I can't get through all these posts but some of you are nuts to be unconcerned about JP's accuracy. He has played 8 or 9 games and I still don't know whether he will be decent or just another Rob Johnson?!? He's not even as good as Johnson yet. When he gets time he needs to step up and show some accuracy. A few bombs are about all we've seen and I'm starting to think those were an aberration. The short and mid-range throws will make or break him.
I'm not unconcerned but I don't think the answer is spending another high pick on a quarterback. If this team could run and pass block and actually play defense, I'd have more energy to worry about the quarterbacking.

Justin Bannan doesn't like the "tackling dummy" nickname and wishes people would stop using it.
-
If the management staff is stupid enough to spend another high pick on a QB this year I think I'll lose it. I don't care if Losman turns out to a total bust, the team's never going to get better making picks like that.

This club needs a head coach that the players would look up to and play hard for. I know Kelly's never coached before, but the man did run the no huddle for 4 years straight to the Superbowl. Give either one of these guys some sound coordinators on both sides of the ball and keep Bobby April as the special teams coordinator.
I know a lot of guys here are clamoring for "experienced" head coaches but who would you seriously rather have as the next Bills head coach...Jim Kelly or Jim Fassel? As for Singletary, now one would be allowed to play with a lack of effort, that you could count on.
If Jack Del Rio can be a succesfull head coach I would have no doubts that these two old schoolers could do it.
The head coach needs to be more than a figurehead. Elevating a guy with no coaching experience is about the only way I can think of to make the Bills' situation worse.

Yeah, it's an awful waste to spend a fourth-round draft pick on a guy who can't come in and start in his rookie season! Please. I've become convinced that TD has to go, but it's so hard to resist the temptation to defend him when I see attacks this stupid.

That is looking like a good year! Mark your calendars.

I'm hoping Bruschi will help EM and MM reconcile.

Knowing what Moulds has meant to this franchise for a decade, Wilson should listen for a short spell and then turn to Mularkey, clear his throat and say:
"No, Mike, we're not suspending Eric Moulds. In fact, the next time we need a first down in the fourth quarter to seal a victory, I expect my most experienced receiver to be on the field. And I also expect my best run-stuffer to be on the field. And I want my best running back to get the ball in the red zone. Thanks, Mike. Now go out, get control of your team and win me a game. Or I'll be suspending you — for good."
So Ralph Wilson is going to be the coach of the team now?

I'm not ready to declare him the savior of this team, but he has shown IMO great progress since his lousy performances at the beginning of the season, enough so that I want to see what he can develop into.

"Really, how much worse could it get?"

Dear God no!

And finally:
This is the drive that cost us the game...and it follows what Easterbrook suggests, run on every down. The Phins had the two min warning and their time outs, running the ball wasn't going to eat all of the clock up, but getting a few first downs would have. I don't know how many times I've seen coaches lose games for their teams by running on every down and punting it away with the game on the line.
This drive killed me, and in one single series Mularkey lost me. A first down ends the game, while a punt in all likelihood costs us the game the way the defense was playing at that point. I agree with your overall point, too, Easterbrook oversimplifies and doesn't highlight the real problem.

I'd like to vote in this poll but I don't think this team knows how to finish anything.

Actually I thought the INT was a nice play but I didn't think it was a game-ender, because our sluggish offense still needed a first down, and I knew Miami would move the ball if they got it back. But I never would've dreamed they'd call a run on 3rd and 9 or 10 when a first down would win the game. I was a fan of this coaching staff for quite a while, but outside of Bobby April and maybe Sam Wyche I wouldn't mind seeing them gone tomorrow.

Yeah, San Francisco's looking pretty fortunate there.
Jennings as a 3rd round pick? Great value. Paying multi-millions for Jennings as a free agent? Not so much.

True, the question is, how strong a factor will that be in whether RW keeps TD around? Before his comments I would've said he was happy to keep him around long-term, but now I'm thinking he doesn't have more than another year to get this ship righted.
My guess is it will be much more palatable for RW to swallow two years of MM's contract rather than getting rid of him before the contract's halfway done.

Actually isn't it about time to point the finger of blame back at the fans? Everyone who goes to games, watches them on TV, buys merchandise, hell, even talks about them on a web site, is providing support for this failed administration.

Do you really think that there is anyone who is happy with this season? Just because many people don't find it helpful to fixate on the negative in something they follow for entertainment purposes doesn't mean that anyone thinks this team is great. What I wonder is, are the struggles of the Buffalo Bills football team really the most important part of people's lives? If so, you are truly blessed.
Who on the Bills are you not disgusted with..
