Even if he can prove that the Giants had actually hired Daboll before his interview (the Giants credibly assert he cannot), there is no basis for a lawsuit if you show up for a job you know has already been takenFlores should've just kept quiet and tried the George Costanza approach.

As is common with the scorched earth approach, start out believable and just keep talking until you reach the eyeroll point. He should stop with the yeah, and...just let the case work on its merit.
I mean, there's a strong form of what he's saying that would point to a real problem if true, it just seems ludicrous. And there's another form which seems quite likely but makes me think "So what?"
If you really want your lawsuit to do away with the concept of "references", good luck with that.

Yes agree... based on the Bengals performance.. there was no guarantees the Bills would have won today...
But geez.. Mahomes was terrible in the second half when he was faultless last week.. How much of that is on him or the Bills D is up for argument I guess..
The Bills really played into Mahomes's hands last week - and the Bengals played it smart. Come rushing at him and you may get pressure, but that honestly seems like a comfort zone for him, run around and make a crazy throw. The Bengals stayed disciplined and brought pressure late.

we need to learn and Bean needs to stop signing middle range FAs and drafting every DE hoping they improve. Von Miller or Hendrickson would have made a difference this year.
Games like this do make you think about the difference one guy could make. For sure if there is an opportunity for a one year rental where the cost isn't exorbitant, I hope Beane will pursue it.

And I wonder how CIN keeps beating KC , the way McDermott explained it that KC was a few years ahead of us building there franchise. Then how can CIN keep beating them because there even further behind us 🤔
I was too sarcastic in my earlier response to this, it definitely is frustrating, but my takeaway is things are wide open in the AFC. The Bills will have their chances to take advantage of it. It remains to be seen if the Bengals are able to bring it home.

It's almost like it's not a simple linear comparison between teams.

Nothing against the Chiefs, but I am very happy to see Cinci send them home. The next few years in the AFC are going to be wild. I thought everyone was going a little crazy anointing the Chiefs as the champions, so let's hope this puts a stop to it.

But I was so sad before him, and I know he's not perfect, no one is. He just needs another chance.
This is just a ridiculous and offensive analogy.

I have a strange feeling the Texans are going to hang in that game today. If not win it. Idk why.
Looking like a good call. The Texans are a talent deficient team but I was expecting them to be a complete tire fire. They are playing very well.

It can happen to any and all and probably will.
Like I said, Buffalo would be wise to Batten Down the Hatches right now, because the NFL rules are "test positive = Out".
Not sure the players/coaches have the will to request that of each other though.
What does "batten down the hatches" mean? If fully vaccinated players are having it spread this widely is there any reason to think it can be prevented? This seems like the NFL has set itself up for a disaster heading into playoff time.

I know the season isn't over and we still have a good chance to make the playoffs, but there's no reason to believe this team is capable of winning a game against any team who's physical in the trenches or be able to come back and win a game from behind. The beauty of the drought was having no expectations. I don't even know how to process this season besides it being a disappointment. There's a lot of off-season work to do and I don't know if it will be possible in just one year. We've proven that we need to upgrade at least 3 spots on the offensive line, get a genuine pass rusher (not a rotation!), a big space eater up the middle, a DB to fill in for Tre (Tre won't be back until November and Wallace is a UFA), and a MLB who can actually make a play. This team needs to change at a core level, and I hope it can be done with tweaks, but I honestly don't know anymore.
Go Bills
Thanks for all your thoughts, I just wanted to comment on this. For me I'm looking at the positive, Allen is a huge piece to build around, and the gap between teams just is not that big in this league. I think with a guy like Allen you're always in the mix to one degree or another, and you just need some breaks to go your way. It's not looking like it will happen this year, but maybe next year even if they can't fix everything.
I can't blame anyone for getting dispirited, though.

There are no building blocks. This is the remnant of them going all in back in 2016-2018. Signing Matt Ryan and Julio Jones to those
huge long contracts back in 2018 was not wise. All of Ryan's restructures has him with a $48M cap hit next year. They need a complete rebuild.
$48M, holy crap. Big dead cap if they cut him I'm guessing?
-
Just painful to watch. What even are the building blocks for Atlanta at this point? This reminds me of watching some of those Jauron-era teams for the Bills.
-
I've started to think the NFL should eliminate overtime outside of playoff games. Then in that case, just tack on extra quarters until there is a winner. You could set up some interesting decisions at the end of games, do you kick an extra point and settle for a tie, or go for two and risk a loss but possibly get the win?
No overtime rules I've seen strike me as "fair", they're all just kind of artificially grafted onto the game.

Not sure about this whole manningcast curse but man will it be ugly on this board if this team looks bad and loses to Urban Meyer and the Jags this week.
It will also further magnify Beane's inaction on the trade front too.
If the Bills lose to the Jags I don't think anyone will care about the lack of trades.

I've watched enough videos to know "it's not the Bills ascending, but the Chiefs descending" in the eyes of the heads.
Some give them their due but a 10 minute segment will run and it will be two minutes of highlights, 2 minutes of "wow look at buffalo", followed by 6 minutes of"what happened to the chiefs?"
That's true, but the thing is, Keyshawn didn't even try to offer any analysis. It was just, oh it's early in the season, and the Chiefs will bounce back because of Mahomes and Reid, oh and Lamar Jackson is amazing too.
