  1. I think we are fine at RB. Moss showed promise at end of year. Singletary will be highly motivated next year or he’ll be playing on a vet minimum deal. Add a low priced vet like Marlin Mack as competition and that’s a solid RB group. Tight End is the biggest need on offense assuming we re-sign Williams at RT.
  2. Washington is a team I could see willing to deal one of their young Defensive Linemen for a 1st round pick. They desperately need a QB and could use more draft ammo to move up from pick 19. Also not sure how they’ll be able to pay all 4 of those guys when they come due.
  3. Would you trade pick #30 for one of WFT’s Defensive lineman not named chase young? They need a QB more than anything and are short draft assets to either trade for one or move up in the draft. If rivera is following the Beane model, they will go all in to find their franchise QB. And they aren’t gonna be able to pay Allen, Payne and Sweat in addition to Young.
  4. Go get Fletcher Cox. He was still dominant last year and has no injury history. 2 years $33m left on his contract. Gotta imagine he doesn’t wanna waste his last couple good years in a rebuild situation.
  5. Good luck to him. Would’ve been a nice pickup, but at least he didn’t pick Cleveland.
  6. $8m over the cap isn’t much. Could easily convert Rodgers salary and roster bonus to a signing bonus. He’s probably due a new contract coming off an MVP year anyway. Maybe that’s what Watt’s waiting on. Can’t see Watt going to Green Bay unless Rodgers is a happy camper.
  7. If Watt doesn’t pick Green Bay, it won’t have anything to do with the salary cap. They could easily make it work if they want it to.
  8. That looks like same dude he blew up in both those clips. Poor guy.
  9. I know it was only 1 game, but he was pretty bad when I re-watched the Colts playoff game. Drops, no separation, and basically bullied by the Colts DB’s. His money would be much better spent on a big bodied TE who can block and move the chains.
  10. I don’t know. When you look at the 3 best TE’s in the game (Kelce, Kittle, Waller), none of them had huge college production except for kelce’s last year at Cincy and none were drafted in first 2 rounds.
  11. Well if Knox went in the 3rd round with little college production, Tremble looks bigger and a better athlete. If we could trade back a couple times and pick up a few more top 100 picks, seems like the type of guy worth taking a gamble on. NFL is a league of athletic freaks.
  12. Depressing to think we traded away 2 Hall of Famers (Peters and Marshawn) in an 18 month span. Good job Russ. That might’ve actually been Nix too.
  13. Makes for a good narrative when he signs with Bills for less than that. Makes Beane’s job easier when Watt takes less money to go for a championship.
  14. I think Moss takes a step up in his 2nd year. Bring in a low priced vet with some speed/power to compete with Singletary. I don’t think McCoy is better than Singletary at this point.
  15. Here’s a question... what would Addison get in this market if the Bills released him? How about Butler or Jefferson?
  16. Absolutely. There’s like 10 teams actively looking for a staring QB right now. That number will drop by at least half after the draft. And teams haven’t spent money yet on free agency. The next 2-3 weeks are probably the sweet spot for Houston.
  17. This has a feel like he’s not getting the offers he wants from the teams he wants to go to. If he was that in demand, this would be a done deal.
  18. Wilson’s contract isn’t trade-able for the Seahawks. $39m in dead cap for a team built to win now. And then they’d have to pay at least $20m for Carr. If they traded Wilson, they’d have to blow up their current team and start from scratch. More likely scenario is Wilson gets Carroll fired or whoever else he wants gone. With the no trade clause, the dead cap, and a team built to win now, Wilson holds all the cards.
  19. Makes sense. This is gonna be a crazier than normal free agency period. Teams don’t even know the final cap number just that it’s gonna be 5-10% lower. Agents are gonna be earning their money with all the pay cut, restructuring or straight up releases that are gonna be going on. There’s at least 5 vets on Bills who’d be smart to agree to a pay cut ASAP. If Beane decides to cut them after the initial surge of free agency, they’ll be lucky to get much more than the veteran minimum.
  20. That’s more high motor, lunch pail hard workers than 1 team can handle.
  21. Fair enough about Bridgewater’s contract. He’s due $17m in 2021 and $20m in 2022. That’s a lot for a bridge QB. Fitz at $10m is better option. But I’d still take Bridgewater over Darnold.
  22. I’d rather have Bridgewater than Darnold if I’m the Texans. They are in complete rebuild mode. Darnold hasn’t shown anything in 3 years, and in the unlikely event he turns it around in year 4, you’re stuck with the decision of having to pay him $25m+ for 1 good year and 3 bad ones. No thanks to Darnold. Bridgewater is a good bridge QB and what that franchise will need if they deal Watson.
  23. Yes. I’d take Bridgewater, 3 1sts and a 2nd over Darnold and 4 1sts to get Watson out of the AFC if I were the Texans. I wouldn’t want to potentially have to play him every year and it’s one less franchise QB in the conference for the next 10-15 years.
  24. Appreciate the story. Just seems strange that the Bills and Milano skipped right to Milano is testing free agency more than 3 weeks from free agency. I guess that implies Bills won’t be using franchise or transition tag on him and that they’re done negotiating if they had any negotiations at all. Not familiar with any other high profile free agents across the League where this has been publicly stated except for Milano. Why would Beane give other teams a 3 week head start on knowing Milano is gonna be available if Beane has any interest in retaining him? Bye Matt.
