I’m with you. I’d rather it be wasted there than on, say, the nine snaps that Mike Williams got last night at $10m/year.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong

I can tell you with a great deal of confidence that everyone in the building really likes and respects Epenesa. Total class act. They want guys like him around. -
Von Miller proves the doubters wrong

The running QB thing is where I’m at in the performance of the ends last week. They were really disciplined. No need to see bend or speed or dips from miller (or anyone else) last week. -
Von Miller proves the doubters wrong

We saw last year how putting a tackle on roller skates can affect a throw. But for Frank Clark we’re up by 3 or 4 heading into the waning moments of the KC playoff game. -
Tyreek Hill apparently arrested this morning…

It was wrong then, it’s wrong now, and it made things very difficult for the vast, vast majority of LEOs, who are good, kind, caring people. -
Tyreek Hill apparently arrested this morning…

Nobody got triggered. This is coming from a guy who was outraged about George Floyd. Nobody deserves a vigilante death penalty for passing a fake bill. I think we can all agree on that. But so too is it that police have one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in our society. I am grateful for the every day. What if the officer couldn’t see inside the car when (to my understanding) Hill rolls up the window? Is there a gun or other weapon? Is officer safety certain? I don’t know the answer to any of those questions, but I will not fault these officers for anything they did to promote personal and public safety. Not one thing. -

Maybe he wouldn’t have been so late if he planned better and didn’t act like a jerk. -

Meanwhile this officer is worried about getting home to his own family and not having the incident go sideways. Hill is a jerk. For what it’s worth, I have it on good authority that Hill is not the only star receiver who played in the AFC East last year who has got himself in trouble like this by being a difficult jerk in a traffic stop situation. -
A Few Thoughts about the Cardinals Game, in no particular order
SectionC3 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
My eyes must have gotten there after the stumble. I wasn’t looking downfield because neither team could throw the ball downfield with arc with the wind. The only direction to really throw it well and accurately was the direction of the last ball to Dortch that they missed. In the MVS ball, I still field like he lost speed as the ball neared him based on the live watch and tracking the ball downfield. Very well could have been a stumble like you said. -
A Few Thoughts about the Cardinals Game, in no particular order
SectionC3 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watching it in the stadium I thought MVS slowed up a bit. That wasn’t a bad ball at all given the wind. If this keeps up Groot might be a $150m guy. He’s young, he’s growing into his body, and his game is built on power. He’s a “first guy off the bus” body and his game is sustainable. -
I hated it in the stadium because bass was brutal during the halftime break from distance in that direction. Maybe — maybe — made half of his kicks. Granted, he was working from distance up to 50, but I was not confident in that decision. Upon further reflection, though, I get it. By that point we had basically figured out how to shut Murray down - pin him on the edge, blitz up the middle and get in his face so he can’t see, and force him to get rid of it quickly. It was working, so I get the logic in kicking (McD didn’t see the halftime mess) and trusting ST to make a tackle in a KO that wasn’t reaching the end zone with the wind, and playing D. Bass of course shanked it OOB which made it more interesting than it should have been, but I get the logic more today than I did yesterday.

Imagine if Diggs did something like this. Maybe, if something like that did happen, it was another reason to get him out of here. -
Did McDermott took over play calling in the 2nd half?
SectionC3 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It felt like at the stadium they decided to heat up Murray a lot more in the second half. But for the long run it worked. Playing the spy game was a bust (Williams couldn't keep up with him), and juicing up the pressure changed the game. -
Lefties are mentally disturbed and must be stopped.

I don’t remember such a thing. You’re probably making that up. Who the eff would want a re-education camp for MAGA? That would be like trying to teach a chicken about gravity. Most of these people have the comprehension of second graders. I couldn’t imagine, for example, trying to direct cartoon man with respect to a multiplication table. Hopeless. One can’t re-educate someone who can’t be educated. -
Matty touchback dropped a couple in the end zone.

How about 12.1?

Hoax.

I didn’t cite it as a “source” or cite it at all or even reference it relative to jobs figures. This is a thread that has morphed into a discussion of the competing economic policies and potential of the two major party candidates. It’s a nice place to note that Goldman Sachs, perhaps the greatest collection of capitalists on earth, prefers four years of Harris to four years of Trump. Maybe you should call the folks at GS and see if they want to switch things up a bit. Just tell them you support the Don and I’m sure they’ll tell Alec Phillips to get on the phone and chat with you.

The chatter around the Worthy trade isn't rational
SectionC3 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll play the role of Brandon Beane here. “I was employed by the Carolina Panthers at the time that trade was made.” I gotta think Josh was cool with Coleman and that they were looking to get a bigger, “handsier” guy to replace and to improve upon Gabe. Josh made a comment recently about not playing with a guy like Coleman before, and I immediately thought he must have been looking for a guy with that skill set. -
This. I thought the same thing, especially with the injury history and with grable. I wonder if they got him at a bit of a discount.
-
Nope. The article is about future economic performance. GS prefers Harris to trump. Why? Because we live in a global economy, we’re never going back, and trump has a litany of stupid protectionist ideas that only tax the American consumer.

The chatter around the Worthy trade isn't rational
SectionC3 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was a bust. A plain as day bust. The TD had nothing to do with skill and everything to do with miscommunication. I just finished the game. The threat of worthy probably is more effective and important than worthy, which is odd to say for a guy who had two touchdowns. But I really didn’t notice him outside of the run and the coverage bust. -
You, the cop hater, complaining about animal abuse? Weird and sick. I’d say go get a companion dolphin, but you’d probably channel your inner JD and start doing strange things with that poor marine mammal. Weird. “Right mind” are the key words. These people have been poisoned by social media, right wing news, ivermectin, and themselves.

And the article is based upon a GS report. So there you go.
