  1. I realize that you don’t understand, but this horse nonsense you’re talking about - it’s just weird to even say it. It’s probably a joke of some sort, but it’s not remotely funny. Just really weird.
  2. At this point I wonder if that means we have to forfeit. I’m only somewhat joking.
  3. Those five tackles that Jones had against the Steelers are all the more impressive if he wasn’t on the field. Like he was doing some Jedi mind trick or something.
  4. Let’s not get out in front of our skis here. The kid played well. Really well. But nobody’s moving a defensive captain for a tryout player who had one excellent preseason game.
  5. It’s the same small group of people looking for something to whine about over and over. Nobody cares, they’re sick of Trump, they’re sick of couch-banging and dolphin-loving weirdness, and they’re sick of all you weirdos. I choose joy and freedom!
  6. Not a hoax. Also, “PEIRV” and “perIrv” are classic. Well done!
  7. Maybe. But he was hunting down RBs against the 1s. This isn’t some bottom of the roster WR who beats the 3s but can’t cut it against the 1s or 2s.
  8. Maybe this is the inverse of 2016. I view that election not as Trump having “won,” but as Hillary having lost. Now, perhaps it is that people view Harris favorably in part because she evokes joy (a rare thing in this country since 2016), and in part because she’s not the weird, deluded narcissist on the other side.
  9. They’re gonna have to move. Those are dying industries. It’s capitalism. Elect leaders with the smarts to diversify and get a different result. You’re wrong about OP and EA. EA is blue. OP … I’ve seen maybe three Trump signs. A handful of flags, too, to be fair. But less than 10 total. And Im fairly certain Trump lost OP on both 16 and 20 (but not entirely sure of that). As far as the boat parades go, they’re lame. Harris supporters go to her events - in huge numbers.
  10. Or in a rural wasteland like West Virginia. The strongest of MAGA strongholds. The MAGAs I know spent more money than they had, don’t work nearly as hard as they think, and blame other people for problems brought about by their own laziness, waste, and gluttony. Instead of looking inwardly they blame Mexico, and Democrats, and welfare, and a variety of other things. Most of the MAGA around here are in places like Cheektowaga, or West Seneca, or the boonies. They want to live in Clarence or Amherst or Orchard Park, or have more money to waste on nicer stuff, but things didn’t work out for them and now it’s time to blame others. Sure, there’s MAGA here and there who are relatively successful. But the vast majority are the poor and paycheck to paycheck whites. They should have made better choices and they should stop blaming other people for their problems. Their issues are not mine, and I’m not going to look to a border wall, or some phony con man, as a solution to personal failings.
  11. Looks like I was right about the welfare thing. Get off the couch and get a job.
  12. You could always give it back if you’re so adamantly against socialism. Same thing with the whining about inflation. That’s a function of capitalism, whether MAGA wants to admit it or not. Personally, I think price caps are a bad idea. But both sides are trending toward greater government involvement in the economy in the context of the inflation conversation. Hoax. Also, no eye roll this time from Tommy Eyerolls? Maybe you’re one of the ones on welfare and this point hit a little too close to home.
  13. Oddly your views are how I feel about MAGA. Pretty much hits it on the head. There’s probably more white people (the “poor whites,” as Dave Chappelle calls them) receiving public benefits than any other demographic. Quit whining about insulin and Mexicans taking the jobs that you can’t or won’t do anyways, get off the couch, and get to work. It’s not the government’s fault they’re losers.
  14. Nail Head and blunt object have collided. The rallies are sad. They’re largely a bunch of weird people who find solace in one another and in the frustration with, in significant part, their own failings. And the leader of this lot is a past his prime old man who is beginning to realize that he’s been tuned out.
  15. And if your business failed, or if you invested poorly, where would you be? Welfare? Living at your kids’ house? Social security is designed to prevent that. I question the investment acumen and work ethic of much of MAGA. Maybe they can take care of each other if social security goes away. But right now I’d rather have a program that allows them to afford their own trailer, video games, and booze in their golden years.
  16. That’s all he has left. Playing the greatest hits. Hillary, Biden, being the DJ at mar a lago. That’s all he has left. He’s just a washed up weirdo playing out one last con.
  17. Because even no policy, were it the case, is better than January 6.
  18. I agree that Trubisky was brutal against the Steelers. But let's start here. Does anyone have a better, reasonable idea right now? I'll hear Heinecke. I guess I'll listen to Josh Dobbs. But where are we otherwise?
  19. Hoax. "Every worker got a tax break." But the rich folks got more. Way, way more. Which is what happens in the supply side system that you vote for. By definition, most corporations are not Fortune 500. Yet they got breaks that, in theory, could have gone to the worker. More supply side. Keep voting against your own interests. Also, it's "you're," not "your." Maybe instead of doing the eye roll thing you can peruse a copy of Strunk & White.
  20. I don't disagree. And yet you vote for Trump. Tax cuts for the wealthy! Corporate tax breaks! Raise prices on consumers! All your guy. Keep voting against your own interest. Who is that exactly? Also, I don't need social security. Not a dime of it. But most of the people who read this probably do. And, what appears to be your point about privatizing social security was discussed up until about 9/11. At that point even Republicans realized that market volatility made that privatization idea a bad plan. So, bottom line, you don't believe in Social Security. But you're not going to renounce it. And you're not giving back Medicare benefits. So either you're not a principled person, or you partake in benefits of programs grounded in elements of socialism.
  21. You mean trickle down, right? That's sort of the point. Historically the Republican economic approach has been trickle down. GHWB called it "voodoo economics." Trump is a Populist in many ways, but his economic theory has trickle down components. The large tax cut for the rich, for example, is one of them. The tax hike on imports, stupid as it may be, probably is another. Trickle down doesn't work, but now the working folks who support Trump are voting for it. The joke's on you if he wins.
  22. My favorite is that you're giving back your social security and Medicare benefits because you're against socialism. You should let everyone else here know how to do that so that the "anti-commies" can do the same. Weird.
  23. The bull rush did seem to be effective tonight.
  24. I thought the same thing last night. Why keep 6? None of the potential bottom of the group players is going to get claimed. And, I have a sneaking suspicion we're going to run a lot of 12 this year. So I'm skeptical that we need more than 5. Maybe the dynamic changes if there's a trade available, or if there's somebody they really like who hits the transaction wire at the end of the month. And he didn't blow contain like Jonathon. I still think Jonathon makes the team if they keep 10 DL. But Solomon has passed him.
