Warren Sharp analysis on Bills draft needs
BuffaloRebound replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We were below average running the ball and were really bad defending the run. -
The Great Tremaine Edmunds Debate
BuffaloRebound replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. He’s in the right spot to make plays but doesn’t. He’s gotta start finding that inner dawg/swagger if he wants to take next step. He has the tools to be elite. That’s what’s so frustrating about him. -
Favorite Mock Draft...
BuffaloRebound replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Be prepared for these mock drafts to be nowhere near what happens in 2 weeks even more so than usual. After the first 10 picks, it kind of seems like nobody has any idea what’s gonna happen. In a normal year, teams would’ve already had their boards lined up and started leaking mis-information. Doesn’t seem to be much scuttle-butt which is most likely due to all these teams scrambling to get info on these guys and still trying to sort out their boards. -
We need to stop the Wallace/ vet nobody wants revolving door at CB2. I’d be very surprised if a CB isn’t selected in first 2 rounds.

Zach Ertz about to be traded? [Edit: or Not]
BuffaloRebound replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d be fine with that trade unless JOK falls to 30. -
The whole draft this year is a catch 22. Opt-outs, lack of scouts on campus, shortened seasons, cancelled games. A crazy year all around, making a hard task of projecting these guys that much harder. Probably better to trade back from 30 and get more bites at the apple because the miss rate is gonna be higher across the board this year.

It doesn’t even matter if it’s true anymore. There’s too many women and too much creepy/weird behavior. Watson needs this to go away immediately and start the clock on people forgetting about this which could take years. Conservatively he could make $400m the next 12 years playing football. The NFL can’t let him play with that many lawsuits pending.

Bills sign G Forrest Lamp
BuffaloRebound replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not grumbling at all. I like it. Pleasantly surprised that guys with a lot of NFL experience are signing here for vet minimum deals when Beane is returning most of last years roster. Bills must be developing a reputation as straight shooters and a place where you can get better. -
David Njoku, TE Browns, on the trading block...
BuffaloRebound replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d rather have Ertz. Good thing is njoku being available probably hurts Eagles in their quest to get a 3rd for Ertz. -
2017 Draft Trade - Flip The Template?
BuffaloRebound replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope. Trading future 1sts is a very risky proposition. Things can happen and that 1st rounder ends up being a top 5 pick. Just look at Houston. Although adding Trubisky could be insurance against that scenario. -

Guys who can play Left Tackle always go higher in draft than people think. -
Top 31 NFL prospects, a consensus?
BuffaloRebound replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he’d be a good fit here. Even in an optimistic scenario he wouldn’t be expected to play more than 50% of snaps in a year 1, and adds an element that Bills don’t have on the edge. If we got a DB at pick 30 and were somehow able to trade up and get Rousseau in middle of 2nd round, that would be a great draft. -
Top 31 NFL prospects, a consensus?

I don’t think he had a bad pro day. A dude who’s 6’7” with 35 inch arms and puts up 21 reps and runs a 4.69 forty is pretty rare/impressive. He just had the misfortune of performing alongside Phillips who is what you’d create in a lab for an edge rusher. I think Rousseau will be a beast in the NFL. -

If Rousseau somehow falls to 30, Id sprint to podium or however picks are done now post-covid. He’s not the athlete Phillips is but he’s strong and slippery and his game changing trait is his strength/length combo. He collapses the pocket and with his length nobody can get around him. Basically takes away one side of the field from the QB to scramble and the RB to run. I’d love Phillips too but can’t see him lasting to 30 unless his medicals are terrible. -

They’re Notre Dame linemen. Responded to post saying Notre Dame O-Lineman not having good track record of success. -
agreed. There are still some ring chasers available at CB like Sherman and Edge Rusher like Houston and Ingram whom I’m sure Beane has talked to. Those guys would’ve already signed with rebuilding teams if they were chasing money. Sherman just gave an interview that the teams he’s looking at are waiting until after they see who they draft.

Zack Martin was considered best O Lineman in NFL for a long time. Now Quentin Nelson is. -
Height/Length is an under-rated quality for DB’s and LB’s. Always been important for OT’s and edge rushers. But with how much teams throw now, it’s more important than ever to have some coverage guys with length. Hopkins easily jumped over our 3 best DB’s for the Hail Murray. Tight Ends typically have a 5-6 inch height advantage over our DB’s and Milano. Including Milano, Bills have 6 guys in coverage who are 6 feet or under. Give me a 6’1”+ CB with long arms or a 6’3+ LB with coverage skills.
-
Yep. JOK would definitely help this defense but so would any bigger player in the back 7 who can cover. With how advanced and precise passing games have become, you need some length and size in the back 7. Edmunds is our only back 7 player with length and size but he has zero ball skills.
