You and others just won’t accept Edmunds MLB is so much different than any other MLB that you’ve lost all perspective.

In this defense, MLB may be the most difficult position. The principle job appears to be pass protect the middle of the field. That's not easy. Every snap, the MLB must diagnose the play in an instant and be in the right spot to disrupt the offense. IMO, there is a strong correlation between the entire defensive effort and the play of the MLB. Haha. You are doing exactly what you accuse Cover 1.

Logic dictates that Edmunds is playing the way Frazier and McDermott want him to play. He's style/role hasn't changed much in for four seasons. Despite the constant fan meltdowns his coaches continue to praise him, teammates say he's their leader and he's been voted to the Pro Bowl the past two years. Maybe, just maybe, Edmunds is doing what he's supposed to do.

Some folks are going to lose their minds when Edmunds re-signs.

Edmunds controls the middle of the field like few MLBs can. By the time Klein played, the Dolphins were entirely one dimensional.

I don’t understand why fans get upset with predictions. A 11-6 record could happen. I believe it’s unlikely but it’s possible. Predictions can be instructive if the analysis is sound. For example, the offensive line might not gel, the think DB corps could spell doom, the DL does not perform to expectations. Josh’s old habits re-emerge. I’m not saying one or more will happen, but it’s possible. On the other hand, if for example the analysis sites a poor WR corps and bad safeties, then it’s easier to dismiss.

That makes man cave sound better.
