  1. Goff is why they had to give up that much. His contract was almost un-tradable.
  2. Detroit must be completely tanking. Kudos to the Rams getting rid of Goff. He was holding them back. THat defense is legit. Now McVay has a real QB to work with.
  3. If you’re talking about Watt, he has 1 year $17m left on his deal. None of it guaranteed and no dead money to Texans. If they cut him, they save $17m and have no dead money. Even though we need help on the DL, not sure how much Watt has left and there’s no way I’m trading anything for him to pay him $17m for 1 year. Maybe for $10m for 1 year. He’d be an upgrade over Addison.
  4. Definitely not advocating giving up on Knox, but he hasn’t shown enough to not find a veteran upgrade.
  5. I’d love to get Burkhead if he has anything left. Would be a perfect fit for this offense. He’s an immediate upgrade and wouldn’t be expensive.
  6. Bills can’t wait around hoping Knox turns into something he hasn’t been. He hasn’t shown that he can catch balls cleanly. The drops and fumbles are killers but so is the fact that his hands aren’t sure enough to catch it cleanly and turn it upfield. He can be a good #2TE/ gadget halfback type, but this offense needs a chain moving TE that defenses need to respect to take another step.
  7. He was terrible in the Arizona game that they needed to make the playoffs. Then again, it was just 1 game so not fair to completely judge him off that but he was noticeably bad in that game.
  8. Geez. That Head Coach throwing his special teams coach and now defensive coordinator under the bus. Who’s gonna take the fall for the decision to kick the field goal which was probably the worst decision of them all on Sunday.
  9. He’s got 1 year $8.25m left on his contract. The rest is bonus amortization which is irrelevant to the team who trades for him. Philly actually saves no money trading him vs. cutting him since the 8.25m isn’t guaranteed. For a team way over the cap and who didn’t want to extend his contract because his replacement (Goedert) is in the roster, I can’t see a scenario where Ertz is on their roster in 2021.
  10. he’s got 1 year $8m left on his deal. He’s either getting cut or maybe Philly gets lucky and teams like Indy or Bills both want him and have to give up a 6th or 5th rounder. Can’t see him going for more than that unless the League completely dismisses last year in Philly as a dumpster fire.
  11. He made a difference when he was on the field this year. Was definitely still a weapon just couldn’t stay healthy.
  12. Time to sell the team if you forced yourself into trading a 25 year old franchise QB. Short of trading for Mahomes, Allen, or Herbert there’s no face-saving trade you can make here. You either gotta reconcile or make him sit. If Watson hates the place so much, why did he sign on a long term extension?
  13. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nfl-rumors-could-one-afc-004715711.html looks like a Philly writer thinks Ertz and Bills would be good match.
  14. Bet on the wrong QB. To be fair, 99.9% of people would’ve picked Wilson over Josh before the season.
  15. Not sure what commercial you’re talking about, but there’s a big difference for a guy who’s made a ton of money to have a wife who basically lives the same lifestyle as a football player versus having a wife who needs help with the kids at home. Each situation is different but I’d bet on Erst wanting to play football as long as he can.
  16. Maybe but why blow up the OL when for the most part they were excellent giving Josh time to throw and he put up the best passing numbers in team history. Much easier to find a more violent powerful back who can get tough yards and move the chains. I’d settle for a RB who can fall forward for an extra 1-2 yards when tackled. Singletary leaves so many yards on the field.
  17. Knox rarely catches a pass downfield cleanly. Kind of a fatal flaw for a Tight End. I think he found his niche in the 2nd half of season more as a gadget/halfback. He’s got no problem catching dump-offs and using his athleticism. Heck, I’d rather line up Knox in the backfield on passing downs than Singletary. This offense needs a Tight End who’s a downfield passing threat.
  18. Can’t be a 1 trick pony and win championships. You’re gonna come up against a team that’s gonna take away what you do best. Even though Singletary was a draft miss, not sure why the coaching staff has a Peterman-like affinity for him. Coaching staff preaches no entitlement. If we had a RB who could’ve run with some power/violence, there was 5-7 yards a pop minimum.
  19. No way he’s gonna cost a 2nd rounder. Philly might even cut him. But I do like the idea of bringing him in. Philly has been a dumpster fire. I think Ertz still has a lot left. I also think a guy whose wife is one of the best soccer players in the world is gonna be motivated to stay in great shape into his mid 30’s.
  20. Article lost all credibility for me when 5’9” 190lb Matthieu is referred to as a big safety. He’s awesome but he ain’t big.
  21. I have no problem with what Beane did last year in free agency on the D-Line given what was available. They can’t all be winners and like some have said most/all of the D-Line contracts won’t kill you if you move on after a year. I will have a problem if he doesn’t cut some of the fat this year and make a run at an elite pass rusher.
  22. In terms of free agents, Leonard Williams. Guys who might be available via trade (also longer in the tooth) include Khalil Mack and Fletcher Cox.
  23. look what a true #1 WR did for the WR group and the offense. DL needs its Diggs this year. Paying 5-6 JAGs $8-10m per year is not smart allocation of cap dollars. Go get a stud who demands double teams and he’ll make everybody better.
  24. I like Milano but paying him more than $10m per year is a gross mis-allocation of funds. He’s a good player but doesn’t rush the passer and doesn’t shut down Tight Ends. He’s a luxury player for a team like the Bills without a pass rush. That money needs to be spent on a pass rusher or somebody who can slow down the top Tight Ends. I’d offer him 4 years, $30m.
  25. not talking about guys at the upper end of the food chain. KC doesn’t need those for the next couple years. Yes, I’m talking about guys like Bell who are looking to resurrect their careers and go to KC on a 1 year deal in the hopes they can get a bigger deal somewhere else the following year.
