  1. Or Jauron is taking the heat to defend his player. It certainly did look to me like a called fake, though.
  2. From the BuffaloBills.com article: Mike Schneck uncharacteristically delivered a low snap to Brian Moorman who was going to run the ball to the right in an effort to gain a first down with his legs on a fake. However, Moorman lost the handle and the Bears recovered at the Bills 40-yard line. "We know that Brian is a tremendous athlete so we wanted to take advantage of it," said Jauron. "We just thought it was a good time for it. We have it in every week. Unfortunately it didn't work. When it doesn't go right it's not a good call. That's just the way it is."
  3. Is there ever a time that the second-guessing champions of this board would think it's appropriate to run a fake punt? Personally, I thought it was a great time to try it. If, y'know, Moorman had fielded the snap like he does on every punt, Chicago would not have ended up with the ball on our 40.
  4. Not much you can do against a D like the Bears when you can't open ANY holes for the running game. By the way, it's Losman, not Loseman. Nothing else about your posts seems trollish so I'll assume it's an honest mistake.
  5. Would you really rather see 2-14 than 7-9 or 8-8? If you would, more power to you, I guess, but I couldn't relate to those who were upset we won the Cinci game last year and I can't relate to you now.
  6. How about 27-10? I do agree with the OP, though, that there was a snowball effect because of the plays the Bills didn't make early on. The 2 dropped ints on Chicago's first two scoring drives were huge IMO. Once Chicago was up 13-0, I thought the stage was set for a complete blowout.
  7. Keep trying, I'm sure you can come up with a more hackneyed comeback.
  8. I agree with that 100%. Inside the 40 is a no-punt zone barring a huge distance to go. And yeah, down by two scores in the 4th, that would be a good time to go for it. But it seems like he can't be happy just arguing those reasonable guidelines.
  9. I wish he'd lay off the punting business. As usual with TMQ, it seems like he has an idea that makes sense, then just pushes it too far. It's a mistake to punt from midfield in the second quarter when you're down by 4? Really?
  10. How about yesterday on Minnesota's final drive? Just because the ball was dropped doesn't mean the D wasn't beaten.
  11. Kudos to MDH, whose posts against the pick remain quite reasonable all these months later, even if I don't necessarily agree with him. There are others too but his stood out...
  12. Damn. But on the plus side, think of how many times he'll beat the Dolphins!
  13. Don't forget to subtract YAC.
  14. Instead of theorizing about it, why not get some numbers that back up your contention that 120 YAC is unusually high for a 300+ yard passing day?
  15. 41 yard punt, 2 yard return 58 yard punt, 17 yard return Those aren't great punts, but I don't know how you can call them bad. Certainly not deserving of a goat label.
  16. How is Moorman a goat when he had two punts on the day, neither of which was terrible?
  17. That's not funny!
  18. I'm saying I don't get the joke. Players talk to reporters, we talk about what they said. It's not something new, it's happened after every game for years and years.
  19. I don't understand your amusement. Are you saying that there shouldn't be post-game press conferences, or just that they're not fit topics for conversation on a message board?
  20. But you have to be able to rely on the RB to, you know, maybe get a couple of hands on the guy as he's coming in. I hope JP did see the guy, but he was accounted for in the blocking and you can't just play like you're expecting an ole block.
  21. Haha! You're right, I can't believe we're discussing various topics relating to the Buffalo Bills football team on a Buffalo Bills message board!
  22. Why doesn't he just take them out for cheeseburgers?
  23. It could've been anyone. Let's not kid ourselves and pretend we know any of these guys, or that the fact that they're nice guys in certain contexts means they're above this sort of thing.
  24. Relying on Mularkey's keen grasp of personnel management might not be the best way to support your argument.
