Milano and Edmunds OUT against Miami
Max Fischer replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whether it’s pass, run or triple option, in no way, shape or form are Dodson or Klein in the same league as Milano and Edmunds. Don’t fool yourself, Dodson and Klein are a sharp drop off and Fitz or Chan Gailey can take them apart. Bills may need 30 points to win. -

Would You Trade For Zach Ertz?

For a high round pick? Sure. But doubt Philly would do that. Under what scenario would this even be possible? -

How not to protect your blue chip franchise QB

I don't mind Josh Allen run plays, it's what makes him so dangerous; same for Lamar Jackson, Randall Cunningham, etc. However, I believe Daboll deserves criticism for the calling the play that led to the second fumble. It was Josh's fault for fumbling but it was a dumb and unnecessary call at that point of the game.- 107 replies

Love that movie, I think it's incredibly well done and clever. To me, it makes sense but I can see why some wouldn't like it.

Oh, wow, I remember that. Good post.

A work of art -
Fingers crossed. The book was so complex that even if you read the book I can imagine it would hard to follow in a two to three hour movie. A miniseries would be great but likely too expensive.

The character germinated from a NBC commercial but has had a few tweaks. Much less of a stereotypical midwest/southern coach. In some ways I think of Lasso as a cross between Ned Flanders and Sean McDermott. -

I haven't seen Ted Lasso on Apple TV discussed. It's my surprise show/movie of 2020. I put off watching because I assumed it would be a run-of-the-mill "fish out of water" show about an American college football coach hired to manage a English Premier League team. It has all the trappings of dumbed-down "Major League" but I was pleasantly wrong. Jason Sudakis is outstanding as a relentlessly optimistic and good-natured guy whose success is based on his ability to bring out the best in people. That sounds like a annoying CBS sitcom but the show has a great deal of depth, a terrific, well-drawn cast of characters and appears to embrace a somewhat predictable story to toss a few curve balls. I could not help but root for Ted Lasso and liked how they developed each character throughout the show. It's a "feel-good" show based on hope that does not get into hokum. Special shoutout to "Coach Beard" who could join Ted Lasso as an all-time character. Another Apple TV program is "Greyhound" with Tom Hanks, who also wrote it. I'm surprised this compact, tense story about WWII destroyers protecting a convoy hasn't received more attention. I think it's well-done, good visuals and tight storytelling. -
Is anyone else less invested in this season than normal?

It's weird you don't see the irony of asking for "balance" when that's exactly what the movement and players are asking for from our society. -

Of all the things to turn people off to their favorite sport is a movement that asks for equal treatment in society. The horror. -
The looting has been repeatedly condemned by those who support social justice. The raised fist folks were repeatedly condemned by those who support social justice. Police once again use excessive force - excuses and praise from the Right. "Militia" kills two people - excuses and praise from the Right. The Right's vilification of "social justice" is yet another threat to our liberal democratic system.

So far, I think Perry Mason is a solid miniseries. It has a good mystery, well-defined characters, good direction, excellent actors and a setting/cinematography that is character itself. One of the few miniseries where the story kicks up a notch half-way through and I'm only concerned there are too few episodes. Thought this would get more buzz and puzzled by the wishy-washy reviews.
