Do you really want a rookie Offensive Coordinator ?
Max Fischer replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
This logic makes little sense. McDermott hired Daboll. You may want to review the history of the Dennison hire. -

Every hired coach is a “gamble.” Which OC candidate is not? Who is most likely to have a productive working relationship with the current staff and coaches? Who is most likely to adapt to the talent on the roster? Who is most likely to have system that can be implemented effectively? There are many great football minds but that’s only one consideration in coaching hires. -

“Bills pass on McDermott and Beane, want a coach and GM with experience.” -

If Dorsey is the guy, I’m in full support. There are other factors as important than OC “experience.” No outside OC will know the players as well, have watched every snap, who understands tendencies, saw what worked and what hasn’t, has the trust of players and coaches, knows the system, etc. IMO, for over a year, the Bills have evaluated Dorsey and their internal staff for just this decision. So far, all the chatter from management, coaches and players point to only one candidate. If there was any doubt about Dorsey’s qualifications, I think the Bills would have hinted that it’s an open process. -
I would give Daboll and big raise and try to keep him

I don't believe there a reason to change, but if change is coming I believe the team is a great position to grow. -

Nope. I feel the same way about Daboll and Frazier. I would not mind seeing them return, but I'm also not worried about replacing them. I believe good staff will want to coach Allen and this defense; and new blood/ideas could help get the team to the next level. -
Employer a spy is a zero sum game. If you employ a spy, you have one less pass rusher or one less pass defender. Allen and Mahomes are two QBs that will kill you either way. As the game went on, I believe the DL did much better job of trying to contain.

Josh Allen is a future HOFer. There I said it...
Max Fischer replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not one for hyperbole but I don't think projecting Allen to the HOF is that much of a stretch. I would say there is a greater probability that Allen is a HOFer than just an above average QB. -
Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
Max Fischer replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm. Jerry's default it a tantrum, that's why most folks don't pay any attention to him. -
Well, Atlanta and Buffalo are cities that have NFL teams. The comparisons seem to end there. McDermott is a top flight coach and is will be around for a very long time.

How many chances does McDermott have left?
Max Fischer replied to Igotbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s a greater chance McDermott is voted in Canton than gets fired. He’ll be around for a long time. -
Divisional round Saturday - Rams at Bucs on NBC

Looks like Tampa has given up. -
The one player who I believe could really make a difference is Harrison Phillips. If he plays very well, I think that has a cascading impact on the rest of the line. On offense, I think it's Rick Bates. He's still the potential weak link, but if his play matches the last few weeks, the offense should be in good shape.

I liked Imus but not Stern. The problem with Imus is that the show lost it’s intelligent, comedic touch. The sketches and gags were very funny for about 10 years and then Imus got nasty and bitter. It was no longer well written, just a crank behind the mic. The show’s downfall was almost predictable. However, I still have a smile when I remember the vast cast of hilarious characters and skits they created. The now broadcasting legend, Mike Breen, was the sports guy for years. Breen is a seriously funny dude who had many classic bits. It may not sound funny, but in one bit he would give a straight report on a Division 3 Volleyball game as the only news the morning after the Super Bowl.

Divisional Round: Buffalo at KC Sunday at 6:30

I mean, you get to live in London, so . . . -
IMO, Cincy is at least a step below KC, the Bengals DEF is suspect and I'd rather have Bills at home. Fairly moot as there is little chance KC loses to Pittsburgh.

Could be more entertaining. Won’t think about changes and how you remembered the book. I believe it’s fairly easy to follow along.
