If Trump loses and refuses to leave
Bob in Mich replied to Kemp's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This MI state rep is way out of line here, imo. I believe she has been hit with loads of vile threats since she was in Rudy’s MI hearing. I believe those are the people who she is angry with. In her position however she should be either not responding at all or looking to de-escalate -
Fraud or no fraud? that is the question...

Lenny, we have witnessed the outrage and cries of oppression over requests to just wear masks. Telling people that they could not leave their homes in order to protest government actions would have not gone over well. In my opinion, that is the chief reason government officials did not try to prohibit protests. It wouldn’t have worked and the required attempted controlling measures would have made riots much more violent -

That is certainly a valid point. I guess I was hoping to point out to Trump supporters, that there are likely similar suspicious happenings in all states, not just the states that Trump is currently targeting. And, also to highlight the foolishness in lobbying for flipping states based on suspicious video clips. I agree that the Biden team has better things to do -

As much as we all would like to believe otherwise, it occurs to me that our elections have always had some minor flaws. There are enough political zealots on both sides that may try to slant the election for their candidate, that to think otherwise may be naive. Oversight and recounts keep this cheating from becoming very widespread, imo. It seems that this election was no different. Going through the process with a fine tooth comb will always turn up a few suspicious happenings and maybe even some minor ‘miscounted ballots’. The Trump team has taken that fine comb to the swing states that they wish to reverse from current counts. I believe similar suspicions could be cast upon most any state, especially when the suspicion needn’t be tied tightly to the truth. Without seeming to advocate for an election re-do, shouldn’t the left point up suspicious happenings in FL and say, TX? If all that is needed to throw out or flip a state’s electoral votes is suspicion, I am confident taking that same comb to those states would cast sufficient similar suspicion to flip those, is it 67, electoral votes to Biden. Thoughts? -

Wait, you all are forgetting about Hunter. Following the existing model, the plan should be to groom Hunter to be our future leader, no? -

Good post. I tried asking cult members years ago, ‘can anyone that criticizes Trump remain a credible person in your eyes?’ I pointed out that anyone that dares to say anything against the leader is immediately discredited by the cult. Given that, it is impossible for anyone whose opinion matters to cult members, to criticize the leader. As soon as anyone does, they are portrayed as deep state or pedo or traitor or etc - certainly no one to listen to. -

Haven’t you heard that Joe is just a weak old shell of a man, sort like Theoden in LOR before Gandolf saved him? It all depends on what wormtongues AOC, Soros, and Kamala want! Sheesh, you need to pay better attention to Hannity and Laura Lol -

Trump has yet to even uncap his Sharpie. I would be awfully hesitant to crow about a Biden win until Trump concedes. Trump has proven he will try to bend reality if he needs to. Also, where is Bill Barr? I honestly expected him to step forward and claim Trump may be right about voting irregularities, giving legitimacy to questioning the results. Guess we will see

We drafted him out of Syracuse, wasn’t it? Seriously, he didn’t want an NFL kicking job in Buffalo? I never heard that story

Remember that rookie kicker Gary Anderson that we cut because we lost patience? Give him some time.

If Trump loses and refuses to leave

Roberts still only has one vote, right? Aside from Roberts, there will be 3 Trump appointees and, what, 2 other Conservative Justices? One thing has always bothered me about Trump ‘hires’. We know from the tell-all books that he demands loyalty in his people. Seems all but certain that anyone he has ‘hired’ has pledged some level of loyalty or at least agreement with Trump on key issues, like favoring him in the election. -

Appreciate the reply. I don’t think the Senate comes into the discussion, short another impeachment. They have shown no appetite to go against Trump. The Supreme Court May eventually enter into it but for a long time it will be in dispute. I have been surprised by how many Republicans don’t see Bill Barr as doing anything politically slanted up to this point. They claim the Mueller investigation found nothing largely owing to Barr, imo. The Flynn and Stone case interference is rationalized by Republicans, because of Barr’s statements too. I hope you are correct but I think Barr is that AG that Trump always wanted...a protector -

...but what if Barr agrees with Trump’s claim that he only lost because of possible voting irregularities ? That is the cover Trump needs to give his claim legitimacy. It appears to many, including me, that Barr has been finding a way to favor Trump’s causes. This is Trump’s number one cause. So asking directly, will he have support of average Republicans if Barr claims we need to look into voting irregularities? -

What if Trump claims it was rigged and then Bill Barr states that there may have been irregularities that should be investigated? Does that change things as far as kicking Trump out if he loses? -

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Long thread Who administers these tests for covid? Are league officials in charge of the tests or are team officials? I ask because it seems there could be a lot of various pressures put on officials to report favorable results. Lol. Too conspiratorial? -

DR has become obsessed and bullied the crap out of anyone that wouldn’t come around to his point of view. His initial reasoned approach would eventually turn to constant insults if you didn’t agree with his interpretations. Not sure how any regulars could miss that. I too had hoped some of the regulars would help bring him back in line when he harassed the crap out of me for at least 6 months. If that help was attempted by any poster, I did not see it. The only solution offered up was the ignore function. As I explained however he would hijack every one of my discussions with his asshat or similar insult tirades. I recall complaining publicly (but not to mods) that he had made the board unusable for me. DR is a bright guy and has a lot to offer the discussions. However he has driven away many posters and stymied the discussion way too many times. I pleaded with the guy to please leave me alone so that I could converse with others but he repeatedly refused. His insult crusades were over the top, imo
