  1. Beane typically out-thinks himself and gets too cute trying to marry BPA and need in the first 2 rounds. He’s more than offset that with the josh pick and that he typically nails the 4th through 6th rounds. Trade up to 17 or 18 with one of our 2nd’s if one of your top 10-12 players is still left regardless of position.
  2. Cook and our 1st for Parsons.
  3. I think Beane kills the 4th, 5th, and 6th rounds. Let him cook with those 7 picks and fill the roster with good depth and potential starters. To me, picks 30, 56, and 62 needs to produce 1 or 2 studs regardless of position. Go up to the teens and get a dude like Jihaad Campbell. We need studs regardless of position. Beane tends to try a little too hard to marry need and BPA with his 1st and 2nd round picks.
  4. I got no problems with Cook’s stance. This is his one and only chance for a huge deal, but Beane still holds most of the cards. Holding out will not help Cook get a bigger contract. If I’m Beane, I agree to let Cook hit free agency next year if he’s a good soldier this year and doesn’t hold out.
  5. Bills hold most of the cards here. I’m sure Beane is cool letting Cook play out this year then letting him hit free agency since paying RB’s is not a winning strategy. And in a RB heavy draft, I’m sure Beane would also happily take a 2nd rounder this year and find his replacement in a good draft for RB’s.
  6. Maybe Dallas swaps their 1st for ours if Jeanty gets taken before pick 12. Cowboys are desperate for a big splash. Bills get a stud on defense at pick 12 and draft Cooks replacement with one of our 2nd rounders.
  7. Pats are losing their minds. A 31/32 year old WR who tore his ACL 5 months ago and whose game relies on quickness in and out of his cuts is a horrible bet. Oh and he’s a distraction waiting to happen.
  8. If Milano is taking a paycut, not sure how Knox isn’t next. $10m is a huge over-pay for Knox’s production.
  9. Signing 2 guys who both have 6 game suspensions is bizarre to say the least, but it’s a long season and it might be nice to have 2 rested vet linemen for the back half of the season.
  10. He’s not getting more than $18m per year or somebody would most likely trade something to GB for his contract. Since he played so little last year you could structure a contract heavy on incentives similar to Bosa.
  11. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/green-bay-packers/news/green-bay-packers-get-major-update-jaire-alexanders-future/4a261bb730664ef723490db3 If Alexander gets cut, I could see Beane striking quickly.
  12. No idea how 5 draft picks make this roster much less 10.
  13. True. I guess it’s asking too much for these podcasters to do 5 minutes of research to find out Coleman’s Head Coach and GM called him out for not being same player after the injury.
  14. I am actually surprised the Bills came to an agreement with 2 players the first day of the tampering period. Shows McBeane must’ve really wanted Palmer and Hoecht.
  15. Kind of bizarre that he goes on some podcast and gets slobbered over how mature he was dealing with his injury when McBeane have publicly stated the opposite. Coleman had every opportunity to correct the podcasters and say he had some growing up to do but instead took their praise in stride. Shows a lack of maturity on Coleman’s part and lack of any prep work by the podcasters.
  16. Will be nice to have a 270 pounder that can play in the back 7. Tired of watching our undersized linebackers and DB’s getting injured all the time trying to take on bigger players.
  17. don’t be cruel.
  18. Cook following his brothers playbook. Threatened a holdout after year 3 which resulted in a 5 year $63m deal. He got cut 3 years later and was washed up after his 6th year in League. I don’t blame Cook for wanting as much as he can get right now. A Running Backs shelf life is extremely short. If everyone is taking slightly less than market value though, might have to deal him if he’s insisting on $15m per year. I’m sure Dallas would give us a 2nd rounder
  19. Our secondary is extremely weak right now. Gonna have to add at least 1 starting caliber DB in free agency. I think we go D Line in the draft.
  20. I’m with you but not many fans understand the cap and even astute ones like some on this message board think the cap restricts you from signing people. Heck even on mcafee show the other day they put up a screen showing everyone’s cap space and tried to guess what free agents were going where based on who has the most cap space.
  21. Yes, but Beane always operates on a pay as you go method in terms of restructures. No need to create cap space until you need it. It also helps him manage free agency expectations from both the fans and agents. If your showing your up against the cap, fans can’t cry as loudly about not bringing in free agents and agents can’t try to bend you over as much in negotiations.
  22. Millers situation is the only thing that needs to be settled for Bills to be cap compliant by march 12th. I assume any other cuts would’ve already happened as Beane likes to do right by his players to not screw them over before teams start committing their money to players on Monday.
  23. That’s probably an upgrade for seattle if they sign darnold.
  24. not a huge epenesa fan, but good luck finding a 25 year old Defensive end as good as Epenesa for $5m.
  25. Von is enough to get us under the cap by next week. Then Beane historically likes to only free up cap space when he needs to in order to sign players so it looks like we can’t do anything until we do. Probably a smart negotiation strategy with agents.
