  1. Not the year to strike it rich if you’re a free agent Guard. Seems like market is flooded with decent/good guards.
  2. Now with news Jags are tagging Cam Robinson, tagging Darryl Williams doesn’t look like a bad option. Williams will get paid a lot of he hits free agency. There’s a lot more cheap options at Guard. I think Feliciano is odd man out unfortunately
  3. This is why I think you tag him. Over-paying him for 1 year not end of world. Playing Ford at RT may be.
  4. I guess I’m in the minority but I’m using it on Williams. He’s the best RT on the market. Risk taking a step back on offense with a downgrade at RT.
  5. Bizarre trade all around. Miami is stuck with paying $4.5m of Wilson’s guaranteed salary over the next 3 years. Titans are off the hook for that $4.5m but take an extra cap hit of $1.85m this year by trading him because of dead cap from his signing bonus. Titans now have only $8m in cap space.
  6. Geez. Wouldn’t it have been better for Titans to just keep him on the roster than take a $5m cap hit trading him for a swap of 7th round picks? It’s not like Tennessee has a lot of cap room.
  7. Yep. RT, pass rusher, and Tight End are what I’d spend money on this offseason. The other needs I’d fill in with low priced vets and draft picks.
  8. I hear you, but I just can’t see them gambling on a new Right Tackle when the passing game and Josh just put up franchise records. Yes, the Diggs addition was a huge part of that but so was better pass protection. Letting your Right Tackle walk over $3-4m in one year could turn out to be a huge mistake.
  9. I think the Bills will consider tagging Williams at $13m if they can’t sign him for $8-9m per year. Might be smart to eat the $4m difference to buy a year of stability at RT and not have to commit long term to him. Somebody will give him $12m over 3 years. Young QB’s have no chance with bad OT play.
  10. If Beane couldn’t find a RT at pick 38 (Ford) in the draft a few years ago, I hope he’s not thinking he’s gonna replace Williams with a draft pick this year. Can’t mess around with Right Tackle position. Tag Williams if you have to.
  11. Assuming Lee Smith retires, you’d still need an in-Line Tight End. A Gronk-type fits much better with Knox if we’re not giving up on him and not sure why we would.
  12. I don’t envy Beane this offseason. He’s got a lot of tough decisions to make.
  13. Where do you see 11 centers making more than $11m per year? I see 4 on spotrac. Morse is 5th highest paid. It sucks but the reality is his concussion issues make it really hard to justify him being the 5th highest paid Center when you can’t rely on him being on the field. I think he either takes a pay cut or gets released.
  14. Brown has 24th highest cap for a WR. Before Diggs arrived, he was a low end #1 WR and the contract made sense. Now he’s a 2 at best and Davis showed he’s ready for a bigger role. I’d be pretty surprised if he’s back without a re-structure.
  15. Given our cap situation and need on the Offensive Line, stranger things have happened. Carr had a pretty good year and the guy isn’t exactly mobile. Definitely looking like we could re-make the interior of our OL for a pretty low price.
  16. If Ford could play Right Tackle, this would solve a lot of problems. Could let Williams walk and bringing back Feliciano would be no brainer.
  17. I’m sure the upper echelon Guards will still get good money, but I wouldn’t wanna be a middling Guard in this free agent market. Feliciano will be lucky to get $5m per year with all the Guards who are or will likely be available.
  18. With McBeane saying we need more speed, maybe they plan on playing him closer to the Line of scrimmage. He’s not much smaller than Milano. Then you get Johnson or a high draft pick on the field to improve the team speed.
  19. Well, if we aren’t bringing Milano back, Bills better go out and sign a double digit sack guy. If the LB play is worse, the pass rush has got to be better or the defense will be worse than their mediocre 2020 season.
  20. So Watt will be hitting Arizona’s cap in 2025 for $2.4m. This is the NFL version of Bobby Bonilla.
  21. I’m sure NFL front offices attempt to put something like this together but as you said it’s very hard in football to measure this. Some positions like QB, RB, K, P you probably could come up with replacement level metrics. Definitely Kicker and Punter where their jobs don’t really rely on anybody else and are statistically measurable. Defensive players and Offensive Line would almost be impossible to come up with a replacement level measure.
  22. Good. Hopefully the first of a couple more. Start with your team leaders. He takes a re-structure, it makes it more palatable to others. He’s still a good player
  23. I’d rather spend the money on an upper echelon Tight End than a Guard. I think that’ll move the needle more for this offense.
