Edmunds also has a little Thomas Smith in him. For you youngsters, Smith was an above average CB in the mid 90’s for the Bills. He was good in coverage but his giant flaw was QB’s had no fear throwing his way because he had no chance of ever catching the ball. I feel NFL QB’s and offensive coordinators have caught onto the same thing with Edmunds. Even if he’s in the right place, there’s no fear of throwing the ball in his direction.

Jason Witten has a new job.

At least this means he won’t be in the booth calling games. So thank you Liberty Christian in Argyle, Texas.- 22 replies

Brees routinely got subbed out when he was healthy and was an extremely limited QB at the end. Josh is our offense. Not saying Barkley couldn’t be upgraded, but given the Bills current cap situation and the fact that we have no running game, whatever money we spend on upgrading Barkley could be put to a better use.
-
Maybe not but Gaines got cut immediately. Bills are also in a bit of a pickle on the DL. Lots of cap room tied up there with a decreasing cap. Just not sure how it’s gonna go over in the locker-room if a guy who went through everything these guys went through this season is cut to make room for Star. All these guys who are close to 300 lbs are high risk for Covid.
-
Will be interesting to see what happens to a lot of these guys who opted out because of Covid. I’m sure they all had their reasons, but it does make you wonder how well these guys will be received in the locker-room. I‘m sure the bond in the locker-room was even stronger this year with all these guys went through to play. So much has changed since Star agreed to take a pay cut in exchange for guaranteed money.

Detroit went almost 5 years without a 100 yard rusher in a game. Let that sink in. If the Rams asked Goff to drop back and pass like Detroit asked Stafford to, Goff’s numbers would be a lot worse. The Rams have one of the best records in the League since McVay took over. Goff was complete garbage the year before McVay took over. There’s a reason a bunch of teams wanted Stafford and a reason the Rams had to throw in sweeteners to get somebody to take Goff.

This is a beautiful thing. I am now a Matthew Stafford fan.
-
the only way that makes any sense is if somebody else was offering 3 first round picks for Stafford.
-
but that has nothing to do with having to send extra picks to include Goff. If somebody else wanted Goff, the Rams would’ve traded less to Detroit and got something in return for Goff.
-
you don’t think the Rams called the at least 10 other teams actively looking QB’s to see what they could get for Goff?
-
The tell that Detroit is tanking is that they had to give Campbell a 6 year deal.

Imagine what the package would be for Josh?

Josh is worth more to us than anybody else because he fits in Buffalo. I actually think WAtson’s trade value is probably slightly higher because he’s dominated from Day 1. Probably still some Josh doubters out there because he’s only played at this level for 1 year. That said, I wouldn’t take 5 first round picks for Josh. I’d consider a trade for Mahomes and that’s it. There’s no QB who’s a better fit for Buffalo than Josh. -
It’s more than a narrative about Goff. He has negative trade value. If he didn’t, the Rams would’ve traded him to one of the other 10 teams actively looking for a QB.
-
Wouldn’t be surprised if Goff never even plays for Detroit. If Detroit thought anything of Goff they wouldn’t have asked for what they got from the Rams.

Sports are supposed to be fun. I love what the McVay and the Rams are doing. Draft picks are over-valued. If I’m a fan of a team, I wanna see them going all out for championships. Donald and Ramsey are probably ecstatic too. Can’t waste another year of their prime on Goff. They got out of a bad situation with Goff and are probably favorites in the NFC next year.
-
I look at it more as an organization that can admit their mistakes. Goff is a below average NFL starter. He was complete trash as a rookie. McVay and that coaching staff did the most they could with him. If Detroit or the rest of the NFL thought Goff wasn’t an Osweiler, Rams wouldn’t have had to trade 2 first rounders to get rid of him. Would’ve been other takers.
-
nothing. His guarantees would get traded to the next team.

I could see the colts getting at least a 2nd round pick from the Eagles to take on Wentz and his contract. With the cap declining, cap space is a very valuable commodity and the Colts have it.
