I've started to think the NFL should eliminate overtime outside of playoff games. Then in that case, just tack on extra quarters until there is a winner. You could set up some interesting decisions at the end of games, do you kick an extra point and settle for a tie, or go for two and risk a loss but possibly get the win?
No overtime rules I've seen strike me as "fair", they're all just kind of artificially grafted onto the game.

Not sure about this whole manningcast curse but man will it be ugly on this board if this team looks bad and loses to Urban Meyer and the Jags this week.
It will also further magnify Beane's inaction on the trade front too.
If the Bills lose to the Jags I don't think anyone will care about the lack of trades.

I've watched enough videos to know "it's not the Bills ascending, but the Chiefs descending" in the eyes of the heads.
Some give them their due but a 10 minute segment will run and it will be two minutes of highlights, 2 minutes of "wow look at buffalo", followed by 6 minutes of"what happened to the chiefs?"
That's true, but the thing is, Keyshawn didn't even try to offer any analysis. It was just, oh it's early in the season, and the Chiefs will bounce back because of Mahomes and Reid, oh and Lamar Jackson is amazing too.

Did they just say Mac Jones played in a hostile environment on Sunday night?
Not only that, but they were talking about Atlanta vs. the Jets, and the Jets winning their first game... and apropos of nothing that I noticed, Troy decided he wanted to talk about Tom Brady.

This is some bad football right here.

How/Why did we lose to Puttsburp? They are, at best, a ten year old can of RC Cola that your weird uncle pissed on and left out in the sun for a month and change...
I'd really hate to hear what they are at worst

Did I miss it, or did the post not say who was #1 to Sanders' #2? That's very upsetting to bring that up without telling us who won. My guess is either McKenzie or Micah Hyde.

Glad to be wrong on this one! The Chargers really match up well against KC.

What a call by Harbaugh, good for him for recognizing the kind of game he's in.

The RB fumbled on the 1 yard line but a WR on Baltimore recovered it and scored
Popped up into the air and went right to the guy, pretty crazy.

It has nothing to do with today's outcome. I mean, it's a fact, Allen has regressed. Almost to the point to where some people thought about putting in Tribuski. Even McDermott knows this otherwise, Tribuski would have came in when the game was out of reach at 28-0. I'm hoping Allen gets a spark from something and soon.
"Some people"? What people?

There's a big difference between the head coach assuming a play calling role he's experienced with and just handing it off to someone with no experience.

I’m a fan no matter what. But losing shouldn’t be accepted. Otherwise owners will have very little incentive to field a good team. Sorry our franchise has sucked for so long.
Every time I read something like the bolded, I wonder what it actually means. What steps should fans be taking to show that they don't accept losing?

Haven't seen anyone mention this one, but I really remember the opener against the Titans in 2000 as a super-intense game and made me optimistic for the season to come. Unfortunately... that season was the start of the drought and getting that bit of revenge on the Titans was really the only good part of that year.

Aw man, so now our opponents just need to see who sends in a play. If it's Dorsey they'll know it's a pass.

How short of a leash do we have Allen on at this point?
I mean, how many AFC championship games are we gonna give this guy before we throw in the towel and move on?
Gonna say more than 0 but fewer than 10

Jerry came to play tonight. Great game.
Shout out to Trent Murphy as well. He more than held his own after being relegated to the inactive list for most of the latter half of the season. He prepared and was ready to play. Good on him.
Says a lot about his character, and the coaches keeping him bought in.

2nd throw I thought was more impressive. Rolling to his left and throwing cross body while being chased. We've seen it several times this year. I can honestly say from what I've seen this year that no QB tosses a better cross body throw with velocity and accuracy than our boy Josh. That's not homerism, it's reality.
What I really loved about that throw was Josh taking a moment before the throw to get himself set. 2 years ago, or last year even, he just launches that ball IMO, and who knows where it ends up. But with that extra moment he was able to deliver a precise throw to set up an amazing catch.

Just painful to watch. What even are the building blocks for Atlanta at this point? This reminds me of watching some of those Jauron-era teams for the Bills.
