The tale of the tape. On one hand Mamula's thinking, "ah Crap, what 'til the position coach sees me being blocked by Lonnie Friggin' Johnson." And the other from Lonnie Friggin' Johnson "Holy Crap, look at me blocking the 7th overall pick, Mike Mamula. Wow. Wow. I can't wait to get out of this series and tell the guys."

I kind of got lost in this thread with blue being something other than, well blue. I don't know if we have this argument if we're 12-4 rather than 5-11. We'll see...

The bad news if Golisano ever buys the Bills

Like, the Bills could get a sick uniform. That'd be, like, totally, y'know, like sick. And then, like I rang that owner from Dallas and he was like, totally mental with the new CBA Ralph reworked. Daddy, I want a Superbowl ring, NOW... -

In Australia it has it's own special meaning, but something tells me the editor wouldn't like it going further.

The Haloti Ngata Profile By Ourlads Scouts

Slow twitch player. Doesn't push the pocket with strength. Questionable functional strength. Gets pinned by a single block. Stands on the line of scrimmage. Jogs in pursuit. Gets driven off the ball in goal line defense. Some weeks ago i posted his Olympic weightlifting totals, which for a man of his size and in particular, his potential draft position (#8 Buffalo) were quite poor. Good on him for doing those lifts though. These comments, particularly about "slow twitch" bare that out (...and yes i do know he's a footballer first and formost and thta some folk have No idea how Olympic lifters train). I'd hope to take someone with more power than strength- thus more ability to penetrate and push their ground. The description is pretty negative stuff. We'll see... -
...Bennie Anderson left training due to a twisted ankle?

Gibson is the dark horse here but... It's one gift horse i wouldn't back. I would be suprised if Gibson pans out. He pretty much became to Detroit what MW did in Buffalo. Gibson ran out his welcome a little more quickly than MW, probably because MW was a #4 overall and Gibson #27. Gibson was a beast at Wisconson, blocking for Ron Dayne...Unfortunatley Gibson will probably = MW in terms of package offered- happy to be 370lbs of potential. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ayers/3801.html Give me an O-lineman with an Antoine Winfield sized heart, someone who wants to smack heads and drive block someone's ssa back to their own endzone.

This pick wasnt nearly as bad as Parrish though. Taking a 5'8" 165 lb WR in the second round and with your first pick ( Bills didnt have a first ) who will never be anything more then a slot Receiver is just DUMB Perhaps we have a vision of a league of undersized guys... Parrish and Corey Moore DE (3rd Round, 2000) are the starters so far...Kind of PeeWee Football for the NFL. Imagine, the stadiums could be smaller, 50 yards would look like 100 with little people playing. Offensive linemen could weigh 250 again. The food bill would be less. They'd occupy less room on a plane...

I am visiting my brother in October and intend to go to a regular season game at the Ralph. Which game would you see if you had to attend either the Minnesota or New England game. I have been to Buffalo for training camp and preseason games about every 2 years since '98 but have always been told i should check out a home Bills game. I went to Buffalo/ Rochester following the 3-13 season- so it's not dependent upon onfield success. Which would be easier to get tickets for? Thanks

Please, if you are going to post something like this- warn me. After wading through TBD at present, i nearly feel off the chair laughing at this.

Thanks for providing an insight to the DT situation. It's getting tough to find some good posts around here over the last couple of seasons, making it all that much harder to follow the Bills from across the Pacific.

http://s13.invisionfree.com/WOMag/index.php?showtopic=14 I know he's a footballer first, however a Clean and Jerk of 172.5kg at a bodyweight of 158.80kg isn't very good. This was in June 2005 as well. The Snatch was even worse, only 130kg. Seriously, these aren't great numbers for a 21 year old of his size and touted as an NFL caliber inside tackle, high 1st round- maybe to Buffalo. I hope someone's got some "powerlifting" totals for him that show some heavy Squat, Bench and Deadlift results. There is a chance that these "Olympic" lifts can be counted as someone with poor technique or who is too slow, lacking power rather than the lack of functional strength. I do credit him though for at least competing in weightlifting. From this though, I'd be concerned that he was just a Big kid who lacks dominating power...

I get the feeling that this current period of free agency is more of shoring up the depth chart than anything as well as casting off some dead timber. In surgery, we'd call this debridement of the wound. Go the Octagenarian -
So we've forgotten Kris Farris (?) the former Pitt O-lineman that didn't pan our from the Donohoe era due to injury...

Isn't he a "high motor white D-lineman"? Hmmm, he'd fit into our rotation with Denney and Kelsay...still looking for our Phil Hansen replacement when everyone else is looking for a Bruce Smith!
