Very sad to hear. RiP.

That’s why I asked if ‘anyone know any more details’ after googling and the clubs statement. don’t forget substantial time difference between NY and Melbourne when posted too. Season ended, but he’d gone over to US for private preseason training. Was a high draft pick with contract season 2022 & at age 25, he’s seen as potential but hoping to realise it. There was lots of club talk, as usual, talking it up. Not the first or last player to throw it away. Mind you, he’s been trying awhile now.

https://www.afl.com.au/news/686373 Sadly, he played for my AFL club. Anyone know any more details, did it even make news there? Guy has history of suspect behaviour.

Sheldon Cooper, either. Who’d had thought a science geek could go for as long and generate an origin series too. Penny. Because. just started watching it, day 80 of Lockdown 6 in Melbourne, Australia -
Should NFL refs start being suspended for idiotic calls?
Shamrock replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know in Australia, AFL umps are assessed, they have their own Umpire Dept. & umpire Coaches. Team Coaches will direct calls to them for clarity. It ends up that the better umpires coach finals as reward. I can’t recall an umpire being ‘dropped’, would have to look that up. -
Dat Nguyen count?

Do you still have friends from middle and high school?
Shamrock replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Have a friend that I’ve known since we were in mothers group together. His family and mine had older sisters same age, older brothers same age. I grew up in his house. Did kinder, Primary and High together. His mum died 4 months after my dad. Still tight. Other mate, met at uni, live about 100m away. -
We have a small park at back of house. Path on either side of creek. Steep walls. Playground at 1 end, car park the other. Approx. 2.5km length. So my wife calls one day as went to playground with kids for picnic with friend and was lost… How?

My old weightlifting coach would ask why a world champion gets up in the morning and trains when they’re already the best. Mind you, we had guys like Stefan Botev, Nicu Vlad and Blagoi Blagoev in the gym as examples. Why Vasily Alexeev didn’t just retire after his 1st world record. Why Pyros Dimas went for 4 Olympic Gold, having won 3. Why Hafthor lifted just that bit more. Why David Rigert bombed in 1972, starting his lifts once everyone had finished, when he could have played it safer and totalled.

Was at Slayer in 2019, at a festival. Kerry King and Tommy Araya at the end of their set just walked back and forth from side to side, stopping and taking in the adulation. Chanting of “Slayer… Slayer…” Araya commented that this was their last trip and will miss it. With the crowd cheering for ages, well past the set. Was the last band. (Priest and Anthrax were also there). Seemed like it was a decent amount of time. Hoping it wasn’t. Seen them every trip to Australia.

I work in a High Risk Foot Clinic; if you were in Australia I’d say get a great Diabetes Nurse Educator. They help with things you may need; Endocrinologist, optometrist, phlebotomist, pharmacist, joining NDIS, podiatrist, dietitian, exercise physiologist... psychologist/ counsellor (it’s stressful, have someone you can talk about/ with honestly). Dot your I’s and cross your ‘t’s’ and work at it.

Slayer has some quick songs, Necrophobic... also, this is a very quick song by Sepultura.

I got Megadeth “Rust in Peace” and a smaller one that could detach speakers and I’d do my homework in stereo with “Holy Wars” shredding across. That song still resonates. My brother was really hard on his tapes, used to bug me that he’d put the wrong tape back. I’d not complain as he bad his mates, older, would let me copy their albums. I still have all mine, took pride in trying to write the bands name in same font they used, metal bands has same great calligraphy... And they work. I got the original for the Judas Priest “Live” album awhile back, I forget now, but one of the tracks wouldn’t fit on the cassette, it was a double album, it just ended with the tape and I thought that was how it always ended...

“Hi, it’s Bill Belichick, you remember when you signed me up for that timeshare for January? Just before I was announced Head Coach of the Jets? Yeah? Well, I’m available now.”

Surfing in Warrnambool Victoria. Port Fairy down the coast is more sharky. Lady Julia Percy Island is a seal colony. Plenty of whites. They sometimes come to the near shore on patrol, possibly getting O2 loading in the surf zone. I remember paddling back out whilst surfing “the Cutting”, glanced to my left, saw a shark, then it disappeared. Didn’t look very big. Possibly a whaler, looked brownish. Was out at Granny’s in Warrnambool. Me and a mate. Sitting about 15m apart and a fin broke the surface between us. We were facing open ocean and it was heading shore. We paddled in very carefully. Often the young White’s come chasing the salmon in the gutters parallel to the shore. We talked about whether it was a little shark and that was all it’s fin showing or a big shark with just the tip! They’re just there, invisible until the last moment & can disappear as quick. Had a fishing boat chase one near us once, or chasing something in the water. Didn’t realise that they’d chased what ever it was to our area. But there was a guy yelling at us At the bow, from a good distance away, convinced us to get out quick. That was at ***** Beach, Southern Whales come there to fatten up before the trip south. Swam with lots of dolphins there. Saw plenty swimming and snorkelling off Mana Island in Fiji, mostly White/ Black tips and Grey Reef. Place called Supermarkets! Dived with 7 Gills- they’re weird as well as Whalers, Nurse and Leopard Sharks at Melbourne Aquarium.
