make here. You either gotta reconcile or make him sit. If Watson hates the place so much, why did he sign on a long term extension? -
Greg Olsen on Cowherd "a little bit of buyers remorse"

Bet on the wrong QB. To be fair, 99.9% of people would’ve picked Wilson over Josh before the season. -
Not sure what commercial you’re talking about, but there’s a big difference for a guy who’s made a ton of money to have a wife who basically lives the same lifestyle as a football player versus having a wife who needs help with the kids at home. Each situation is different but I’d bet on Erst wanting to play football as long as he can.

Maybe but why blow up the OL when for the most part they were excellent giving Josh time to throw and he put up the best passing numbers in team history. Much easier to find a more violent powerful back who can get tough yards and move the chains. I’d settle for a RB who can fall forward for an extra 1-2 yards when tackled. Singletary leaves so many yards on the field.

Knox rarely catches a pass downfield cleanly. Kind of a fatal flaw for a Tight End. I think he found his niche in the 2nd half of season more as a gadget/halfback. He’s got no problem catching dump-offs and using his athleticism. Heck, I’d rather line up Knox in the backfield on passing downs than Singletary. This offense needs a Tight End who’s a downfield passing threat.

Can’t be a 1 trick pony and win championships. You’re gonna come up against a team that’s gonna take away what you do best. Even though Singletary was a draft miss, not sure why the coaching staff has a Peterman-like affinity for him. Coaching staff preaches no entitlement. If we had a RB who could’ve run with some power/violence, there was 5-7 yards a pop minimum.

No way he’s gonna cost a 2nd rounder. Philly might even cut him. But I do like the idea of bringing him in. Philly has been a dumpster fire. I think Ertz still has a lot left. I also think a guy whose wife is one of the best soccer players in the world is gonna be motivated to stay in great shape into his mid 30’s.

I have no problem with what Beane did last year in free agency on the D-Line given what was available. They can’t all be winners and like some have said most/all of the D-Line contracts won’t kill you if you move on after a year. I will have a problem if he doesn’t cut some of the fat this year and make a run at an elite pass rusher.
-
I like Milano but paying him more than $10m per year is a gross mis-allocation of funds. He’s a good player but doesn’t rush the passer and doesn’t shut down Tight Ends. He’s a luxury player for a team like the Bills without a pass rush. That money needs to be spent on a pass rusher or somebody who can slow down the top Tight Ends. I’d offer him 4 years, $30m.

Chiefs 19m Over Salary Cap in 2021
BuffaloRebound replied to JMF2006's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not talking about guys at the upper end of the food chain. KC doesn’t need those for the next couple years. Yes, I’m talking about guys like Bell who are looking to resurrect their careers and go to KC on a 1 year deal in the hopes they can get a bigger deal somewhere else the following year. -
Chiefs 19m Over Salary Cap in 2021
BuffaloRebound replied to JMF2006's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All their money is tied up in 9-10 players who are the best at their position. They can re-structure 3 or 4 of them and get under the cap. As long as they have Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, jones, Matthieu and Clark, they are super bowl favorites. And players will take less to be there now that they’re super bowl favorites every year. -
Bills announce 13 reserve/future signings
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does Dane Jackson. a 7th round pick from 2020, have to sign a futures contract? Aren’t all draft picks on their rookie deals for at least 3 years? -
Leonard Williams please. Switch has turned on for him. Elite talent and now an elite player. You wanna beat the Chiefs, you need studs up front.

Offseason Primer Position Group: DL
BuffaloRebound replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully Oliver takes another step next year, but we absolutely need to land a premier pass rusher this offseason to take the next step. Look at how KC is built. Jones and Clark are in top 3 with Mahomes in highest paid on that team. More than Hill and more than Kelce. Paying 5-6 JAG’s on the DL $8m each is not a championship formula. Pay 2 studs $20m and they’ll make everybody playing next to them better. -
Barrett looked pretty awesome on Sunday against Green Bay.
