I don't think I ever really went back to all the Steelers SB victories. But whatever you say. The thing everyone here seems to forget is our #1 defense. and your what 24th ranked offense? I have not heard much except for special teams. You may have forgotten about Randel el. Who is a pretty good returner in his own right. We do have some injured ST players right now who hurt us, but even if you get the ball on our 45. How are you going to get any further? I look for a close game even with some of our 2nd/3rd stringers.

Getting ribbed is one thing. Spilling beer using foul language. getting in someones face is something completly different. I live in WI, so I go to every steeler game in Lambeau and in the inflatable toilet (Metrodome). Green bay fans have been respectable at every game I have been at. MN fans were garbage. My son and I were leaving a hockey game (My son was wearing his penguin Uniform) He was 9 at the time. A car full of morons yells out as we are walking by. Penguins suck and some other tasteless things. Too bad The light turned red and they were stuck in their car as walked up to them and explained to them how they SHOULD act in front of a child. When it is all said and done, it is just a game. (Did I just say that??)

I'm sorry. Maybe I should draw pictures for you. The post is started by saying that Bills fans are more loyal and more knowledgable. Then many other posters reply that the steelers WILL be at the game even though it is a essentially meaningless game for them. Seems funny how more knowledgable and loyal fans have a hard time keeping the steeler nation out of "their" building... I know it might be getting close to "nap time" but please try to keep up...

Funny, most of yinz KNOW we will be there in force like we are at EVERY away game anywhere. Yet you still try to rip us. Whatever floats your boat... Sorry Todd didn't mean to get all uncool and heavy on you. You were just one of many quotes about Ben that hits a sore spot. I think we will do everything we can to sign Plax. I would think that would mean we would have to let Bell go, but he has been injured so often if I had to pick. I would definetly choose Plax. Bell is one hell of a punisher when he is healthy, but the WHEN is the big question mark. If we don't you will have quite a bidding war with the Ratbirds I'm afraid...

Well again... You will have to play 2 more games to even have the HOPE of seeing us in the playoffs. and if you like (Since you personally have been SO hospitable so far) I will come back after our first playoff game to tell you how it went..

Here let me add to this what I have heard all season... First. Parcells will throw everything at him and he will crumble... WRONG Oh, Bellichek will figure out how to rattle him... WRONG Andy Reid... Now ANDY Reid will shut him down... Wrong again Keebler Oh, Washington has the #1 Pass defense He will lose there... Guess again Jax will do him in. It is thier playoff game! Win again... The Jets have the least points scored against them all year. THEY will shut him down... Nope. Baltimore is playing for their playoff lives. Ben will be lucky to make it out alive... Well, except for the cheap shot. He wins again... But you keep on stating what you think...

That may be because you play a different "style" of football. steelers run the ball down your throat eat up the clock and let the defense do their job. 14-1 is 14-1 no matter HOW you look at it. So you throw more TD's. You win by 7 or you win by 27. Who cares. I know you can only play who you play, but the teams you played earlier this season you could've beaten... Why didn't you?

Puhleeeese... Should I go into what was the Iggles winning pct when we played them? How about the Pats or the Jets? And if memory serves me correctly. We did beat the Giants on the road... So there pct did go down even MORE. Besides I don't have to came back here and say "we Weren't trying" because all of you guys are saying it for me already...

Bytor2112 (nice name BTW. or Cygnus-x-1) THat is why I don't think Cowher wil pull back too much in this game. He haas been riding his team on the back of the "no respect" even though we knock off every contender we have faced. He will keep his team up. We had our "trap game" against the giants. We prevailed and I think we will try to continue that on Sunday. But we shall see...

Funny... I have heard this all before. Jets fans came and went. Iggles, Pats, (actually Pats fans NEVER go away, it's like they don't have thier own home). The rookie QB will falter. You are not dominationg teams, blah, blah, blah. This IS steeler football at it's finest. You smash mouth the running game. Eat up T.O.P and the defense foces it's will against the opposing offense. again, your team has "dominated" teams with a combined win pct of .331. Keep things a bit in perspective. Tommy was our starting QB at the begining of the season. He is quite capable of backing up Big Ben.

Hmmm Funny. We've shut down 3 of those 4 RB's ourselves. Also Jamal Lewis twice. Plus we have run against the Ravens, Redskins, Patriots AND Iggles. I've heard it every week. Just a little hint for you all... It is NOT the RB you have to worry about. It's the OL! Thanks, Gant I was going to point that out as well. As well as the 13-0 as a starter. Like I staed earlier. Would you rather have a QB throuw 49+ TD's and be a #3, Or have a qb with a passer rating of 95.3 and 13-0... He has the ability to COME back, and the ability to win! all I care about Johninminn. Steelernation is in MANY stadiums. We have many fans that take the 12th man out of the equation. Don't be surprised to see many terrible towels waving this Sunday... Oh, come on now... I am assuming everybody here is talking about the playoffs. Did you forget when the steelers BEAT the patroits in heinz field? Farroir is one HELL of a LB. Porter has ALWAYS been good. Bell will be back and ready for action. And Haggens or Harrison have been playing great! No one is "overachieving" Hoke is playing great right now, but he has been CONSITENTLY doing that since week 8. I think that is a little long to be streaking! I think only OE running back has gotten over 100 yards against us ALL YEAR! That includes a list like Jamal Lewis Twice, Portis, Rudi Johnson, Curtis Martin, Westbrook, Fred Taylor and Tikki Barber. I would not count on your running game. You can try to beat us through the air. we may be weak in the middle of the field. If bledsoe has time to get the pass off. Polamalu will be blitzing on occasion. One think Lebau can do is rattle a QB.

Why do you guys say this, but when it comes to the steelers you think you will just breeze by us because we will be resting? I think this Sunday you should be worring about how to stop Duce and the rest of the running game and figuring out how to score on our defense without getting Bledsoe killed. as far as the Colts go. How in the hell does a QB throw a record 49 TD's in a season with one game to go, and their team is a #3 seed? Defense baby! If the Colts make it out of the first round, they will be going back to their achellies (sp) heel. Patsy land, to take on those damn patsies. It won't be pretty... JMHO though...

Thanks, guys. Yinz aren't so bad yourselfs. The lot of ya. Although reading these threads. It must REALLY suck to have to be scoreboard watching the last week of the season. I would just worry about YOUR team. the rest will be what it is. That got me thinking. I don't think the steelers will come at you all that much offensively or defensively. In case you DO make it in. We want to have lots left in our bag of tricks. You will have to shot your wad just to get in there.
