  1. Donald was drafted at #13, so no, I'm not too troubled that a guy we're drafting in the FIFTH round had difficulty handling him.
  2. Wow, a first-rounder made a fifth-rounder look silly? I can't believe they picked this guy!
  3. Yeah, even if they had picked another OL here I wouldn't have expected him to displace Williams at G. The biggest immediate impact you're likely to see from 4th-7th rounders is on ST.
  4. 5th rounder, 153(ish?).
  5. Different people are motivated to post at different times. If you'd recorded posters' names I'm reasonably certain that you would not see many people posting opinions that contradicted themselves.
  6. Don't like this move at all. Williams has ability but he's not a guy I want to bank on. I buy that that's the going rate for a guy like Stevie, but that's precisely why I wouldn't have done it. IMO his value to the team was higher than what they could get in trade.
  7. Gotta love the URL shortening.
  8. He's a fast guy from Clemson, not just another fast guy. Plus the Bills originally had the #9 pick in the draft the year they selected each of them. I think it's clear to everyone that they're identical.
  9. How does that equate to fleeced?
  10. He's an unrestricted free agent, why would anyone draft him?
  11. What's with all the hostility?
  12. You're assuming he reads his posts. I see no evidence of that.
  13. So now we're building up TJ Graham so that we can tear down Stevie Johnson? That's the plan now? Good to know.
  14. Well, at least when Graham asks Johnson how he'd feel if the team traded him, Stevie will know not to ask if Graham thinks they should.
  15. Along those lines, I've been thinking that it doesn't really matter that teams can't put together defenses that will consistently and absolutely shut down opposing offenses any more. If your defense stands out relative to the competition and your offense is competent you will come out ahead. But as you say it's also a question of how good your scouting is.
  16. I think Goodell's proposal doesn't go far enough. After scoring a TD, a team should be able to wager up to 7 points on a one-shot play from the 2 yard line. Very few games would be out of reach anymore!
  17. Obviously Marrone, obviously.
  18. No way. I think in a lot of ways having a guy like Dalton is the worst, because he's good enough to deter you from trying to get better, but I don't see him ever winning anything.
  19. As far as I can see both the sides with actual money in the game have approached things professionally. Everything I've heard from the Bills org has been emphasizing Byrd's professionalism and that they have zero problems with him. It seems like this is a case of the media needing bad guys and trying to make it personal.
  20. Or 6, depending on how St. Louis feels about Bradford. They're in a pretty good spot to draft a new guy if they want.
  21. Common guys, you can write better then that!
  22. I think teams like the Jags are pretty much irrelevant to this conversation. It doesn't really matter what they do, they're not going to win a lot of games either way. It gets more interesting when you're talking about more talented teams, or maybe teams that are much better on one side of the ball. For instance, the Jets - should they go for it on 4th down more because their defense can bail them out when it doesn't work? Or should they play more conservative because they can rely on their defense to make more stops and play a field position game. I think those are the interesting cases to discuss.
  23. Considering those players were all selected in different years, I don't think that's true.
  24. Yeah, that team that drafted Orakpo, Gronkowski, and Wilson had a killer draft!
