  1. I can see the similarities, but never would have come up with analogy, especially since I thought GOT's last few episodes seemed awfully rushed for all the plot points to come together. On the other hand, to me, WM was perfectly paced to a very satisfying conclusion. I hope there is a 2nd season but would understand if they decide against.
  2. Wasn't going to watch since I found the graphic novel and movie underwhelming. However, after a few trustworthy recommendations I'm glad I did. It's very well written, complex and thought provoking. I liked everything about it.
  3. Reasons I don’t really like The Mandalorian. - Poor “plot.” Baby Yoda is not much more than a McGuffin; a reason to place the Mandalorian in different settings. - Overall the scripts felt like they were made up on the fly by middle school boys. “What next?” “You know what would be cool . . .” - As many have noted, it’s basically a space western. However, it’s like a dull good guys vs bad guys 1950s tv show. Save the village, prison break, etc. - The Mandalorian is a naive idiot. How many times can he be double-crossed? - Each episode is simplistic. Get into situation, blast your way out of it. How did the characters survive so long without getting killed? - It was Disney safe without emotion, 2D characters with zero surprises. The worst Star Trek episodes had more depth - Especially poor when compared Watchman (which blew me away).
  4. Didn’t know Bumble was a thing. I’m quite married but If I wasn’t, it would be amazing to get matched up within Stone. Some might find her intimidating but bet she’s very interesting.
  5. Ok, I’ll go,there, if you don’t see a significant improvement in all phases of the offense from 2018 to 2019, and even from the first half to the second half of 2019, then you either are a troll, an irrational crusader against Daboll (and likely McDermott) and/or you really don’t understand the game. NOW it’s not worth engaging you.
  6. if you don’t see the difference between 2018 and 2019 offenses then it’s probably not worth the debate.
  7. Really, 0% chance? Accomplishments: - Helped turn Allen into a competent, improving QB. Allen is an entirely new QB. - Created a new offense out of whole cloth with 9 new starters. Including three rookies. That is not easy. - Daboll has demonstrated he can adapt and improve. - He has created decent game plans that have not been well-excuted. - Daboll continues to add new wrinkles each week. Next season: - Offense should return every starter but Spain with possible improvement at RT (assuming goes to G) - The offense will have entire season and an additional off-season. Chance to massage and add to the playbook. - Still a chance to add weapons at WR and RB as well as develop Knox, Sweeney and Singletary. - Allen has demonstrated he could improve even more and even if 10% better this team could put up a lot more points under Daboll.
  8. As you said, not even the same Bills offense and the defense is much better. The real problem is the Ravens are much better and while the Bills played them well, I think KC is a better matchup anyway.
  9. Daboll is a much better OC than most Bills fans believe. Each coach gets a fair amount of deserved criticism but Daboll should get much more credit for this years success than he’s received. If Daboll stays, I firmly believe that next season’s team will average over 25 points a game.
  10. Well it's because everyone sucks. Allen has obviously reached his ceiling; at 21, Edmunds hasn't made a Pro Bowl; the team chooses not to have a superstar opposite Tre White; they never practice special teams; the coaches don't watch tape; the team lacks a true #1 WR; and they need a new center. Those are the positives . . .
  11. There is no comment to stand by if you don’t put up a single QB. It’s easy to chirp from the cheap seats if you won’t make your case. Agree. I wonder how Allen performs on the Ravens and Chiefs; and vice versa. Scheme and roster mean a lot but it’s an exercise to think about how Allen stacks up at this point.
  12. Don't be obtuse, of course the Bills are not swapping QBs, but the questions it puts Buffalo's QB situation in perspective.
  13. IMO, of the realistic outcomes, the Bills match up best with Houston. I think Buffalo can slow the Texans offense and their defense is just OK. The Titans' defense is pretty decent and I think the Titans running game could give the Bills fits. The Chiefs are by far the worst match up. The defense isn't that great but I think the Bills would have problems containing their offense.
  14. Ok, so what are the "better options?" You say there are "a lot" but I still don't see your counter argument.
  15. The Lamar / Watson debate seems to be a coin flip. Personally I think Lamar has staying power and Watson is much more hit/miss. But that may because I was a big Lamar booster during the draft. Having said that, I still think Allen has the tools to have the more productive career.
  16. that’s fair. I disagree but it can go both ways. Yet you don’t make your case. Step up dude.
  17. Yet you are stating as fact the plays will not work when it work before. That makes no sense. Yes, you are angry they lost and want to lash out and call for the firing of all the coaches but you are simply irrational. Grow up.
  18. I think "clearly" is certainly debatable. Of course it is, it helps level set all the bitching.
  19. Geez, Meatloaf, too much coffee? So, all the Bills needed to do was throw another 53yard TD? That's brilliant. Of course, a few good runs set up that touchdown but I guess that doesn't matter.
  20. Maybe, but I don't believe he's clearly better than Josh Allen.
  21. I think a helpful way to evaluate Josh Allen, his progress to date and his potential for the next few years is to determine which QBs you would swap for right now. My list: 1. Mahomes 2. Lamar Jackson 3. Russell Wilson That's probably it. Yes, Brady, Brees and Rodgers are great but they are 42, 40 and 36. With Josh, I believe the Bills are in a pretty good spot at QB. He "might" not get any better but over the past two season there is a lot of evidence he will continue to improve. No idea if he will lead the Bills to a Super Bowl over the next three years but I like our chances with Josh than any other QB but the three above.
