  1. I'm going to make one last post on this, because I think we're starting with such different preconceptions that we can't really make each other understand. I put where I live because I think it's interesting to see where people live. That was about it, and I thought that was enough to make it worth the 2 seconds to enter that info. Now, if you can't believe that I didn't do it out of some desire to feel superior to others, maybe you should just put me, and everyone else who in some way takes advantage of the location field provided by the forum, on ignore. I've never posted one negative thing about the city of Buffalo or the WNY area, so to have something so inconsequential seized on as some kind of proof that I'm dissing the area where I grew up is pretty hurtful.
  2. You know what, I regret making that earlier comment, I really don't want to get in a big flamewar. I think I about 100% disagree with you on this topic but I shouldn't post snide one-liners. I apologize. Talk to you later on other topics where we hopefully won't disagree so vehemently?
  3. Thanks for not trying to make an intelligent reply, that would've been painful for everyone to watch.
  4. It's a quick and easy identifier to stand out. If "John from Hemet" was just "John" would we recognize him? If "bills_fan_in_raleigh" were "bills_fan_16734" would we know him from "bills_fan_16735"? What I'm still trying to understand is why the hell you care. It's a screen name. If we wanted to brag we'd mention that our cars cost more than the average house in Buffalo. But who would be that arrogant?
  5. So now we're getting called out on the main Stadium Wall board for posts that other people are making on the off-topic board? Ridiculous. If you have a problem with what someone posts call them on it. But I don't appreciate being slammed because my life led me away from WNY. It doesn't make me a better person, but staying is not some badge of honor either.
  6. Who's doing that? I mean, I could see the point if it was in response to something someone said, but instead he unleashes this unhinged rant on a guy because he has Raleigh in his screen name. If VJ91 is insecure or unhappy about living in Buffalo, he should get over it or move. Those of us who live elsewhere aren't rubbing his nose in it if we put our city in our profile or our screen name.
  7. Wow, who appointed you the representative of Western New York? Get over yourself. You're not some kind of hero for still living in WNY.
  8. Actually what seems to be happening is that as the talent level on the team increases (and I think it has) Jauron's coaching deficiencies come into sharper focus.
  9. I'm not going to insult you for continuing to go to games. If you enjoy the experience then great. As long as you feel you're getting your money's worth. However, I'm another fan who's found my enthusiasm simply destroyed by the apparent lack of any desire to win at OBD. I will always consider myself a Bills fan (as long as they're in the Buffalo area) and I could never be a fan of another team in the same way, but I do not see any reason to support a team and management that continues to stick with proven failures. We'll see how I feel after another offseason without football, but right now I have no intention of watching any games unless for some weird reason they're on local TV next year. And I don't think anyone who's making a similar decision should be called out for it. It seems to me it's the only rational response to the crap OBD is dishing out.
  10. If they don't care, why should you? Join me and Ralph in a hearty laugh at this team.
  11. No, I think I've been preparing myself for this moment for the entire second half of the season. So all I have to left to do is laugh at the joke that this organization has finally proven itself to be, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
  12. There's much less anxiety in December as you never have to worry about whether the Bills will blow a chance at a playoff spot.
  13. And I hope that the moderators will be aggressive in stamping it out. There's absolutely no place for that, and anyone thinking it needs to step away from the game and take a good look at their priorities.
  14. So the PR pitch is "Hey, don't worry, if he really stinks for a fourth straight year he'll be gone. Honest!" I'm not buying, OBD. I don't think that's rain either.
  15. This is hilarious. When Ralph's laughing it up next year I'll be right there with him.
  16. Of course you do.
  17. It sounds like you'd like to see a change in both offensive and defensive philosophies and schemes. But if that's the case, given Jauron's deficiencies which you acknowledged, why keep him around at all? I don't see the downside to trying someone new. If he bombs, you move on. But we know what we have in Jauron.
  18. Maybe. But I can't help looking at the Falcons and the success they had after turning over the reins to a member of the NE braintrust. Obviously Belichick has a huge role in their continuing success, but I don't think Pioli would be able to stick around in that organization if he wasn't a big contributor.
  19. It has nothing to do with anything, of course. But that's the standard playbook. See criticism of Edwards incoming - deflect to JP and make an insulting reference to the poster's "crush" on JP. Really, it's beyond tiresome and into farcical at this point.
  20. I agree with you that the best hope for the Bills is for Edwards to pan out. I would also say that it does not make sense for the team to invest a lot of additional resources (high draft picks, huge FA signing) at the QB position at the moment. But it would be absolutely foolish for the team not to pick up a Griese/Leftwich-caliber veteran if one is available at a reasonable price. There are far too many question marks with Edwards for me to feel comfortable going into '09 with him as the only possible option at QB.
  21. Probably half the teams in the league would love to have Pioli come in. But why would he?
  22. And Cassel. He had some huge runs on 4th down.
  23. I think this is a good post, and I have to agree. The middle of the OL is a weakness, but not as glaring as the play at DE. An additional DT to put alongside Stroud wouldn't be bad either. 10 is too high to pick a C or TE with the other needs on this team. If they could find a trading partner I wouldn't be opposed to taking a player at those positions in a trade down, though.
  24. I've gotta go with Dallas, I think.
  25. You mean "amuses"? But thanks for livening up a boring Chargers/Broncos game!
