  1. Your belief system clearly stems from a few core principles: Complain often, tell people they are stupid and never admit that you are wrong.
  2. Only intolerant of Christian-sect beliefs that conflict with universal human rights. I'd say the Jesus would find some so-called Christian beliefs intolerable, or at least a bit upset that intolerance is conducted in His name. It's a good bet there is a longer list of Muslim conflicts than Christian. I'm sure some Orthodox Jewish beliefs could rival some Christian-sects. Now back to Tebow. I think it's amusing that so many people take the Tebow-ribbing so personally, as if they're itching for a fight.
  3. You mean YOUR belief system (hence, you make my point). My Mom happens to be a protestant minister, and I can safely say there are sharp disagreements on many key issues even among so-called Protestants (not even taking on differences with Catholics, Evangelicals, the Amish, Eastern Orthodox, etc). Even if you take a quick look over religious history (hell, even the last 100 years), and it's amazing how people can get so upset about who is right and wrong about basic issues. And you gall to accuse me of not understanding the Christian belief system . . . But I will give you this chance: So, what IS the Christian Belief System?
  4. Ah, guess I'll have to wait for the sign.
  5. Oh, God, here we go . . . I wonder how many would feel the same way if his devotion were to Allah. It's not the prayer, it's the sanctimony. Moreover, I can't help ask when a player thanks God for the win, "What does that mean?" Is it "God's Will" when you lose and/or flat-out suck (Looking at you Timmy)? [That should stir the hornet's nest]
  6. That was all before their Feb 2009 Free Agency. The careers afterward . . . - Warner signed a huge two-year contract, played OK in 09-10, led Cards to the playoffs, got crushed by GB and then he retired. - Cassell was franchised by Pats(for $14M!), then traded to KC (6yr-$62M!). Not too good in 09-10, very good 10-11, kinda blows now. - Leftwich - I wouldn't exactly credit him with Super Bowl wins. Signed and then benched by Tampa Bay. - I'm not sure we need to go through the rest of the list to make the point.
  7. I'd like to say yes, but I believe the Steelers are #2, and a good argument can be made for the Patriots at #3 (yeah, I know the Bills beat them). How I see it (based on neutral site game): (I think GB is only consensus slot, and could make a good case for #2 through #5). 1. Green Bay 2. Pittsburgh 3. New England 4. Buffalo 5. San Francisco Then I think you could flip a coin for the rest of the Top 10. - Detroit - Giants - Jets - Bengals - Texans
  8. Might want to pin that thread whenever the Bills sign or draft a player. (Someone should find the Fred Jackson signing). Anyway, this was my favorite part -- Safe to say that none of these QBs have had success since RF signed with the Bills. Here's the rankings he cited: (Scouts.Com) Free Agent QB Rankings Pos Pos Rank Rating Name Type Yr Ht/Wt College 2008 Team Signed Team QB 1 Kurt Warner UFA 11 6-2/222 Northern Iowa Arizona QB 2 Matt Cassel Fran. 4 6-5/225 USC New England New England QB 3 Kerry Collins UFA 14 6-5/245 Penn State Tennessee Tennessee QB 4 Jeff Garcia UFA 10 6-1/205 San Jose State Tampa Bay QB 5 J.T. 9. I think over-officious jerk was a good description for this dribble. Lesson: It's impossible to reason with the unreasonable.
  10. But it looks like Orakpo was killing the Right side.
  11. No way could he go for a FG. May as well admit to your team that you care more about yourself, and the fans would NEVER forgive him.
  12. Yeah, that's it, Straw Man. You may want to live an inflexible world that dictates that rules are rules and human intellect and problem solving play no part in our society, but I believe that common sense could play a part in finding an equitable solution (for ex., make them forfeit a game, and see were it goes from there; the school has to lose some privilege, pay a fine, etc. any solution whereby the players themselves don't bear the full brunt, that's not why we have sports in the first place). Sorry if that taxes your brain. If Holland forfeits a win and both teams are 14-2, how does that hurt the other team? What is the tie-breaker? Why should the other school advance when they are not the superior team? Settle it on the field. If the other teams wins a tie-breaker, then Holland is out. If Holland wins the tie-breaker, then they move on and the other team really has no reason to complain. You could still impose a fine or whatever on Holland but the players themselves win or lose on the field.
  13. So, Holland would not advance if they forfeit a win? What is the tiebreaker? Settle it on the field, not in court.
  14. That will teach those girls. We need a rigid society that will not bend to common sense. Good lesson there.
  15. I thought Cooley would play this week. Guess not. Cooley Done for the Year Fitz & Wonderlic
  16. Off the top of my head: Lonesome Dove and Lord of the Rings
  17. We'll never know the exact reason why, but he's either crazy, conducting the world's longest running gag or is simply a crank who craves attention.
  18. I cringe when people say a player is a "can't miss" -- but Luck is pretty close. Like with Peyton Manning, there are some things you just cannot teach. Without Luck, Stanford wouldn't be in the Top 25, let alone in the Top 10. See Indy without Manning.
  19. P.S. - See Jim Kelly (my all-time favorite player) like a few dozen times . . .
  20. On the road against a decent team that was desperate for a win and we lost the game late. I'd say there were more than a few positives.
  21. I was about to write about all the reasons you are dead wrong, but I figured that would be a waste of time. Instead I'll simply say, "Grow a pair."
  22. Wow, the Bills won already? What was the final score? Any other useful information from the future?
