  1. Apalachian State comes to mind?
  2. Here's my question. Would you drop someone on the roster, on the radar to give someone you've got a good grasp on that isn't in the NFL to come back and ride the pines as a playing coach? Remember, your job is to put the best team out there and you'll swing with the loss and rise with the wins and make enough losses and you're forever "unemployed". Your job is to sign, not speculate? Does that change how you see Losman?
  3. If you can recall the sack Jeff Wright made on Brett Favre in 1991 and are not related to Jeff Wright, then you're a Bills fan.
  4. Like having a tonne of skiing potential but living in Libya...
  5. For some reason, Quinn Early's name came to mind re longest TD, possibly previously?
  6. You look at a flight from Melbourne as just one of those things you have to do to visit Orchard Park...
  7. So Weis explains the insance yards as due to Bills stupidity- not adjusting, but were there any comments on Kyle Williams: nine tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss for example weren't forthcoming? How did Weis adjust for a great D effort, albeit solo by running the same play 95% of the tine. Or do we take this as more winners are grinners, winners get to write history and we take all that they say then as truth.
  8. 2. Blaine Gabbert, Good Athlete can make plays on the run reminds me of Roethlisberger but better runner and not as big. Hmmm. Maybe a roughie, how about Christian Ponder, QB, Florida State. Remonds me of Michael Vick, except White, or Steve Young, except Right handed or John Elway, except not as durable, or Jim Kelly, but not as tall... sorry, but, you were open...
  9. Keith Traylor and Ted Washington for the Bears in 2000 is what you're after, i think.
  10. More Aussies made this team than Donte... Also, noted Patick Willis, or 1-pick-away-Lynch!
  11. Clearly a "Roughing the Passer" penalty and ejection. Don't they know to pull up within 3 steps of Brady, you know, just in case he needs to tuck the ball, then if you must, tackle... may not be exactly how it's worded in the NFL rules...
  12. 2006: Losman and the Bills beat Favre and the Packers, thanks largely to Favre throwing a bad goal line INT that was run most of the way back. 1994: Kelly and Reed set records against Favre and the Packers. At that time, Kelly was the seasoned veteran and Favre was an up-and-comer. The 94 game was on TV here. Jeff Wright got a great safety (?) on Favre in the endzone. The defense played really aggressive...still have it taped. I actually made the 2006 game journey (thanks 89) and Anthony Thomas and Jason Peters played smash mouth run football, all down hill it seemed.
  13. Stevie's still only a pup too, hopefully he'll progress even more.
  14. But we're always rebuilding with high picks. We let go players and need replace them from the draft due to need too frequently. I'll use our favourite draft position as an example. We draft a Winfield to replace an ageing Thomas Smith. We let Smith go, try our luch with Ken Irvin and then need to draft a Clements, letting Winfield go a year or so later. We then draft McKelvin having traded goodbye to Clements, having just solidified with McGee rather than dabling in the likes of Chris Watson. We're in the same position, spinning wheels. Same feel as for the defensive end position after Hansen we go through Wiley and Flowers etc, running back after Thurman we try 4 years of Antowain Smith, 4 years of Travis Henry, 3 years of Willis Magahee, 3 and an inch with Marshawn Lynch. How long does Spiller get before the itch returns...
  15. Was thinking this whilst watching Magahee for the Ravens. Why can't we turn our first round picks into either serviceable players or, well, first round picks. We could offer the same math for corners as well. Winfield- starter, released... still a starter Clements- starter, released... still a starter Opening a need to draft Leodis... which, what, in 2 years will be released an a need for a top tier corner in the draft sought. We lose a London Fletcher, whether good or not and spend a draft pick on Poz his replacement whilst Fletcher can still start elsewhere and we're still debating whether Poz is better or not. The drafting philosophy makes no sense. I'd be worried Kyle Williams will be released in what 2 years, so we can need draft a DT and hope he's a replacement for Williams, who we hoped would be a replacement for Bannan who we hoped would be a replacement for Pat Williams....
  16. Maybe a loose reference to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moran_family... or quite possibly of the former Bill, Sean Moran?
  17. Coming over from Oz, it's nice to be able to go into the lot and catch up with someone who you just know will be there.
  18. I always enjoy it when someone has excelled in becoming, in this instance, "the laziest piece of crap ever". Somehow, you know there's a rookie out there gunning to beat this...
  19. After reading theses posts, I propose a thread titled, "If I were another team and lost our #1 RB, other team's #2 RB i'd rather have then Lynch" and see where we get to... (ok, maybe it's a little long for a title) Minnesota Vikings- Chester Taylor.
  20. As a podiatrist all i can suggest you see a podiatrist! Plantar fasciitis is often misdiagnosed as any of a number of rearfoot complaints, the aetiology of which is often vary different and therefore leading to varying management techniques. For example: Heel spur, heel spur sundrome, plantar fasciitis, enthesopathy, medial plantar calcaneal nerve entrapment, tendinopathy- particular EDB muscle, long or short plantar ligament tear, Dupytren's contracture.... Yep, there's a reason there's a profession looking at feet!
  21. RIP Dio. A Bills U alumni too. There was a thread here awhile back about who had the best metal vocal. RJD ranked up high. I knew he'd made it when, there on South Park Elementary was RJD singing "Holy Diver".
