Sorry, who was the 4th choice?...How about-i didn't even know the guy we took was rated for the first round...or, are you sure that's the correct weight of the guy we just drafted...did we just draft another high effort, white DE...i can't wait until the next year for our draft pick to start...

...congrats

um, apologies firstly, but i think he's dating US Olympic swimmer Mystie Hymen. Can't wait for that marriage.

Who the hell is Jon Alston-LB Stanford?

If we run a cover 2, similar to the Tampa defense, is this kid a "potential" (that's a lot of potential...) Derrick Brooks type athletic LB? -
Okay, so I'm led to believe the Longhorn school system produces busts? So it's the college that got these kids a good draft spot and then went on to influence them in their future careers, supporting them in their failure? Wow. Long arm of the interfering Longhorns that they can overcome a professional 24/7 coaching staff and the big A%@ professional salary. Well, i'd like to thank Lyons Hopkins Kindergarten in Warrnambool, Australia for their continuing positive influence and support for me in my professional career, being an alumni 1978. Without which i have no doubt, i'd be a bust

The guy from Candlemass had an awesome voice. Geoff Tate seems to be getting the votes though. The self title album was !@#$ing awesome. Hmmm, what about Doro Pesch (?) or Lita Ford, well at least to look at

To judge this guy without knowing anything but accusations is unfair. What happens if the paternity test comes back negative ? Is he still a low character guy. 605455[/snapback] ...Mark Chmura anyone? -
Vanden Bosch remains a Titan, 4 year deal

...how about an inside source that says his "stock is climbing" from a clubs personal work out. So let's see now/ The Bills draft so far according to: 1. No high motor white guys for the D-line. 2. No average college player who had a great combine. 3. No player who had an average combine but has performed stellar in personal work outs. ...we should start a thread. How not to draft... -
He failed miserably and though he's since departed, we're still paying for it today. TD or Butler- take your poison. I would say the Bulter years towards the end of his reign parallel those of TD's for draft longevity. But for every Dwight Freeney there's an Eric Flowers and I just wish our GM's had that Almanac from "Back to the Future".

In Oz, it's been the same argument. Turin, which appears in the Australian version of the world (that's the map where the south pole is at the top so that Australia becomes up-over and not down-under...) is pronunced and advertised as Turino. I just don't remember the Greek Olympics here as the Olympics in Hellas? I am eagerly looking forward to how the Beijing Olympics are to be pronounced, let alone spelt. Does wingdings even have enough characters for the chinese language?

Maybe the fear of him going down from a special teams tackle/ hit from a designed play, that prevents him from participating any further is factored in by the d'oh coaches. I guess on a bad snap and run, you just take it. His worth is as a punter over, hopefully a 19 game season But i still like the idea, particularly if i've got someone like the Jests Ben Graham, who played 10 years of AFL (albeit for Geelong). He could take a hit and probably give it back...see Darren Bennett...

This is a funny thread...My mate and I couldn't work out what was going on. I suspected it was the Anthem, but neither of us were that sure to have bet on it. At least you don't have "girt" in your Anthem...as in "girt by sea". Who has ever used "Girt" in a sentence before or since the writing of the tragic Oz anthem...and we'll hear it daily during the Commonwealth Games- yawn...

I'd have thought that with a HC who was a former TE that this area of game would have been a pet project for him. Obviously he forgot that a Pet is for Life, not just Christmas...shoot, in his short tenure, he never got game past Christmas Seriously, this has been an area of massive disappointment for some time now. Is Everett a kid to resurrect something from the position?

...I went to Monash University and La Trobe University. If I had gone to Melbourne it may count in some circles, otherwise we just don't have the population for University conspiracy theorists. It was just something that a mate noted from far away...Melbourne...bring on the draft, or at least a tidbit of JP being in Buffalo and Jauron being "blown" away with how far he's come with the playbook...yawn

A mate of mine made mention that DJ went to Yale, studying history and ML did a Masters in English History at Harvard. He wondered if there is anything to be taken from the Ivy League association? It seemed that Levy had DJ in his sights from the get go, now the conspircay adds a little flavour...i guess somethings got to lighten up the now long off season, particularly as we head to the yawn Winter Olympics and the even bigger yawn, Commonwealth Games-go Nauru...

Anybody notice Seattle's punter sucked?
Shamrock replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmmm, To Seattle: Anthony Rocca To Collingwood: Walter Jones To Buffalo: Walter Jones...Collingwood didn't know what to do with him Collingwood is an Australian Football League team. Anthony Rocca has a leg equal to Ben Graham (but younger), now punting for the Jests. yeah, the punting sucked...most of us watching in Oz were in Disbelif at how poor it was. -
DT/NT We have one on payroll!
Shamrock replied to millstone twnsp nj bills fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was disapointed at how often in his very first training camp he actually participated. He seemed happy to be standing back with Ruben, making jokes whilst others went on 5-4 and 1-1 drills. I was shocked that something like $8m had been spent on someone that appeared that lazy. He did improve his second year and totally regressed to a non-participant again this year. I doubt he'd be enough of a professional to make a career change to the other line. IMO. -

With a lot of discussion about the 4-3 V 3-4 fronts on the board, I was wondering whether Ron Edwards (healthy) would be able to play a Left end spot in the 3-4, similar to say, Trevor Pryce in Denver. He is still a relative unknown force. He's been caught behind Adams and PW, gets a shot and tears a shoulder. The toll on the shoulder outside wouldn't be as significant as that of an interior lineman, tending to have a triangle that contains a TE instead of only linemen? Could he occupy a role similar to Phil Hansen and swing between a left end in the 3-4 and when in an obvious 4 man front, inside at left tackle leaving a better pass rusher outside; role occupied at various times by Bennett, Paup and Jim Jeffcoat. Just a thought...

Buffalo is not the sexiest destination in the NFL. ...but sexiness may be taken with perspective/ beer goggles. If there are few jobs offered, suddenly the girl at the dance nobody wanted, starts to look a bit better...

Weaknesses: Durability is a concern. He did not seem to fully bounce back from his 2004 knee injury. He lacks explosiveness as a blocker. Is not aggressive enough and must play with more of a mean streak. He lacks ideal lower body strength. Needs to improve his base in order to anchor better versus the bull rush. He lacks the leg drive to consistently create a new LOS as a run blocker. He's a little bit too much of a position and wall-off type as a run blocker. He still has some room to improve in his pass-pro technique, most notably with his hand-placement. Still relatively raw at the position; did not move from TE to LOT until 2003 season and he missed the 2004 season with an injury. ...ouch and how many times has this been printed "Has a rare combination of size and athleticism"...i would flag it on that alone
