Kyle Turley got $25k for throwing (pretty funny throw attempt actually) an opposing players helmet after he faced masked Brooks (I think). Haslett thought about cutting Turley for that incident...Jets v Saints about 5 or so years ago. Add for inflation and the fact that there was stomping- no way just $25k...
...smooth player and like Pyrite- a gifted athlete. Something like 37 sacks in his first 5 years- not a bad average (I think the late, great DT had 65 in his first 5 if that adds any perspective)
Did the mag have something extra going for it.
I don't know, maybe a viewer pole of bikini models or just some pics of former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins...something, cause they don't know Bo about rankings
...maybe from this reason,
12 - John Brodie
16 - Joe Montana
34 - Joe Perry
37 - Jimmy Johnson
39 - Hugh McElhenny
42 - Ronnie Lott
70 - Charlie Krueger
73 - Leo Nomellini
79 - Bob St. Clair
87 - Dwight Clark
With plans to retire Steve Young's #8 and Jerry Rice's #80.
They entered the NFL in 1946...thankfully they've sucked for the past years.
The prospect of un-retiring a number is just awkward.
Do away with colours and the like as well. For example, in the Olympics competitors wearing red have won more matches than those in blue for sports such as boxing. Both teams can chose between shades of greys. Also do away with mascots. A bengal is more ferocious than say a dolphin wearing an helmet. That's an unfair advantage...
Bruce Almighty is on TV tonite. I thought that could be a good luck omen for today Nevermind the fact that it wasn't Bruce "Almighty" Smith...but it's still in Buffalo...could that count?
Have the Jets apologised for the 71 yard pass completion- I think not. How unfair is that then. I'm sure the Jets will be fined in due course for the transgression.
Question without notice Mike. I appreciate the yardage situation. What happens to the yardage from a field goal- is that counted as making the 100% of yardage required- just wasn't sure. With a TD that's obvious. Thanks.
