  1. Addison and Butler probably wouldn’t have got as much as Jefferson just did. Their pay cuts most likely amounted to raises if they’d gotten cut.
  2. it’s very confusing. What is there to exercise if the option bonus was guaranteed when they signed?
  3. No way White had a $20m cap hit before this and Dawkins had a $18m cap hit. Also says the option bonus was guaranteed at signing. So not sure what the option was actually for. The original tweet looks wrong.
  4. Spotrac shows the option as guaranteed for both of them. Not sure I understand the mechanics at play here.
  5. Makes you think Bills didn’t give him or Brown the option to take a pay cut.
  6. Thule was his college coach.
  7. Mack’s cap hit this year if traded would be $1.275m to his new team. That’s also the only money that’d have to be paid to him this year by his new team. That’s not a typo. The Bears converted his salary to a bonus to get under the cap. Unless Pace is trying to sabotage his way out of town, Mack isn’t going anywhere.
  8. Where are you seeing this? The only number that counts is the one kept by the NFL, not spotrac or over the cap.
  9. what the hell is going on in this thread? The Eagles have been making moves the past month to get under the cap. The Wentz deal was never really in doubt. In regards to Ertz, it looks like they don’t need the $8m they would’ve saved by cutting him to get under the cap. So they now can trade him if they want instead of cutting him. Or they can just hold on to him.
  10. Bills cap hit would be like $1.2m for Mack in first year. If this happened, we’d have to give up multiple 1st round picks. The Bears would’ve paid Mack’s salary for 2021 in addition to eating the cap.
  11. Well the important detail is left out... what level they rendered him at.
  12. McCaffrey. Carolina is all in on Watson. Texans would probably rather have an extra 1st rounder than McCaffrey. All the ladies find him dreamy. That’s all I got.
  13. Average speed within 1 second of a route is a great statistic. Crazy what type of data these teams have to work with now.
  14. Still seems like a Gronk type is what the doctor ordered. I’d think Rudolph would be a better fit than Ertz and cheaper.
  15. Agreed but it’s the talent part you’d be taking a swing at. Other options available are in their 30’s and would cost just as much if not more. We have enough of those. Clowney is still relatively young and has more upside than the options available. We need upside on the D-Line. If he flames out, Bills have plenty of JAG’s to roll out there.
  16. I don’t think anybody’s obsessed with Clowney. We have enough JAG’s on the D-Line. There’s still elite potential in there somewhere. D Williams sucked the 2 years before we brought him in. The risk paid off. Unless you wanna pay $15m+ over multiple years, you gotta take some risks to improve the pass rush. If there are better options out there, I’d be all for them.
  17. I think Clowney in the $6-7m per year range is a risk worth taking.
  18. I’d probably do it but not sure why anybody would make that trade with the Bills.
  19. Maybe but 31 year old speed Receivers need to take as much guaranteed money as possible. I wouldn’t be betting that my value is gonna go up as a 32 year old speed Receiver, but maybe market will be better for wideouts next year.
  20. I know it was only 1 game, but Brown was terrible in the Colts playoff game. Dropped passes, no separation, and basically bullied by the Colts DB’s. And he played about the same against KC. I don’t know much about Sanders but he seems to have much better hands in traffic and gets open.
  21. Hopefully the first of 3 or 4 ring chasers.
  22. More likely Deshaun the 49ers and Garropolo to Patriots.
  23. Technical question, do teams have to stay under the cap after March 17?
  24. I’m sure roseman doesn’t want Ertz going to Indy, so we got that in our favor in trying to land Ertz.
