  1. This. I think the market is going to be flat until there’s clarity on the tariff nonsense. After that, we shall see. By then it might be too late for too much of a rebound if inflation gets hotter and job losses pick up. Maybe Trump can think about that this weekend when he’s wasting more of our hard earned playing golf.
  2. With the wedding news and the amount of money in play I have to wonder if that gets done soon.
  3. Tariffs is what they’ll say. Which makes no sense whatsoever and is yet another crock. Undergrad at NewsMax College and MBA from the Maria Bartiromo school of business at Fox News U.
  4. Wartime spending. What a crock. You know who spent money like a drunken sailor? Trump 45. Huge increase in national debt even before COVID. During a period of no major war. Somebody has to slow it down, and it’s nice that you’ve found religion in that respect. But trump’s plans are not going to make that happen.
  5. He just wants to blame Biden for everything. Not a peep about the tariff BS that supercharged this mess. Or Trumps promises to make us all rich in day one.
  6. This. We need better play in front of Bernard.
  7. You spent a lot of time on ignoring pent up demand, too much free money injected into the system (remember when Trump gave it away and either wanted to or actually signed the checks?), and short supply because of COVID. Whatever it was that Biden inherited he managed not to screw it up. And, arguably, improve it, because inflation was cooling when he left office. But now, this fool came in an managed to push the market very close to correction territory, hasn't done a thing as inflation has worsened, and brainwashed people like you into thinking it's someone else's fault. If Trump had simply left well enough alone then we would be richer and have lower prices today. Instead, Trump tariffs = economic distress for Americans. I'll add this - your trade deficit point is directly attributable to stockpiling in advance of these idiotic tariffs. That's why the deficit grew in Biden's last month in office.
  8. Actually he did inherit a good economy. Trump has made things worse. And heaven forbid that for once he actually be held to his word. (Or that he at least focus on the problems of working Americans, rather than nonsense like MAGAZA.) He said he was going to "fix" all of these things (inflation, economy, paychecks, stock market). They are all deteriorating under his watch. Just like private sector layoffs are deteriorating. While he plays golf.
  9. Yeah that's it. P/E is too high, so this is just some natural correction that can't be attributed to Trump. Normally I'd say there's truth to it but, knowing everything you said, the bozo ran on, among other things, the promises of a booming stock market and higher paychecks and lower inflation. And yet here we are. The market is tanking because of his stupidity and whim, inflation is increasing, and buying power is decreasing. He's driving the good economy he inherited into an abyss.
  10. I really think he responded to the markets and saw the Maria Bartiromo clip on Fox today and pulled the plug (again). Nothing more or less than that. It's asinine that we have this flip flopping every few hours in the White House, but hey, 12 weirdos aren't going to play girls sports, so it's worth wiping out a trillion in market cap at the whim of this fool.
  11. No matter whether your point is true, the data shows that Trump took a good thing under Biden and has, so far, screwed it up. Royally.
  12. Even dead cats bounce, right? I hope it picks up. But this guy is wrecking confidence with his whiplash. Like it was under Biden, you mean?
  13. Infrastructure is an issue re oil, yes. But I’d start planning for that if I was them. And, in the meantime, they’ll source new suppliers and take their cash elsewhere. Cotton can be bought in Brazil. Booze can come from somewhere other than Kentucky. Cars can be bought elsewhere, etc. And our taxing of petroleum imports only makes stuff more expensive for us. It’s a mess.
  14. Seriously. The statement I’m going to make isn’t political in the least. WTF is going on with this guy. One day DOGE is in charge, the next it isn’t. The tariff situation is a complete mess. His deportation agenda is going nowhere. Markets are uneasy to say the least. Military and business partners can’t trust us. Consumer confidence is falling. Food prices still climbing. And he’s played a ton of golf. I don’t like trump at all, but I’m rooting for success because I’m an American. He’s gotta get it together because this is an incompetent poop show. Easily the most chaotic and inept first 100 days of my lifetime. He’ll testify after they satisfy all of the conspiracy theorists by releasing all of the Epstein files. Which will be never. We know who the leopards will eat next.
  15. This. And I’m the meantime, Canada and Mexico string trump along while looking for different partners. They’re buying time, and we accomplish nothing other than aggravating allies and partners.
  16. It’s the stock market. Pretty ugly since Trump took over. Lots of private sector job cuts too. Looks like the business world doesn’t much like the whiplash approach of the White House.
  17. Yeah, sure, dead people in social security. It’s been debunked. Meanwhile, the flip flopping of this bozo on tariffs is giving rise to another bloody day in the markets. Needles destruction of wealth. and, by the way, he’s getting played. Canada and Mexico are just buying time to find new trading partners. But she’s not right, either. Trying to bring this production back domestically has to happen in phases and over time. The car dealer hit the nail on the head. Gradual tariffs, or sunrise tariffs in a few years, make more sense than this BS.
  18. Biden inherited an economy that wasn’t shambles because of COVID.
  19. That’s a hoax if ever there was one. You know what has hurt the economy? Trump. His tariffs are stupid. Trading partners don’t trust the guy. Inflation is creeping back up. New job creation is slowing. I wish he took the “don’t fix it” approach to the economy he inherited.
  20. There’s a difference between prevention and enforcement. I said enforcement. You confused the two. And yes, border crossings (prevention) are better under Trump. But his eviction of these criminal illegals that he scared people with the campaign is no different from Biden. So, again, he either invented a problem that didn’t exist or is failing in his effort to solve it.
  21. I get the play against China. And I would handle Mexico differently, but I somewhat understand the play. The Canada approach, however, is profoundly stupid.
  22. Thanks. I’m sorry you had to learn here that the pace of deportations under Trump is equal to the pace of deportations under Biden. Either Trump invented a problem that didn’t exist or he’s failing in his effort to solve it. Compound annual growth rate I believe was better under Biden. But yes, the market did well under both presidencies. Unfortunately Orange 2.0 is not off to a good start.
  23. Im hoarding cash but holding everything. I learned from the first go round with this bozo not to overreact. Also making it tougher for his base to eat. Maybe they can have cake. Or leftovers from Mar a lago. I’ll give you one. These tariffs. Stupid. Serve no purpose, other than to tax middle America. There you go.
  24. Because there’s nothing good to say. A few dozen trannies no longer play girls scholastic sports. Immigration enforcement is a storyline, but really no different from what was done under last administrations. And to accomplish that we’ve damaged a good economy to the point that it’s teetering and probably inevitably headed toward a significant recession. I hope the culture wars were worth it for MAGA.
  25. Which was on orange man time. It has been brewing for awhile, no doubt. But orange man promised prosperity and huge paychecks and lower taxes and a smoking stock market. So he owns it. And his tariff idiocy certainly isn’t helping anything. So maybe he should get off the golf course and get back to work.
