  1. Ok, I’ll go,there, if you don’t see a significant improvement in all phases of the offense from 2018 to 2019, and even from the first half to the second half of 2019, then you either are a troll, an irrational crusader against Daboll (and likely McDermott) and/or you really don’t understand the game. NOW it’s not worth engaging you.
  2. if you don’t see the difference between 2018 and 2019 offenses then it’s probably not worth the debate.
  3. Really, 0% chance? Accomplishments: - Helped turn Allen into a competent, improving QB. Allen is an entirely new QB. - Created a new offense out of whole cloth with 9 new starters. Including three rookies. That is not easy. - Daboll has demonstrated he can adapt and improve. - He has created decent game plans that have not been well-excuted. - Daboll continues to add new wrinkles each week. Next season: - Offense should return every starter but Spain with possible improvement at RT (assuming goes to G) - The offense will have entire season and an additional off-season. Chance to massage and add to the playbook. - Still a chance to add weapons at WR and RB as well as develop Knox, Sweeney and Singletary. - Allen has demonstrated he could improve even more and even if 10% better this team could put up a lot more points under Daboll.
  4. As you said, not even the same Bills offense and the defense is much better. The real problem is the Ravens are much better and while the Bills played them well, I think KC is a better matchup anyway.
  5. Daboll is a much better OC than most Bills fans believe. Each coach gets a fair amount of deserved criticism but Daboll should get much more credit for this years success than he’s received. If Daboll stays, I firmly believe that next season’s team will average over 25 points a game.
  6. On this one, take the “L”, Dude.
  7. Well it's because everyone sucks. Allen has obviously reached his ceiling; at 21, Edmunds hasn't made a Pro Bowl; the team chooses not to have a superstar opposite Tre White; they never practice special teams; the coaches don't watch tape; the team lacks a true #1 WR; and they need a new center. Those are the positives . . .
  8. I’m sure she’s not at all crazy. ?
  9. There is no comment to stand by if you don’t put up a single QB. It’s easy to chirp from the cheap seats if you won’t make your case. Agree. I wonder how Allen performs on the Ravens and Chiefs; and vice versa. Scheme and roster mean a lot but it’s an exercise to think about how Allen stacks up at this point.
  10. Don't be obtuse, of course the Bills are not swapping QBs, but the questions it puts Buffalo's QB situation in perspective.
  11. IMO, of the realistic outcomes, the Bills match up best with Houston. I think Buffalo can slow the Texans offense and their defense is just OK. The Titans' defense is pretty decent and I think the Titans running game could give the Bills fits. The Chiefs are by far the worst match up. The defense isn't that great but I think the Bills would have problems containing their offense.
  12. Ok, so what are the "better options?" You say there are "a lot" but I still don't see your counter argument.
  13. The Lamar / Watson debate seems to be a coin flip. Personally I think Lamar has staying power and Watson is much more hit/miss. But that may because I was a big Lamar booster during the draft. Having said that, I still think Allen has the tools to have the more productive career.
  14. that’s fair. I disagree but it can go both ways. Yet you don’t make your case. Step up dude.
  15. Yet you are stating as fact the plays will not work when it work before. That makes no sense. Yes, you are angry they lost and want to lash out and call for the firing of all the coaches but you are simply irrational. Grow up.
  16. I think "clearly" is certainly debatable. Of course it is, it helps level set all the bitching.
  17. Geez, Meatloaf, too much coffee? So, all the Bills needed to do was throw another 53yard TD? That's brilliant. Of course, a few good runs set up that touchdown but I guess that doesn't matter.
  18. Maybe, but I don't believe he's clearly better than Josh Allen.
  19. Say again?
  20. I think a helpful way to evaluate Josh Allen, his progress to date and his potential for the next few years is to determine which QBs you would swap for right now. My list: 1. Mahomes 2. Lamar Jackson 3. Russell Wilson That's probably it. Yes, Brady, Brees and Rodgers are great but they are 42, 40 and 36. With Josh, I believe the Bills are in a pretty good spot at QB. He "might" not get any better but over the past two season there is a lot of evidence he will continue to improve. No idea if he will lead the Bills to a Super Bowl over the next three years but I like our chances with Josh than any other QB but the three above.
  21. The argument that Buffalo went "into a shell" is at best inconclusive. They had TWO possessions win the lead. Neither were that much different than all the other possessions beforehand.
  22. I don't believe the grumbling about First Down play calling is supported by what actually happened. Source: Plays As you can see below, of the 22 plays on 1st down the Bills ran Singletary eight times, and 5 of those sets resulted in a 1st down. Not every situation is the same but using the information below there is a good deal of variety in the first down play calling, all of which resulted in varying amount of success. As for the two "conservative" first two possessions with a 17-13 lead: with the relative success of running Singletary on 1st down, especially compared to all other first down plays, it's not unreasonable to expect a similar rate of success. The initial possession was midway through the 3rd quarter, with plenty of game to go. I don't think there is evidence this was a "conservative" play, as it wasn't much different from the rest of the game and almost resulted in a first down. Again, on the next possession at the beginning of the 4th, it was a handoff out of the shotgun, a play the Bills have had just as much success as a pass play. It didn't work, but it was hardly "conservative" play calling. 1 - Singletary run for 7 yards (Set resulted in a 1st down) 2 - Brown 3 on sweep (FG) 3 - DS 7 yards (1st) 4 - 14 yards to Beasley (1st) 5 - Incomplete to Knox (punt) 6 - DS 1 yard (punt) 7 - Incomplete to Beasley (punt) 8 - Incomplete to Brown (1st) 9 - Pass to Beasley 9 yards (1st) 10 - Goal line (TD on second down) Second Half 11 - Pass 28 yards to Beasley (1st) 12 - Pass - Sacked -12 yards (punt) 13 - 1 yard DS (1st) 14 - Minus 3 DS (TD) 15 - DS 4 yards - Punt 16 - DS one yard - Punt 17 - DS no gain - 1st 18 - Incomplete Brown (1st) 19 - Allen 11 yard run (1st) 20 - Deep incomplete to Foster (1st) 21 - Allen 8 yard run (penalty) 21 - Pass 25 yards to Beasley (1st) 22 - Allen run loses one yard (end game)
  23. Looks like someone is set firmly in denial.
  24. I don’t think anyone would call Belichick conservative but they have dominated the league on dink and dunk, moving the chains. Once the Bills took the lead they had two possessions. The first was in the 3rd when Patriots barely stopped Allen on third down run and the other they indeed attempted two long passes. One turned into a sack and the other didn’t connect. Personally, I would have preferred a series of short plays to get first downs but neither possession could be characterized as “sitting on the lead” in the 3rd quarter and early in the 4th.
