I'll own up to that. Schiano was a trainwreck (so I thought he was underutilizing talent and Lovie Smith could direct them better), plus I thought McCown could provide competent QBing for them. Early results are not promising.

I don't think Allen is average, and as a #2 receiver I don't think Floyd is either. Unlike Chicago, they're missing that great all-around RB, but Rivers is better than Cutler so that offense is pretty damn potent.

I think a lot of people were coming up with possible mitigating circumstances - not even necessarily based on anything that was being said about the incident, but maybe just a desire to believe that someone wouldn't just do something like that. So in the absence of video evidence they could come up with "reasonable doubt" scenarios.

Heck, I think he should be fired because he's done virtually nothing right in this whole fiasco. Not the 2 game suspension part - agree or disagree with that, it is at least a debatable issue. But by trying at every turn to minimize the public outcry and just hope this issue goes away, he's turned it into a PR disaster. If you were an owner, would you really want him to stick around?

I have to quibble with this, Miami is shaky at LB due to injuries. They are down at least one starter and may potentially have all of them out, or limited.

Yeah, I mean the thing for me is I wouldn't say that Manuel came close to putting my concerns about him to rest, but how do you watch that game and have your takeaway be that's he's horrible?
