All their money is tied up in 9-10 players who are the best at their position. They can re-structure 3 or 4 of them and get under the cap. As long as they have Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, jones, Matthieu and Clark, they are super bowl favorites. And players will take less to be there now that they’re super bowl favorites every year.

Why does Dane Jackson. a 7th round pick from 2020, have to sign a futures contract? Aren’t all draft picks on their rookie deals for at least 3 years?

Hopefully Oliver takes another step next year, but we absolutely need to land a premier pass rusher this offseason to take the next step. Look at how KC is built. Jones and Clark are in top 3 with Mahomes in highest paid on that team. More than Hill and more than Kelce. Paying 5-6 JAG’s on the DL $8m each is not a championship formula. Pay 2 studs $20m and they’ll make everybody playing next to them better.

I like Milano but there’s no way I’m paying a LB who isn’t a pass rusher or who can’t blanket TE’s more than $10m per year. Same goes for Edmunds.

Can’t see how these signings help much. We don’t need a high priced RB. We just need an average RB who can get tough yards. Moss was on his way to providing that before he got hurt. On offense We need a legit TE more than anything. Knox can be a good #2 gadget type TE. On defense, we need to move heaven and earth to get some pass rushers.

A lot of people have crazy families so I’m not gonna judge him by that, I’m going more by how he carries himself on the field. Seems like it’s never his fault. Brady lays into his teammates but he man’s up when he makes mistakes too.

He’s a great player but seems like a petty D-bag. Brady is too but Brady seems to channel it into team success. Rodgers seems like a me guy.

Hughes deserves to go out on his own terms. If he still wants to play next year, give him a 1 year extension and convert his 2021 salary into a signing bonus to spread the cap hit. Hughes at $5-6m cap hit is worth it. The rest of the vets on the DL can go.

2nd round tender for RFA’s projected to be $3.4m. Original round tender $2.2m. Not a huge fan of Wallace, but kind of a no brainer to bring him back for $3.4m. Corners aren’t easy to find. If Bills original round tender him at $2.2m somebody will give him more money than that and not owe the Bills anything because he was an undrafted free agent. Can’t see the Bills making any splash signings in the secondary other than drafting a big nickel to cover Tight Ends.

He needed to take off running more last night. He’s almost unstoppable when he drops back and then takes off. I feel like he could’ve had 8-10 yards running every time he dropped back. If he did that, it might have settled him down and it definitely would’ve forced the Chiefs out of their tight man coverage.

Wasn’t Wallace an undrafted free agent? Gonna have to 2nd round tender him or else a team will sign him. Still think he’s worth the $2-3m for the 2nd round tender.

I actually thought Moss looked good towards end of season before he got hurt. Better than Singletary at least but I hope Beane stops drafting low upside RB’s in the 3rd round. Davis was good. Epenesa has potential. Bass was a hit pick. Jackson looks like he could be good. If Epenesa becomes an 8-10 sack per year guy, this will go down as a good draft.

Knox is a good gadget type player. Especially down in the red zone. But he’s not a traditional Tight End. Josh needs a Tight End who can move the chains.

Cut Morse and give Feliciano $5m per year. Cut Brown and find a way to re-sign Williams. Those cuts and re-signings basically offset and don’t make us worse. Losing Williams or Feliciano makes us worse.

Ertz. Championship pedigree and in the Kelce mode. Same age as Kelce also. Nobody’s as good as Kelce but he’s still a top TE. Philly is a dumpster fire and way over the cap. Put Ertz and Fletcher Cox on this team, and we significantly close the gap with KC. Cut Morse and Brown on offense. Re-sign Feliciano and Williams. RB’s are cheap and easy to find if McBeane finally comes to grips with Singletary not being the answer. More than enough fat to cut on the DL to offset Cox’s $16m per year price tag. Cox would make everybody better on the DL. Oliver, Hughes, Epenesa, and maybe you keep Jefferson because of his versatility. Addison and one of Butler/Star goes to pay for Cox. Give Milano no more than $8m per year. Draft a big nickel with 1st round pick. I’m figuring 2nd and 4th round pick for Cox and Ertz.

Excellent analysis. Agree with everything you said. Especially the part about Edmunds being in the right spots but never making any plays. Too robotic. And Feliciano and Dawkins showed they are 2 dudes you wanna go to battle with. They can play for my team anytime.

Need more speed and violence across the board to beat KC. We looked slow and soft. Mr. Executive of the Year needs to stop handing out $8m per year contracts to guys who are replacement level players. And stop drafting slow and small RB’s in the 3rd round.

Agreed. #1 should be a cheap/easy fix if McBeane acknowledges the problem. #2 will probably cost our 1st rounder for a vet difference maker but is sorely needed. #3 2nd rounder on a big nickel. We need an upgrade in speed and violence on the roster to compete against KC.

I’m extremely confident that if you replaced Addison, whoever starts next to Oliver at DT, and Edmunds with street free agents that the defense wouldn’t have been any worse. Zimmer played as good as butler and Jefferson. Johnson wasn’t any worse than Addison. Edmunds is a robotic liability but since he’s still on his rookie deal, I’d keep him another year. The secondary would look a lot better with a pass rush. I thought Poyer was outstanding this year.

We will never beat Mahomes without a better pass rush. That has to priority #1 in the offseason. We also need a decent RB but that should not be hard to fix as long as Beane can man up and admit he got it wrong with Singletary. Pass rush is a different story. There is so much overpaid dead weight on the DL. If I’m Beane I’d move heaven and earth to get a guy like Fletcher Cox, a vet chasing a ring who’s currently in a dumpster fire situation. He demands double teams and blows up game plans.

Chiefs running game was worse than ours tonight. I’d settle for an average RB. Not sure we have one of those on the roster. We need a difference maker on the DL. I’d trade our #1 pick for Fletcher Cox. There’s so much dead weight on the DL. Anybody not on their rookie deal except Hughes is getting paid too much.
