Lamar Jackson Lining Up at Other Positions During Practice
Max Fischer replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My eyeball test says he's plenty big for a WR, as anyone who has seen him take on SEC and ACC defenses. Any WR would be jealous of his yards after contact. Let me provide additional facts: Over three seasons, Lamar Jackson ran the ball 655 times (Saquon Barkley: 671), attempted 619 passes and was sacked over 100 times yet he didn't miss ONE game (and hard to find where he missed any significant snaps). That's more than tough enough to play WR. Having said that, I also think he would be a very good QB who will strike fear into defenses. -

Lamar Jackson is 6'3" 216 - he's bigger and faster than most WRs and had more rushes than most SEC/ACC running backs without ever missing a game to injury. I think he has the body to withstand the punishment. Kapernick took his team to the super bowl and then got black balled. -

Hahaha. Yes, all the problems started in the 1964. You uncovered the conspiracy, congratulations! Everything was fine before then and all went to hell afterward — as planned. Now let’s confirm the moon landing didn’t happen. -
This is not correct, at all. I know many people who you would (ignorantly) consider "hedonist" who have never had hint of mental illness or depression. On the other hand, I've known more than a few who suffer from depression who do not embrace life.

I disagree with that correlation (and I hope you as well). So if you don't "emote" it's more likely you have a greater understanding of civics, politics and current affairs? I'd say it's much more likely the opposite is true. However, I do believe that people all across the spectrum should utilize a wider array of information and resources; and a LOT more understanding as to WHY people protest. -

Perhaps, and the current White House has done wonders to lower the bar to depths not known possible. -

“Dont understand”? You mean, there should be a test to determine if you should have an opinion? I mean, before you know it, we’ll elect some kind of reality TV star. So so what percentage of people in sport would you say know enough about a subject matter? Should we give them the right to expresss their opinion? -

Perhaps it's because you don't like what they have to say about racial injustice? I'm not trying to start a fight, genuinely curious. Personally, if someone wants to make a statement that has zero effect on what they do on the field, it's perfectly cool with me. Of course not, you don't have to listen or watch what anyone does off the field. And if you don't like what they say, then you could express that opinion and/or not take action, like not watching them perform. My problem is that the NFL (and other leagues) want to dictate what is done or said off the field and/or purposely mischaracterizing the nature of what is said. All in all, I still don't see how any of this has effected the product of the game itself. -

Sports are very American, but so are politics, racial discord and the First Amendment. However, I fail to see how political and racial agendas have effected the product on the field, court, rink, wherever. Nor do I ever see how you can separate the athlete from their personal and political views. To me, that wouldn't be American at all. Do we think less of Jackie Robinson and all those who fought to integrate sports? What about the efforts to push back on apartheid? Would Ali be Ali without his political and social views? Frankly, I don't see what is so objectionable. The fact that athletes have opinions or what they say? It would be tragic to our nation if we simply tell anyone they have no right to express an opinion because we find it personally tiresome, objectionable, contrary to your beliefs, etc. -

To me, "Impractical Jokers" is easily one of the worst shows ever created. It's cringeworthy bad. Will check out the other shows. -

My favorite new show is Killing Eve on BBC America (all 8 episodes are On Demand). Highly recommend. Full of surprises, well-written, great characters and acting. Eve's life as a spy is not adding up to what she had hoped it would be when she started. She is a bored, very smart, MI5 security officer who is very desk-bound. Villanelle is a very talented killer, mercurial in mood, who clings to the luxuries of her job. Eve and Villanelle go head to head in a fierce game of cat and mouse, each woman equally obsessed with the other as Eve is tasked with hunting down the psychopathic assassin.
